Oma, it is someone who knew she was away and that she had jewellery etc laying about. With a neighbour we have figured out how they got to the second floor, the first floor have a huge balcony and they can use that to get to the second, stand on shoulders etc, that is what we think.

What they do at that hospital is place a pump???? He did explain it to me and I will be getting a mail with information. there is only one surgeon in the Netherlands that places them, usually by males but 30% female as well. I have looked at the map at the distance I will have to travel.

Enfys, I can sympathise with you and your knee being painful.

I can happily report that all the srew has finally gone. We can now look forward to having something different for lunch today.... oh, err , now what shall we have ?

Oma poor you having to have dental treatment in January but its a good idea to have Christmas first.

Enfys knees can be so painful. It seems every lady of a 'certain age ' that I speak to either have knee pain or hip pain .

I have a drs telephone appointment this morning to discuss my blood pressure. More tablets to take I assume.

I didn't get around to wrapping presents yesterday. I used to love wrapping Christmas presents but now it doesn't appeal to me so much.

DD rang Storm seeing Vet at 3 but he’s much better , eating well and going for short walks ,
Hes also took up neighbour hood watch again at the window ,his favourite pastime .
Making sure he misses nothing especially any cats that he loves , he hasn’t done that for almost a fortnight .
Only thing is now he has gone from loose to being constipated but bless him cant be much in his stomach .

Quick hello from me. At the dentist for quick checkup but didn’t realise was seeing the hygienist as well. Ds1 and DIL coming for lunch. It may be a bit late now. !!! 😁

No water here Our village and the next and also DD1's which is a bit further away. Yorkshire Water are aware and say it should take 4 to 6 hours. So, baby wipe type washes today! Luckily I had shower yesterday lunchtime when I got back from aquafit, so I can last out!

GS2 was perfect as narrator in his nativity last night. I know he is my own so I am biased, but I have never heard a better one. So clear and with so much expression. There were some rounds of applause at the end of songs which they hadn't had at yesterday's performance apparently . Like a professional he waited, smiling until it died down before speaking. My little star!

This afternoon I am going to see my mum. This evening we are going to our friends J and M to deliver their card and Christmas presents.
This morning I must wrap said presents, and I may do some more festive decorating around the house.

Jack Frost has been here too, very sparkly outside. I am going to see my DS this morning, it is his 62nd birthday. I will be driving past the post box WG and friends have decorated. Had a lovely lunch yesterday with my WI friends. A friend drove so I could drop my car off at the local garage for a new tyre to be fitted, apparently it had a nail in it.

Gemini, I used to love going to the Nativity plays at the schools when my GC were in them. Well done to your GS for being a narrator. I hope you manage without water for that long.

Oma, I hope you find your mil in a happy mood. Love the sound of her food. I do hope B is feeling better. Pleased to hear Storm is on the mend.

The water came back on about an hour ago. I have run the dishwasher which was full, and filled the filter jug and kettle just in case there are any more problems!

It’s snowing ,
when we came back from MILs ( she was in a good mood 😁) we went to B&M and then across the road to our well known garden centre to look at the Christmas displays and decorations ,
They have amazing stuff in but this year the prices are way over the top £6 for a single bauble ,one I looked at I bought last Christmas it was £2.99 then , I know because when I went to add them to my tree this year it still had the little white price tag on the ribbon .

It was so cold I put my Hat scarf gloves on and I was still shivering ,

I didn’t have a good night I went to bed at 5 am and was up again at 6 so I lay on the sofa after lunch for a quick nap and slept for almost 2 hours ,
B said I was so sound he didn’t want to wake me , but I woke heavy headed and felt a bit woozy ,not used to that much sleep during the night never mind the day .

B has chipped another front tooth ,
he was eating some nuts and thought it was that but it was his front tooth ,

His teeth have been so brittle since he had all the chemo , he once had very strong white teeth ,
Now they are brittle and not a great colour but Dentist said nothing they can do to whiten them as they are not strong enough now .
Another trip and money to repair it on the cards 😳🤯

It has been a dull, cold and wet day here. DS2 phoned to see how I went on yesterday, he has to clean the rushes out of the surrounding dykes, he could get it done but it costs a fortune so he has bought a special warm, waterproof suit and is doing it himself. Not a very nice job but has to be done, he says he should have got it done earlier, before it got so cold, he will know better next year.

M from next door was just here for coffee, I bought some small jars in town for when I make my honey ointment, she loved the size and the price so I said I will go into town tomorrow and get some for her, she needs a larger size as well plus a basket like I bought so I am going with a shopping list.

Oma, I hope B gets his teeth sorted, the friend that has the lung problems from post covid has been taking so much penicillin that her teeth are rotting so she is having to have them done. I haven't been to the garden centre at all but I expect the prizes are high here as well.

DIL2 was telling me that her cousins husband has died, suddenly, he was about the same age as DS2, 52 he would be, they were both out running, the cousin went back to the park and he said to take the car and he would finish his run, he had a heart attack, he was rushed to the hospital but died a few days later, no age at all.

When I went to visit my mum she wasn't there but was in the pub next door!
It was a Christmas lunch out that I was so sure she wouldn't go on that I didn't put my name down to go with them. She had gone, and was in there having had a nice time and been very chatty I was told! I arrived in time for pud so had some very nice Christmas pudding . Typical of her she ate her starter and some apple crumble and custard but none of her turkey dinner! I stayed with mum back in her room for about an hour afterwards but she was very tired. I'm glad she went though.
