      Good morning all.

      Yum Nan2!

Gosh Lizzie, the alarms on your phone must have been a bit of a shock!

I don't think Premier Inns have done biscuits in the rooms for some time Plant. I always take a little Tupperware box of biscuits and some Earl Grey teabags 😊

Daisy, we didn't know who Becky Hill was either!

This morning we are going to Aldi.
This afternoon we are going up to the big 'ouse!
What we call H...... Towers, OH's brother's home.
OH's younger niece and her 4 year old are up for half term , staying with her parents, and asked us over. Her sister's 2 boys, 6 and 8 are up for the week too, staying with their grandparents. They all live in London so we don't see much of them.
OH's brother and SIL live about half an hour's drive away from us but we never see each other.

            Good Monday morning everyone.

The weather is much calmer than yesterday, (no storms, Oma) so I think Plant should have a smooth crossing from Poole this morning.

Nanto, it feels quite mild here as well, and the forecast for later in the week is warm for the time of year. If I pop round for dinner can I have double helpings of cheesy mash, please?

Gem, a busy day for you. I'm sure you will have a lovely afternoon, and it will be fun to see the children. It's amazing how many people live quite close to relatives but never see them. We have two nieces living about half a hour away and we hardly see one of them - mainly because she works week-ends and her OH works long days during the week. Still, all the nicer when we do get together.

I should have been going to a friend's for coffee this morning but her OH had gone down with Covid, so I've got a golden opportunity to do housework!! Haha. I've got plenty to do! Another niece (my God-daughter) is coming to stay for a few days tomorrow. She lives in St Helens but is coming down south for a wedding today (pleased the sun is shining for them) and coming on to us tomorrow. She's worked out she hasn't been to our house for about 13 years, and we're really looking forward to seeing her.

How nice to see her after all this time or is it just she hasn’t been to your house for so long .

Enjoy a good long catch up.

Oma, it's just that she hasn't been to our house - she lives near Manchester, so it's quite a distance.

Nanto - our niece was hoping to see glorious Autumn colour in the Forest, but it's a bit too early for the really spectacular colour. Still, the pigs are out and that's always a sight to see. I'm seeing photos on photography sites of rutting stags, but I haven't heard them yet. They bellow, and if the wind's in the right direction we occasionally hear them.

Good morning, I didn't get for the lunch yesterday, DIL got a cold. My neighbour came with her delicious pumpkin soup so I had a good lunch.

Daisy, our trees have been fantastic colour a few weeks now, sadly with the wind and rain they are losing the leaves now. It must be amazing to see a stag!

Gem, I hope you enjoyed your visit to the mansion!

I was reading that many people complained about the alarm at 10-30pm! Most were asleep and couldn't get back to sleep again. The solution is to turn the phone off or the sound, only thing is we don't get those alarms often, luckily.

DS1 was going to Scotland for a few days but that has been postponed as they are going to Maastricht for a few days tomorrow and he wouldn't have been home in time, he is going to London on Monday I think, by train, it takes under 4 hours from Rotterdam with the Eurostar.

I am going to the fysio later, I have maybe overdone the walking.

Nice bright morning. I can see the sun in the distance.

Not doing anything special,i'll be pottering about.

Taken a home made chicken and vegetable pie out of the freezer.
                      An easy one pot meal.

                        Good morning everyone.

It will be lovely too see your niece I'm sure Daisy.

I hope the physio helps Lizzie.

Nice and bright here too Nan2, but chilly.

We had a very nice time seeing OH's family yesterday. I only got lost once (in the house)
As it is half term GS1 will be here all day. We are going to see a short play at a library branch in the next village. We will probably lunch out then have relaxed afternoon at home.

Time for my shower, talk to you later

We have arrived to the house, very large stone building but it has a spiral staircase with gaps in handrail so DD is very protective of me but I have settled in the first floor, very large room with en-suite. We had a lovely exit from Poole, it is a very attractive harbour. Once we left the harbour it got a bit rough and after breakfast two of our party were unwell. The rest of the crossing was very calm and sunny. Playing games at the large kitchen table with GGS and GGD before dinner. I think there will be some bubbles before then.

Daisy, more visitors, well one, have fun.

Gemini, have fun at the big house.

You may need to rest up for a few days ,
I suppose the Alarm is a good thing in a way but a pain in the bum in ways too ,
Not great when you get woke up by it and can’t get back to sleep , it’s the shock of the noise waking you unsettles some people .

Pleased to here you arrived safely and are enjoying it , Hope the crossing home is calm

Nothing planned today so I have filled the washer with Soda crystals and put it on a hot wash to give it a good clean ,
Put drain cleaner down kitchen sink bathroom and loo sinks and B is now taking the trap up in the wet room floor to clean that out .

We out for a meal tonight with our friends D&J

We had our first Toffee apple of the year last night , ihave to have mine chopped in slices I find trying to bite into them too hard I end up with the toffee more up my nose πŸ˜‚ it was nice though 😁

Plant, good to know you have arrived safely. I would have been one of the unwell ones!

                              Enjoy tea out Oma
They invited us to stay for tea yesterday so we didn't leave until after 7. Nice to eat with them all. They seem to be surviving having 3 boys under 9 staying. But then it was only Monday

A very quick Good Morning from me. We overslept, and I want to get tonight's dinner prepared before my niece arrives. We're going out for 'happy hour' at tea time, so don't want to have to cook when we get back. I'll make some soup for lunch as OH is going to a funeral at 2 pm so he'll want to eat early.

                                Chat later.
