    Morning ladies

    Plant
I hope you slept well and are recovered from your busy weekend ,
Even just looking around makes you weary , seems strange saying H wanted to walk doesn’t seem possible she’s that age already 😁

GS and his girlfriend sent lots of pictures of their hotel room last night ,
When they got there the hotel upgraded their room and had a bottle of champagne waiting for them with a note congratulating him on his 18th , how nice was that ,
Lucy and DD had a facial while GS & SIL went and played Golf .
Back to reality today and work and College although later start than usual .

Storm has had his toast he’s now in the garden sniffing out the cats next door
once he goes home I need to wash the floors then go to shops .

    Havea good day ladies xx

Good Monday morning everyone. I wonder what this week will bring.

Plant, I think you need a quiet day today after your day at the Agricultural Show. They're fun, but very tiring. It sort of hits you afterwards, doesn't it. How lovely that Baby H wanted to walk so much.

Nanto, I'm ready for that reviving cup of coffee! Nice to have a day off cooking.

Oma, I bet Storm is enjoying his time with you as much as GS1 and family have enjoyed their week-end! Doesn't it seem strange thinking of your GS as an adult now? I still haven't got used to it with our GS1, and GS2 will be 18 in January.

      Gem, how was your mum?

The sun's just come out here, I'll just see if I can blow part of it over to Plant and WG.

The washer's on, and there are a couple of loads waiting for their turn, but I'm keen to get it done while the weather is good.

        Good morning everyone.

Just a quick check in as DD3 due any time.

I may not be on here much before Tuesday evening as I will be looking after baby E. DD has a hospital appointment at 12 so I will be driving here there.

        Have a good day ladies.

Good morning, sunny and warm, GD2 is going with the school camp today, rain was forecast most days, I have just had a look and now there is a chance of rain on Wednesday so they are lucky.

I have just been to the Synrgy circuit, that makes me sweat! Pool later on.

Oma, the hotel sounds very nice for GS1, I bet they all had a good time.

Gem, you will be busy with your little visitor.xxxxx

Plant, walking round a show ground tires everyone out.

I cleaned my car windows inside yesterday, I will get the outside done this week, I was thinking of getting rid of it, but, it is handy when I do need it.

I called in at DS1 on Saturday but didn't see the girls, one was working and the other was at a birthday party.

I had a Lidl box yesterday with some lovely veg in, I am making soup from the broccoli stem. I like soup for lunch before swimming, otherwise I feel bloated!

I had a very quiet day, well started well, I decided to chop all the long branches off the huge climbing rose as they were almost coming indoors. Sil appeared in the garden with H, apparently her mother was poorly and her father wanted to go and see his very poorly mother so Sil stepped in, DD was in London. He took over the pruning and I looked after H, she is here there and everywhere now. GS1 was at home with his two so Sil took H around there to play with her cousins.

Gemini, enjoy your time with the babe and DD, I am sure DD will be pleased to have your help and her OH will get some rest.

Nanto enjoy your free day, cottage pie sounds good.

Oma, that sounded like a lovely birthday treat for your GS. Hope Storm had a good time too.

Must get showered and dressed, fridge need replenishing so I am off to Waitrose when I am showered and dressed.

Daisy, you must have blown hard, we have sun, not sure if it going to stay.

Gem, I hope you are enjoying your day with baby E. I'm sure he's loving all the cuddles as much as you are. How did DD3 get on at the hospital? Did S enjoy the golf trip?

Lizzie, I know what you mean about keeping or selling your car. We both have a car and in theory we should only need one between us, but it would be all right until it wasn't, if you see what I mean. We both like having the freedom to come and go as we please and for most of our journeys there is no public transport we could use. Just looking round our cul de sac everybody has at least 2 cars, more if they have 'children' of driving age at home. Also I'm sure there are days when the weather's awful, and you really wouldn't want to be riding a bike.

Plant, I'm so glad the sun reached you ok! I blew as hard as I could. Is your fridge now stocked with lots of goodies?

Nanto, it sounds like a good day, and always better when there are cakes.

I got lots done today. Five loads of washing, including a duvet, a bit of ironing, hoovered right through, portioned up dog food, made a few phone calls, booked a hair appointment for Friday, swept the patio, did a bit of gardening and even found a few minutes to sit out and enjoy the sun. I should sleep well tonight!

Dinner is bacon, sausage, roasted boiled potatoes, mushrooms and baked beans.
I buy a bag of baby potatoes, boil them, then put them in the freezer.

                    Morning Nanto/ ladies

                    Nanto
My MIL calls that a farmers breakfast if it comes with potatoes ,
I didn’t know what a farmers breakfast was when she went on about it till I asked and she said when she was a girl they put roasted potatoes with the breakfast 😁

Its sunny here but a nip in the air .

                    Gem
I hope your night with the baby went well and your DD got a good nights sleep
it will do her good .

                    Lizzie
you may regret getting rid of the car in the bad weather , may be best to really think hard about it .

                    Plant
Did you get to Waitrose? We don’t have any up here

                    Daisy
All that washing means lots of ironing 😁
Are you sorted for your trip away ?

We have man coming to service the Stair lift this morning,
Not long ago it was done so no idea why they coming again so soon but can’t refuse them as it would invalidate the insurance.

GS turned up for tea last night he wasn’t supposed to come till Wednesday this week as we were going out for tea with his other Grandparents but they had to cancel at last minute ,
Just as well they did ,
Had to rustle up food for him , he was happy to wait till it was done , left with a full stomach .

