Good Morning ladies, I have had a very busy week this week for some reason my DS has been here most mornings and helped me with the back garden all the pesky leaves have been swept up and put in the compost bin he has been such a help I will miss him when he goes back to work on Sunday night,DGD has been after school two nights for her tea she seems very settled with regards to the move into her other grandma's house.
My DD had her Covid & Flu jab on Tuesday and has been poorly ever since poor girl I'm sure it is too much to the system to have both at the same time but Dr. said it should not affect her how wrong he was.

The sun is shining this morning first time this week it has rained every morning and been so miserable.

I am going to Aldi this afternoon for a big shop DS is taking me when he comes back from his eye test its not too far from me but I just hate navigating the massive roundabout in my car so am glad of the lift .

This week I have been out shopping for all the smelly gift sets for DGSs Christmas boxes the prices are slowly creeping up so I thought I had better get them bought just, got to remember where I put them when the time comes I am lucky this year as I can use DSs discount card for Sainsbury's/Argos for 20% discount for gifts for the little ones it will save so many £s.

Everyone seems to have had a busy week so enjoy the week-end and take care.

Good Friday morning everyone. This week seems to have sped by!

My internet connection is rubbish this morning after all the heavy rain of the last few days, so, just a quick 'hello' and I'll come back later. I wish Open Reach would get on with connecting our fibre to the property!

The sun is shining, so I'm going to get our banana and other tender plants wrapped up in their cosy covers ready for the winter.

No plans yet, if GD1 is not working she usually invites me to go down to her flat to see H. Their lives have got more complicated as they have inherited her Mil’s dog and she needs walking, they both work full time different shifts. Dil called in after work with a birthday card and present, she works full time at a local college for students studying film and television production. It is her son who has moved to London recently, she said he is having a good time but she thinks he is missing them. Sunny at the moment.

We have someone coming to check our water pressure sometime today , it seems to have dropped off ,
Its also taking ages for water to run hot in the kitchen sink so may have something to do with each other ,
Either way it needs sorting ,
I have some washing to do but didn’t want to put it on incase the water needs turning off , I will do it tomorrow .

Need to clear leaves again today while the sun is out.

Had plenty of sunshine today,towels have dried lovely.

Glamma,i need a couple more christmas presents tomorrow,then we are done.
The presents we already have are wrapped up.
Cards were written a couple of weeks ago.

It has been a lovely sunny day here today, but not a good drying day. The washing was out for ages but came in much the same as it went out!

We have had a busy day on the garden mainly sorting out tender plants for the winter. We didn't quite get it all finished though. I hope it's dry tomorrow.

Good morning, I went out for lunch yesterday with friends from the aqua, the restaurant is where I often go on the bike, yesterday I decided I would go in the car and get flowers for the ladies on the way, a good decision as we had a few showers whilst we were eating. The lunch was very good and we all enjoyed it. One couple have just got a new car, an electric one, they were proudly showing us everything, S has to get used to driving an automatic though.

DS2 phoned last night and I am going there for lunch tomorrow, so many km's in a few days for my car!

Daisy, I want to get my washing hung out today, I doubt if it will dry though.

Oma, I hope the water pressure got sorted.

Plant, your GS will miss his family, he will soon settle in to his new life. I won't even start about how I missed my family when I first came here!!! If someone had offered me a return ticket I would have gone without even packing! Fast forward 53 years, I am home!

No plans today apart from our flu jabs at 5ish. I have messaged our friend C to say we are free if they fancy meeting up. It is her op on Monday, so a difficult weekend for them.
I think DD and GS1 will be coming tomorrow.

I was the same when I moved here at the time it was a small place and 1 bus per hour if we were lucky.
Miles away from my close knit family .
It was 3 busses to get to my Mothers , I was so unhappy . Now 44 years later I can’t imagine living in my birth town now .

Oma, I don’t suppose I shall go back to where I lived as a child now that my sister has died. I wouldn’t want to live there now. I did go down to GD’s, she was so tired started work at 6am and she needed to walk the dog. I played with H whilst she did that and left after H was ready for bed. Her OH would not be home before 10pm They are like ships that pass in the night some weeks as they work shifts. they are both off this weekend.

I am doing nothing this morning and this afternoon I am going to a Craft Fair , a friend of mine organises two a year for her WI, I like to support her

Good Saturday morning, ladies. It's raining and the forecast looks like rain all day and into tomorrow. I'm glad we got quite a lot done in the garden yesterday. If there's a break in the weather we can wrap up the last two banana plants and perhaps get the canna lilies under cover.

In a funny sort of way I hope it dries up for bonfire night tonight. Otherwise they will be going off at random times for weeks!

Plant, did your homesick GS feel the same when he went to Uni? I'm sure he will always want to come and see his family, but he's such a friendly, likeable chap he'll soon have a busy social life in London. It was good of your GD and her OH to take on his Mum's dog, and must have been one less worry for his Mum when she was so poorly.

Lizzie, you are such a kind lady. I bet your friends were thrilled with the flowers yesterday. Enjoy your lunch with dS2 and family today.

Nanto, enjoy your lunch out as well. It's good to have a break from cooking, isn't it. I love your "weed police" teddy. He'd be very busy in our garden!

Gem, you need a quiet day sometimes. I hope you don't get any side effects from the flu jabs. How is C? I'm sure she must be feeling anxious about Monday, but the sooner the op is over and done with the sooner she can start on her recovery. I hope they can meet up with you to take both her and P's mind off things for a few hours. I know GS1 loves coming to see you, and DD will have a chance to relax a bit. xx

Oma, well done on getting your week-end blitz done. No excuse now, you can relax and enjoy the rest of the day. How are you sleeping at the moment? Is the water pressure sorted out?

Glamm, did you get your big shop done at Aldi yesterday? I can understand you not wanting to drive there! When we were staying in the caravan OH tried to find a caravan parts place, and got hopelessly lost. I think it was down near Eastham, but he couldn't find it! The roads were worse than Spaghetti Junction! That's a good point about shopping for Christmas, with prices rising everywhere. Perhaps even I might get my act together a bit earlier!

It's time I got started today - I didn't wake up till gone 9 o'clock, and I must prep some dog food and get some washing in before cleaning the kitchen. What joy!

I have been to Zoetermeer to TKMaxx, I got lovely crew necked jumpers the other week and I love them so I went to see if there was another colour and there was! So soft and comfy, if my neck is warm I am!

I am annoyed! I bought a really good chain lock for my bikes, we need them here, I don't use it often, usually on my "old" bike at the pool, I tried to use it in town and the key wouldn't move, I can only think that someone has been trying to open it, it can only be at the pool with my "old" bike, nothing is safe!

We have Storm for the evening . He's sitting in the garden watching the fireworks 😁
