    Morning ladies
    Ive been busy ironing etc,
Im waiting for DDto ring Storm had to go to Hospital on Saturday night he was vomiting all day then Saturdaynight he went outside and DD said he just poo blood everywhere .
Rushed him to emergency vet they put him on a drip and took him intoHospital .
She went to pick him up yesterday they said his bloods were fine they think it’s just a nasty strain of Gastroenteritis.
let him come home with meds but left his cannula in and she had to take him to his own vet this morning and they will decide if he has to go back into hospital ,
    So worried about him 😢

Woke up at a reasonable time today. No GC today, my DD and Sil can have a ME day. I am going to have lunch at the village hall later, our new manager is trying to get the hall used more.

Oma, what a wicked tongue your Mil has, how nasty to say that to Claire. Good job you were there to tell her off. B looks very smart.

Gemini, I think I will start my Christmas cards today, my list gets smaller each year, it makes it quite a sad job.

WG, I must look out for your decorated post box and tell the GC to as well. A good idea to get your fence fixed properly otherwise it will always be a problem. You must almost be there with the improvements to your new home. It must be lovely for you to have impromptu visits from the family now you are closer to them.

Lizzie, We have every supermarket within a short drive, I haven’t heard anyone talk about the boxes.

Happy Monday Ladies the start of another week the weeks are flying by so quickly.
This week I am getting DS1 to get decorations down from the loft I am not going overboard with dec's as I am having Christmas with my DD & her partner at their house so just my half xmas tree & some favourite ornaments to go up.
I have some lights already on my conifer tree outside the front door I never took them down from last year they run on batteries so they just need replacing and all will be good along with a couple of xmas wreaths should look good I put everything up for the 15th which is DS1s birthday.

The little ones are getting excited about xmas they understand what its all about now they are enjoying the things they are doing at school GGD is Mary in the Nativity and GGS is a shepherd GD is singing in the choir with the little ones so there is much excitement with them all.

Oma such lovely pics of your family I hope Brian enjoyed his birthday with lots of cake, how nasty was your MIL that comment was certainly not called for was it ? so glad she was put back in her box.

This week I have been playing about with my new cooker getting used to all the new settings etc I am really pleased with it and very grateful to DS1 for buying it for me even if he has said its my xmas present for this year.

Enjoy the week ladies speak soon

                      Evening ladies ,
After a day on antibiotic drip, sedation, and tummy scan. Storm is back home for the night but has to go back tomorrow ,
His scan was clear , his bloods are fine apart from his protein is low that’s due to the Gastroenteritis

He isn’t well but hopefully with all the Antibiotics he will start getting better ,
He isn’t eating just wants to sleep , he’s one sad little lad bless him .

Vet recons by time his treatment is finished it will cost about £5000 , luckily they have insurance with Sainsburys.
They did have insurance with another pet plan but they would never pay out there was always a excuse so DD changed last year .

We have been so worried all day .
GS came for his tea today and said he was upset at college but it was his mocks so had to get on with it .

Poor little soul I know how much you all love him Oma.

It does sound quite positive though. Keeping everything crossed for Storm.

GS3 is a bit poorly today after his jab. He has had some Calpol and a feed ( he refused earlier) so hopefully he will feel better and settle soon.

Oma, poor Storm. I really do feel for him, and for all of you. I bet he looks very sad and sorry for himself, and you can't explain to them. I'm sure he's getting lots of TLC at home, and that, with sleep and fluids, is the best thing for him at the moment. I remember the absolute joy on your GS1's face when you got Storm, so no wonder he's worrying about him. Thank goodness the scan was clear, even if the vet bills will be horrendous. It's a good job your DD changed last year. I've heard there are a lot of dogs getting severe gastroenteritis. Sending hugs. xx

Gem, poor GS3. I hope he sleeps well tonight and feels much better in the morning. The Calpol will help him settle, and if he's feeding now that's a good sign. Poor little man, though. You know it's for his own good, but you just want them to be better. I bet lots of cuddles help. xxx

Glamm, that's a good idea to leave the lights in the tree. You are going to look very festive, and I think it's a lovely idea to have your decorations up for your DS1's birthday. I'm glad you're getting on well with your new cooker. I'm just about coping with mine, but I overcooked a casserole yesterday because I did the conversion from Gas to the electric temperature, but forgot to allow for the quicker/hotter cooking with the fan oven! It was edible, but a bit crispy round the edges! Will you be able to go and see your GCs in their Nativity play? It's such a precious age, and very exciting for them.

Plant, what did Dd and SIL do with their 'day off'? Did many people go to the lunch in the village hall? The new manager sounds very keen. I know how you feel about your Christmas card list. I hate to see the crossed out names in my address book.

We had a busy day, but got quite a lot done. We started off shopping in the village. OH wanted to drop off a parcel in Tesco, and pay something in at the Pos Office. He did Tesco, I did the Post Office and stood in a queue for nearly half an hour - while the post mistress served one customer! Then we ran into a friend and had a good old chat. He was saying that one of his DDs has just moved to York, Gem, and loves it there.

Then we drove into town, and took my old sewing machine into the Singer shop to see if it was worth repairing. OH went to get new tyres for his trailer while I sorted out the sewing machine. Somehow or other I came out with a smart new one! It's clever - certainly cleverer than me - but not intimidating. I don't do much sewing, but hate doing it by hand. Then we went into DS2 and DIL's shop to drop off a couple of envelopes for the girls to say 'well done' on their good reports.

By this time, Eva was glad to get out and stretch her legs, so I took her onto the rec opposite the shop while OH went to the bank for DIL. The collar I'd got for Eva last week was just a touch too big so I took her into the pet shop to change it. They made a big fuss of her and she was very good, even walking past the doggy pick'n'mix with no more than a few sniffs. I think those low tubs of treats and bones are the equivalent of putting sweeties at the supermarket check out.

Then we took her into the little local pet shop for a new bed. We've been putting this off a bit but her present one has gone lumpy and it can't be very comfortable. She's difficult to buy a bed for. Too soft and she trashes it, and it's for our bedroom and needs to be flat, but firm. You wouldn't think they'd be hard to find, but they seem to be. She was so good - we let her try them out. She sat nicely on each one and lay down so we could check the size. She even ignored the pick-n-mix bins, although the owner did give her a treat. We'll see how she gets on with it tonight.

OH had to go out tonight, so I've ordered a new mouse for my computer, done the Sainsbury's order and portioned up a load of dog food. I think it's bedtime, now!

                                Night, night. x
