Plant you will soon be able to go shopping yourself again.
Good to get the shoes sorted out Oma.
Lovely family afternoon for you too yesterday Daisy
I too think of Clover and Enfys . Mimi and Grauntie too, although Mimi has been posting recently.
Nannycuddles has been producing some lovely art work. I keep meaning to email to ask her to share some with us here .
A productive morning. I collected my glasses, posted a friend's birthday card and went with OH for her to return some clothes to Primark.
Just taking it easy this afternoon.

Daisy we got the whole package Phone, Broadband etc ,
Its all done now its just me learning to use the new remote and the box in the bedroom ,
That will take some time as I am useless at remembering
Oma, glad you got the shoe problem sorted.
We have been with Virgin for donkey's years, always been happy with it.
Our mobiles are with Virgin as well.
I was thinking about Clover and Enfys a few days ago.
We didn't get to hubby's farmer friend.
GD2 came. She said grandad, every time i lock my door on the car,the boot unlocks.
Well, he eventually got it sorted. He did explain to me what the problem was, but it went a bit over my head.
She ended up staying for dinner and most of the afternoon.

We, well in fact OH came to DD1's rescue last night! Water was backing up into the sink from the washing machine and dishwasher. She had tried to sort it out but couldn't. OH donned old clothes a torch and some tools and sorted the problem out. That was a plumbers call out saved - if you can even get one to come!
Library this morning. I will tell them I am still not right so will work accordingly. As in slowly! My friend M will meet me at the cafe there for lunch. From there I will pick up GS1 from school. I wait in the car for him, so no more walking after the library!

Gem, so pleased your OH sorted DDs water problem.
Take it easy at the library.
Started spotting with rain,so didn't get the washing out..
Not to worry, its not the end of the world.

Oma, I'm sure you'll get used to the new remote and box in the bedroom. I am totally confused by our new tv remote, but I don't use it much so it doesn't bother me. I'm also having to get used to new phone handsets. I keep cutting off incoming calls because the green 'phone' button is lower down than on our old ones.
Nanto, your OH did a good job sorting out GD's car locking problems. They can be tricky things. At least the rain started before you'd hung the washing out.
Gem, your OH is a star, sorting out DD1's plumbing like that. Take care at the library - don't overdo things. Then relax and enjoy your well-earned lunch with your friend M.
Plant, I hope you're making progress still. Have you tested negative yet? xxx
Talking about getting people to do jobs in the house, we seem to have all sorts of problems just lately. Today someone's coming round to give us a quote for sorting out our window catches. Some of them are so stiff I can't open them. Someone else is supposed to be coming to repair a 'blown' window in the kitchen. The shower in our ensuite is playing up - it's not funny when it goes from 36/37C to freezing cold. We've tried putting new batteries in the controller but that hasn't worked, so Aqualisa is sending out someone to fix/replace it. OH is quite handy, and can do most routine repairs but there do seem to be a lot of them!
It's rained again overnight, but stopped now so we're going to get some gardening done today.

Morning Ladies ,
Been a busy morning .
Did a dark wash too Nanto but its drizzly here so went in tumble .
We then went to Sainsburys for a few bits and bought MILs cigarettes £ 31.70 for two packs
Then went to Wilko Boots and Super drug , from there to Matalan ,
We need to go to B&Q but will go after lunch I have had enough for now .
I feel a bit tight chested and breathless today so its making me feel tired .
Plant
How are you today any better ?
Gem
S is like B so handy she saved a small fortune I bet
Be careful at the library xx
Daisy
If one thing goes wrong it all does at once
Nanto
What would they do without Grandads to fix the cars ,
We have decided on Toad in the hole today , ages since we had that.
Hallo everyone, I had a hectic day yesterday, I was the coffee hostess all morning for the people helping with the tax forms, it was very busy. I got home and went to the pool, that was me done for the day.
Gem, well done to S sorting the plumbing out. The same with your DH Nanto and the car locks, I wouldn't have any idea how they work!
Daisy, as you say, your DH can't fix everything, then everything usually needs fixing at the same time. The friend that fitted my TV in the cupboard is coming to help one day with the shelf, I just called in the DIY place, they haven't it in stock so it will most probably be next week.
When I got this TV the friend fitted it all up, then, had to go to lunch with his wife, I had no idea how the remote worked, after watching the same awful thing all afternoon I finally got help from You Tube! I was so used to the other remote. I am used to it now though.

Good old you tube You can always find the answer there .
I don't know if any of you remember but some years ago B bought a huge motorised satellite dish that picked up hundreds of channels,
He had it put up at the back of the house.
I have always hated it honestly its huge and plain ugly we could pick up signals from Aliens on it its so big ,
Over the years we have argued about this damn Dish more than anything else.
Yesterday after the Virgin engineer left , B announced we no longer need it and we can get it taken down.
I wanted to cry with Joy and if I could I would have got the ladders out and ripped the damn thing down there and then .
At least this summer we can sit in the garden and I wont have to look up at the white Elephant hanging over us
Five minutes after i posted this morning about the rain, the sun came out.
Hung out the washing and it dried lovely in the sun and breeze.
Just one or two thick seams that were a bit damp.
Lizzie, you tube is very good for helping out.

Sorry I am late to the party, GD thought it was time for me to go out so we did a little shop and had lunch together. I am gradually getting my strength back.
What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare
