    Morning everyone .

Just a quick hello, I will be back when baby E has gone.

He had a feed at 11, then 4.30, then awoke at 8 smiling I fed him at 8.30, and after being washed and dressed and having a good play he is down for his morning nap. I can hear on the monitor that he's still awake though!

    Breakfast time for Grandma now.
    Talk to you later.

A perfect night for you both.

I think I am doing nothing. I had a face time with GD and H, she seems a lot better, just flops sometimes but she is smiling again. We still have a lot of snow hanging around so no real plans. I need to spend some time on the Christmas table runner, would be lovely if after three years I could get it finished.

Oma, I hope you get the stain out of your blouse.

Gemini, did you sleep knowing you had the baby, baby monitors are very good.

Hallo everyone, I braved our street, with spikes under my shoes, to get rib of the rubbish. After that I walked to the village, the paths are mostly clear, I just have to watch out for shiny patches. DS1 phoned and asked to meet him in the village for coffee so we had a good chat. GD1 is working and GD2 playing football. I wanted some pyjamas, because, the girl yesterday told me my arms and legs are far too dry and to put plenty of cream etc on when I go to bed, I decided if I have pjs it will same the bedding getting covered.

Gem, you would enjoy having GS3.

Nanto, I find it much warmer when I am walking then when I am on the bike.

Nan2, I hope you enjoyed your time with DS,

The tummy aches didn't come back for the baby thank goodness. Plant, he slept in my room so I didn't need the monitor during the night but it is very helpful for daytime naps and when he was in bed during the evening.

Good idea about the PJs Lizzie.

DD and SIL walked in to hear the baby chuckling on my knee. Then he was all smiles to see them, so the best of welcomes for them
After a cuppa and a feed for baby they set off home. We are having a relaxing afternoon.

Gem, I know you love having baby E, but there must also be a sense of relief that you can put your feet up and relax for a while when he's gone back home. How lovely that his Mummy and Daddy arrived back to hear him so happy and contented.

Plant, it would be lovely to be able to use your Christmas table runner this year. Poor little H. Has she had some kind of virus? (Sorry if I've missed this in an earlier post). How are your poorly family next door?

Oma, poor B. There's still a lot for the medical profession to learn about controlling pain. I can understand him not wanting to increase the dose, though. Tomato stains are one of the worst to get out, aren't they. I hope you managed ok.

Lizzie, pyjamas are a good idea anyway at this time of year, but as you say, they will save your bedding. I find my skin gets dry in this cold weather anyway, so I think yours must be painful. How nice to meet up with your DS1 for a chat and a coffee.

Well, we've put the Christmas tree up, and the outside lights. OH came in freezing after doing them, so I made him a hot toddy. I didn't want him to feel lonely, so I had one as well.

I'd better go and feed the family! Well, OH and Eva.

I enjoyed the coffee with DS1 Daisy, he even managed to get me looking for a new TV, he said if I don’t do it now I never will😏, I don’t know where he thinks I am going. I even had a second walk to the shop with a few questions.

I have oiled myself and I am sat in my pyjama. I think we all have drier skin with the cold Daisy, my tights and sleeves don’t help.We have one more very cold night then it should be warmer next week.

DS1 is in the UK next week, Hull this time for a few days.

                  Daisy
B put our lights out a few weeks ago ,
Not to turn on then but so they were up before the weather turned too cold , he’s pleased he did now .
I bet that hot toddy was welcomed and it would have been rude not to join him 😁

                  Lizzie
PJs are much warmer this weather anyway , saves constant washing of the bedding
                  Cream can get everywhere ,
Nice to buy a new TV , it’s a treat to yourself .

                  Gem
I bet they were relieved to hear baby chuckling it shows he was happy with Grandma 😀
Did you sleep ? I know when we had ours overnight I could never fully relax any little movement and I was up 😀

                  Plant
I did get the stain out but had to finally put a tiny drop of bleach on them ,
Luckily being white I was able to do that ,
I tried all my usual methods , stain remover , lemon & salt , etc but they wouldn’t budge ,
Bleach took them out instantly .

Think I’m coming down with Bs cold , I hope not but feels like it .
Im not fat just 6ft too small

That sounds cosy in your new PJs Lizzie.

Daisy you would both need a hot toddy after OH being out in the cold
You are right. I love having baby E here. I didn't think we would have any more GC and he is so gorgeous and precious.
However, it is hard physically on my back etc, although OH helps me a lot. It is nice to give them back as you say. There is a reason we don't have babies at my age!

Oh Oma I hope you are not coming down with the cold xx I did sleep but not much. Baby E is a noisy sleeper. Murmering in his sleep etc!

Gem, I was wondering about your back when you said you were having little E. Even quite young babies can be physically hard on us grannies without having back pain to contend with as well.

Oma, it was lucky it was a white blouse with having to bleach it. I remember years ago I had a nice pink long-sleeved blouse that I wore to work quite often. But one day I must have splashed just one spot of bleach on the cuff. What can you do! The only solution I came up with, which kind of worked was to paint over the white spot with a pink hi-light pen. It washed out every time I washed it, but I just re-did it each time. I do hope you're not getting B's cold. Look after yourself and try and ward it off.

Lizzie, I'm sure you're right about skin being drier in the cold, although I think having central heating on doesn't help because it dries out the air too much. We got a new tv during the last lockdown - our old one broke. We're so glad we did. The new ones are so much clearer and comfortable to watch. We also got a sound bar on the advice of our DS2 and that gives much better sound that the tv itself.

                        Another cold one.

We had a lovely day yesterday with DS2 and partner.
His partners mum came, and we were waited on hand and foot.

Back to reality today. Cooking and cleaning.
Just put a load of darks in to wash.
Gammon for dinner today. Not hubby's favourite but he will eat it.
Must catch up on all your news from yesterday.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

Good morning ladies. One week until Christmas Day!

You deserved being waited on yesterday Nan2.

Oma, how are you feeling today?

We are going out to lunch With my auntie. It's a while since we have been out with her, so I decided rather than just visit to exchange Christmas cards I would book us a table for Sunday lunch. It's a little pub in a village close to hers that I have had my eye on for ages. It is her birthday on the 27th, so I must take a card for that too.

Im popping to M&S this morning for a gammon , Great minds think alike 😀
we love it from there , I only buy a small one it’s enough for us
How nice to be looked after for a change x

Done what I need doing cleaned bathroom and all towels in the wash , I want to take shower curtains down to wash but I will let them drip a while get the shower water off first , Hate shower curtains but have no other option being a wet room there is no place for shower screens .

I need to go to Morrisons too , it’s the only place I can get Pumpernickel rolls , our big Morrisons didn’t have them in on Thursday so I will try our small local one ,I wish Lidl did them it’s nearer but although they are a German shop they don’t have a lot of German stuff in , they cater for the English palate these days .
Have a good day ladies x