Hes coming for lunch tomorrow as he finishes college early

I will pop back to see how everyone is later xx

Good morning, Oma, my car can stay! I have always been to the dealer for service etc, after talking to others I have decided to go to another garage, it is 11 years old now and if I were to sell it the "dealer service' wouldn't be worth much. I have a insurance where I buy 1000kms in, it is very good, DIL1 has it and was saying how much she saves each year, M next door has got it as well now as she doesn't drive much.

I have just cleaned windows outside, they were so dirty, we hardly ever get rain on the windows, well, we haven't had any rain, but the dust does settle on them, they shine now and the balcony is clean.

Nanto, your meals always seem so planned, me, I have to decide what I am having today, in fact, I enjoyed the chicken leg last week so I think I will go and get one today.

Oma, your GS will be pleased that he can always eat at yours.xxx I once went to Waitrose in Hull with my sister, it could have Anlaby but it was that area.

Daisy, you will be busy ironing!

I want to go for a bike ride now that my windows are clean, I want to do the kitchen tops then it will all be clean and I won't be thinking of doing it all after the operation.

Good Tuesday morning everyone. Eva didn't want to go in the garden this morning, and I warned her it would rain and she'd then have to go out and get wet! She was lucky the electrician came - he makes a huge fuss of her and she loves him - and she went out the front with him and helped with the moisturising of the grass verge! It's forecast rain all day and all night. I really can't complain after saying how much we needed rain a couple of weeks ago.

Both GDs have got colds, and DIL2 has had to go and collect GD1 from school as she's been sick. Oh dear. I hope she's ok. I was going to go into the shop to get a couple of photos printed to take up to relatives in North Wales, but I'll wait till tomorrow now.

The electrician is trying to find out if we've got a 32 amp feed for an electric cooker. If we haven't we need to get it put in before the carpets go down, so we don't have to take them up again to get under floorboards. I've decided to keep the gas hob, but get an electric double oven, but I want white to match the rest of the kitchen and there's not much choice - they all seem to be black or stainless steel.

Definitely no gardening today - but the ironing pile is growing ever bigger. Boo hoo.

Oma, your GS1 loves your cooking, doesn't he. They have hollow legs at that age! I hope the stair lift is ok. Better to have it serviced more often than less.

OH is doing a few jobs on the caravan before we go away. He's putting a new jockey wheel on as we weren't very happy with the one we got after the last one broke. Last night he said he'd clean the outside, then I reminded him we can't use the hosepipe, so I think he's gone off the idea. We've got quite a lot to do before we go, because of getting ready for the carpet fitter when we come back. We want to get some junk down from the loft - better to have all the muck on the old carpet than the new!

Nanto, a perfect dinner for a chilly wet day. Proper comfort food - enjoy.

Gem, I hope you got some sleep last night. Enjoy all today's cuddles. xx

Good Morning ladies and thank you for the beautiful card sent for my birthday today how fast this past year has gone for me.
I was expecting and hoping to spend the day with my friend from Liverpool & my DD but both of them have come down with the dreaded Covid and both have it really badly so I will be spending the day on my own as I only saw DD last Thursday so I am isolating myself just in case I have picked anything up,I rang my surgery about the 2nd booster but they are not giving it to under 75's as yet maybe in the next couple of weeks, the virus seems to be raging here again for some reason.

Oma your DGS sounds like my middle 2 boys they drop in on way home for feeding and whilst here will get any washing done whilst they eat saves them doing it when they get home both of them have an aversion to the washing machine at home and always wait until the last minute to do their washing.

Plant I do wish we had a Waitrose near me the nearest is in Chester so anything I want from them has to come via Ocardo delivery we do have a M&S food store not to far away where I can buy some special goodies, I am partial to their fruit scones and boxed cream cakes for special occasions I also treat myself to their flowers as they last really well. In fact I may drive over later this afternoon and treat myself to something special for tea-time.

Thanks again for the card and good wishes will catch up soon xxx glamma

Lizzie, we posted together. Yes, definitely a good idea to get jobs done before your op, then you can relax and recuperate properly without fretting about household jobs. A good decision to keep your car. It gets to a point where you'd get very little for it and if it's running ok you might as well hang on to it. It's lovely to have sparkling clean windows, isn't it.

Gemini, I hope you had a good night with the little one and that your DD had a good sleep.

Oma, How lovely to see your GS often, he knows where to go for a lovely meal. Is he enjoying college?

I have a pan full of apple and blackberry, I intend to make some crumbles for a McMillan coffee morning I am going to, they will have to go in the freezer until next week. I am ashamed to say the blackberries are from a neglected part of the garden. It is our Trefoil (ex Girl Guides-and Guiders) this afternoon, I am picking up a friend. Hasn’t the television coverage been wonderful of the journey The late Queen’s coffin has been making, I feel that she intended to die in Scotland. It is lovely that the Scottish people have been able to say goodbye to her. I wonder if they call a referendum what the vote will say. Not keen on Nicola Stugeon.

Gosh Daisy you have been busy, tired but very pleased with yourself getting all those jobs done. I suppose the cooler weather doesn’t make one so tired.

Glamm, we posted together as well. What a pity you can't meet up with your friend and DD, but much better to be safe than sorry. I hope they are both soon better, and it's not a new, more serious strain of Covid. It must be nice having an M&S food store so close. Yes, you should definitely treat yourself for something nice for your birthday. Have a nice day, even if it isn't turning out the way you'd planned. xxx
