The upheaval for the carpets has taken over everything at the moment. So much for getting ironing/gardening done. It's rained - just tiresome drizzle - nearly all day. I spent quite a lot of the day talking with the rest of the family to organise a birthday lunch for OH. His actual birthday is on Monday, but he has an eye injection that day (good way to celebrate!) and I think we will be spending this week-end getting ourselves sorted out again. So we've settled on the following Saturday. How can something so simple take so long to arrange. I managed to take Eva out for a walk, and even dodged the showers.

I need to move my computer tonight and tidy stuff off my desk.

          I hope everyone is ok.

Its raining,i think its rained most of the night.
Spiders will be coming into the house, hence the graphic.

Not sure if we will get the garden job finished, due to the weather.

              Daisy
New carpet day how exciting , well I would be excited but then again I’m a sad sack
I don’t get out much so anything excites me 😂😂😂

              Gem
              how’s the mouth today ?

              Plant
Did you get any relief from the itching last night ? Hope you did.

              Lizzie
              Enjoy your lunch out today.

Nothing much for me to do today , I washed early this morning and dried them so a little ironing to do,
Dusting hoovering done, Storms chicken cooked and in his bowl.

My little great nephew has Hand Foot & Mouth, he’s only 2 ,it’s raging in the schools at the minute,
My Niece works in a chemists and said that’s all they have seen all week .
His Mummy sent a picture of inside his mouth that and his throat are covered in blisters bless him ,
All he can eat at the moment is ice cream, He’s off his food so not a problem ,
My niece said it usually gets better after about 6 days .

Think I might have a cup of tea it’s a long time since I had breakfast at 5.30 .

                Good morning everyone.

Daisy, you will need another holiday after all this work and upheaval!

I hope that little boy is better soon Oma.

I hope you don't see too many spiders today Nan2! I had to rescue one from the downstairs loo washbasin last night so I could wash my hands.

What I am doing today is going to the dentist! All socket packing gone and I can clearly see the bone. I have cancelled this morning's aquafit class, someone else can have my place. The dentist opens in 3 minutes so I am going to phone for an emergency appointment.

Good morning from the mad carpet house. We were so well organised but totally forgot that Eva loves the carpet fitter and every time he kneels down she thinks it's to play with her. So she's shut in the back of the house looking very sorry for herself!

Oma, yes I am excited, but will be glad when it's all done. Poor little Great Nephew. I remember one of our DSs getting HF&M but he was about 5 and not really poorly with it. I hope GN is better soon. It's a good job he likes ice cream.

It's very windy here, but rain is due later.

Nanto, love the graphic. I hope you're spared a spider invasion. It's difficult trying to get outdoor jobs done at this time of year, but nice to have some help - you and your OH have given them such a lot of help with the bungalow.

WG, I've never heard of drumstick lollies. I must have lead a very sheltered childhood!

Plant, I'm surprised your cafe on the green is still seating customers outside. Brrrr....

Lizzie, are you still enjoying your Indian Summer?

Gem, how is your mouth today? You must be getting fed up with all the pain and being unable to eat comfortably.

Dog training for me this afternoon, but I think I'll have to take Eva out this morning to keep her out of the way.

                  Take care everyone.

ABSOLUTELY Daisy!! SO fed up. I have an appointment at 11 anyway. Not sure if OH will drive me in but I hope so as it's a bit wet for buses, and I don't want to pay for parking when I have a bus pass!

Oh I have just remembered that we are going to the theatre tonight, to see an Agatha Christie play. We plan to go by bus as the bus stop is right outside the theatre (and it's free!)
I must go and print off the tickets now.

Good morning, Daisy, no sun today, rain forecast this evening, it is very windy at the moment. Good luck with the carpets! Eva thought you had found her a playmate!

                          Oma, you poor great nephew!

Gem, I hope you get the appointment.

I have just got the pattern made so that is ready if I fancy cutting out! My sister was a tailoress, she was very good as well, I always remember her coming home from her first week as an apprentice and telling us that the tailors had a "cutter"!

Good Morning everyone,How good it is to be back on line my BB has been off for 5/6 days the BT men damaged the line last week when they where fitting new lines and its taken them what seems like forever to repair the damage but all done and up and running again.

My friend has been staying for 4 days and we have been out and about choosing the wallpaper for my kitchen and settled on the black & white striped I saw in Homebase my friend is a DIY expert and she put it up for me it looks good and goes well with the black and white flooring.

On Monday last I went for a check up at the eye clinic and after drops and photographs it was decided that I didn't need a further injection to the left eye as it has improved as much as it can so that is a relief just need to go for a check up in 2 months then hopefully be signed off the clinic.

Its damp and chilly here the rain has kept away this morning but over the past few days it has rained none stop Oliver has stayed indoors he hates the rain at the minute he is not talking to me as I gave him his flea treatment yesterday he is not very pleased with me.

I've caught up with everyones news and you all seem very busy with your live's hoping you are all well.

I need to make an appointment for next booster at surgery for Covid and to have flu jab maybe next sometime I'm not sure of having both at the same time only because when I had pneumonia
& flu jab together I was poorly for a week.

There is a lovely aroma in my house at the minute as the slow cooker has been on since 6am I am doing a pan of scouse for our evening meal Jim next door loves it and my DGD is calling in for a meal after she finishes work.

Keep well everyone & take care glamma xx

Storm isn’t a lover of rain either , he has been in and out all day , ok opening door to come in but he hasn’t learned to close it after himself yet 😁
I bet Jim can smell that scouse and his tummy will be rumbling 😁

I got up quite late so had a rush, hence why I am late reading your posts. I have been to the tip with my paper and card and called into Dobbies for some bulbs for my pots. Had a coffee, by then it had started to drizzle. I plastered myself with cream for the itching and took two paracetamol for the neck and shoulder pain last night and slept like a log, didn’t get up until 9.30. I am going to the village hall later for the games afternoon.

Daisy, poor Eva, she thought she had a playmate. The fitter are usually very quick laying carpets so it will not be long before you are straight again. the drizzle has arrived here now. The cafe on the green gets a lot of trade from white van drivers and walkers but I can’t believe he will not open the doors again although it is a very small cafe. He has quite a few chairs and tables on the pavement outside. He is local so people like to support Jo. There is also a little general stores next door.

Glamm, lovely to hear from you. Your kitchen sounds very smart, nice to have a friend who likes DIY. I think I would like Scouse, I have never had it, Jim is so lucky to have you next door.

Lizzie, you obviously have dressmaking skills, do you ever buy garments?

Gemini, sorry to read you are having problems again, I hope the dentist can help. Enjoy the theatre.

Oma, that hand, foot and mouth doesn’t sound very pleasant for the little lad, I hope it clears up soon. My eldest GS had slap cheek when I was looking after him, I thought he had rosy cheeks from the wind until he woke in the morning.
