DD just poked her head around the door to wish me Happy Mothers Day (I agree with your Mil Oma, it is Mothering Sunday).

I don’t feel up to posting much but wish all you mothers a happy day, being spoilt.

Oma, my hands aren't as bad as that, yet, with wringing etc yesterday I feel them, my poor foot (feet) are worse.

Daisy, I had some things to take to the charity shop, I do like the one in the next village where I got the pots from, they were new! The lady at the cash desk thought the price was too low! They were not too big, just getting the plants moved from one to the other.

You are right about the family decisions for Mothers Day, Christmas etc, I have always said that the boys have their own lives, as long as they don't forget me, I don't believe in them "having" to visit me.

Have a lovely day ladies and Plant I hope you feel better as the day goes on.

Its nice and bright here after the awful rain yesterday it came down in sheets mixed with hailstones not pleasant at all so no trip to the shops which was put off until this morning so once they open ay 10am I'll be off.My doggy friend is very good at being left on her own I have called at my neighbours house next door to check if she barks when left and she hasn't heard a sound so very pleased with her she is doing well with my commands and is very at sitting and staying when I put out her food she doesn't touch it until I tell her to "go now" she does the same at bed time when I switch off the lights and tell her to "sleep now" she doesn't even attempt to come into my bedroom she is so good.

I've decided to start the work on my back garden sooner rather than later I am having the shed taken down and disposed of and flags underneath it extended I don't need it now that I have gotten rid of the 2 x freezers in there (plus the freezers save me lots of electricity according to my friend) I can then fill some pots for the summer and have the table and chairs set up on the flags so a nice cuppa can be shared with friends when the suns out.All I have to do is find a handy man locally with a van to do all the clearing for me I'm sure I will find someone on FB Marketplace at a reasonable price just got to make sure they have the correct licence for the tipping as some are naughty doing clearance.

Well I'm off to the Supermarket now as they have just opened enjoy the rest of the day lovely people I will catch up soon xxx

        Keep Calm,You're Fabulous

Lizzie and Daisy I agree about Mother's Day. I always 'had' to see my mum and either take her out or entertain her here. I never heard the end of it the one year I didn't! This year of course she doesn't know when Mothers Day is so yesterday was fine.
My DDs know they don't have to see me and some years I don't see any them on the day.

It is nice when I do like this year though

                Been a lovely day,albeit a busy one.

GD2 came with her dad,(DS1) for dinner.
He brought me a lovely big bunch of lillies and 2 bunches of tulips.
GD2 brought me a scented candle.
Oma, i told her the same as you,i'm not your mother.
We haven't seen DS2 today. He came on Friday with his partner.

                Plant,hope you feel better soon.

DS1 has just been for coffee and to see how my new TV is working, he has given me an idea to make the TV so that the sound bar fits under it, why didn't I think of that!!! I have just measured it so will be going to the DIY place one day this week.

He has asked if both GD's can stay here for the weekend in a fortnights time, nothing is sure yet, he will be in Wales etc all that week, returning to Leeds on the Friday, the plan is for DIL to fly to Leeds to meet up with him then fly back together on the Monday morning. I will make the beds up when I know for certain.

                        Good morning ladies.

                        A wet morning here.

A ride out and change of scenery is a good idea Nan2.

So pleased to hear you were feeling better Plant. Take it easy and get well.

I'm sure you and the GDs will enjoy a weekend together if it comes off Lizzie.

I enjoyed my day with the family yesterday .
SIL2 went out for lunch with his mum and dad then came to us for coffee and cake later. You could see GD, 13, was besotted with the baby and holding him as much as he could 😊

My glasses are ready to be collected from Boots opticians this morning. No plans otherwise. I am hoping to be able to do my library morning tomorrow, so will try not to do too much today.

Oma, who wouldn’t want duck twice, I love it but never buy it. I wonder if the person who has the other shoes did it deliberately as they have odd sized feet. Good luck.

Nanto, enjoy your trip to the farm, don’t forget the wellies. I love swede but I don’t buy it. I wonder if I could freeze it cooked. I am not keen on any frozen veg. Although it would be less wastage.

Gemini, take care if you are going to go to the Library tomorrow. I can remember when I was your GD’s age loving my baby nephews.

I wish we could hear from our missing ladies, I wonder how they are. When I am better and free from Covid I might go and knock on WG door. I am a bit worried about Clover but I play a game with Enfys, will check up on her.

Lizzie, a weekend with your two GD’s sounds great, what will you plan?

                              Cooked Turnip freezes well .
                              How are you today ?

We took the shoes back and they had been looking for the odd shoes
Double checked we had the right sizes this time .

Good Monday morning everyone. It's raining here which scuppers my plans to carry on with the gardening we started yesterday.

Nanto, lovely tulips. I noticed some of ours are almost in flower.

Oma, I hope you get the shoes sorted out, and perhaps you'll be able to find some sandals that fit better for you. I hope the swap over to Virgin goes smoothly. Is it just your TV or your whole broad band?

Plant, it's great to see you posting again. Do take it easy though and let yourself recover properly. I always worry and think about our missing ladies too. It's difficult for them to post if they're struggling with problems. They always say they don't want to moan, but we're friends and friends are there when things aren't great as well as for the good times.

Gem, what a lovely day it was for you with the family. Did you get some photos of GD with the baby? It's lovely when older siblings/cousins are close to the little ones. How is your sciatica today?

We had a lovely day yesterday. DS2, DIL and both GDs called round with a card and a lovely plant for me. It was great to see them all, and the girls loved my new electric piano. GD2 was telling me she is a Roman centurion in the play her year is doing at school. She was pleased about that, because she thinks they were better armed and a more disciplined army than the ancient Britons they were opposing. Mummy has made a very striking tabard in red and black felt for her!
