Answered the door this morning to find three young men standing there. Turns out they had come to erect the scaffolding for the fitters to instal the solar panels tomorrow. I'd expected it all to be done tomorrow. Just as well I was up and dressed! Scaffolding all down side of house until they come back to take it all down!

Got the housework and ironing done and out of the way. Spent an hour on the phone trying to sort something out, think it's sorted!!!SiL came round to help deflate hot tub and get it ready to be put away. It's now semi-deflated in the shed, if we ever get some dry weather I'll put it out in the fresh air to dry before it gets fully deflated and put in its box for the winter.

Going to have an early night as I've no idea what time the fitters will be here tomorrow.....but knowing my luck, it'll be early. I'll need to move my car so they can park in front of the house so I hope it's not raining again in the morning.

DD sent a picture of doggo hiding under her desk to get away from the fireworks last night. She said he was in a terrible state but at least he didn't jump out of the bathroom window this time. There seemed to be a lot of fireworks round here last night.

    Sleep tight ladies xx

WeeGranny, there are worse starts to the day than finding three young men on your doorstep. You have certainly been a busy bee today. It must be quite a job to deflate a hot tub! Poor doggo, he must have been terrified. We've got a thunder shirt for Eva and that seems to help her more than anything, but she's still shaking and panting, just not quite so hard. Let's hope that's the last of the fireworks for now!

Off to climb the bed mountain now!

Good morning everyone. Just a quick 'hello' before I go and collect Cooper for his play date with Eva. Rain forecast all day, so I think I will be busy drying 8 paws at regular intervals.

        I'll pop back later.

            Good morning ladies,

WG, I don't know if you watch Coronation St, but I hope your scaffolding is down sooner than that on there!

            Happy dog day Daisy.

It rained heavily here most of the night.
My friend T (ex neighbour and ex reflexology client) is coming for lunch. I will pick him up, then drop him home on my way to collect GS1 from school. The school is conveniently just down the road from T.

            Have a good day everyone.

              Morning ladies
well we were up with the larks all done and dusted waiting for Man to come and fit the Car charger point .
Well he came and went .🙄

Looked at our drive said he couldn’t take our block paving up he didn’t have the tools and in any case the cables wouldn’t go that way as we have a small brick wall and he would have to drill through that to get the cables through to go around the house to the meter box .

The cables will have to go up by the guttering over the pitched porch roof and down to the box that way .
It would have to be a two man job as he isn’t allowed to climb a ladder alone ,
For goodness sake B could have held the ladder for him .
Anyway has to be re scheduled .

Then theChemist delivered our tablets , looked and they were someone else’s , rang them they will collect them later and hopefully get ours out 🙈

So no Tablets , No Smart meter , No Electric car charger .
Oh and my phone charger broke this morning too .
I might just go back to bed

At least got GS for tea to look forward too 👍

Do you feel any relief yet from your massage , did you sleep better last night ?
Have a nice afternoon with T , Hope C isn’t in too much pain today xx

              Daisy
Eva will be excited to have Cooper to play with hope it’s not to wet and muddy all them pawsbringing it into the house .

              WG
Have the fitters turned up yet , When we got our solar panels in the scaffolding was up nearly two weeks they forgot about it till we rang them , the men were supposed to come the day after installing the panels .

Poor dog must have been terrified bless him .

WG, you certainly don’t let the grass grow under your feet, I am amazed at how much you are getting done to your new home. So sorry about doggo, and any other frightened animals.

Daisy, have fun with your two dogs, this wet weather just goes on and on.

Oma, you are not having much luck at the moment. I hope things are sorted soon. Fancy sending the wrong tablets, that is not good enough.

Gemini, enjoy your day with T. I hope you are feeling good after your massage.

I am supposed to be going to my ex Guiders meeting this afternoon, I pick up a handicapped friend. I don’t feel great, diverticulitis painful, I am going to phone her in a minute to see how she is. I must let my GD1 know I am going to give the funeral tomorrow a miss, too much standing around. DD and sil are going. I bought some pansies yesterday, hope to get those into pots between the showers.

Oh Plant hope it settles soon ,
Last thing you need to be doing is standing around in the cold , Im sure they will understand .

Well if nothing else we have found the reason for the low tap pressure ,
We got someone else to come out as we were not convinced it was the tank needing cleaning .
This one came out and instantly knew it was the tap cartridge had clogged up ,he had seen it several times before ,
The tap is the sort with a piece you can pull out to spray around the sink

So it’s either replace the cartridge or a new tap I have the cartridge filter in bicarbonate and vinegar at the moment see if can unblock it if not we will just buy a new tap as it’s just as expensive to buy the cartridge .

Well I've just found out that my panels are sitting on the M25 thanks to the protestors blocking the road ! To say I'm not a happy bunny is an understatement! There must be other ways of making feelings known rather than holding a country to ransom. Grrrr! Waiting for a new date now.

Got to have specialist training to go up a ladder these days Oma! I remember the school caretaker had to go on a course to learn how to climb one properly. We couldn't hang anything from ceiling or up high until he was available to do it!

Wasn't too bad sorting out the hot tub for hibernation with SiL helping! It is now drying out in the shed before I have to completely deflate it and then get it back in its box.

Gem, I don't watch Coronation Street, but this scaffolding seems to be immoveable!!!

I thought they just put a special outside plug on the wall when you were having an electric car charger point done. Our previous neighbour had his in the garage. Nothing is simple or easy these days is it?

Got most of what I needed doing done early, so I have a reasonably free afternoon. Think I may get the paints out for a change!

Plant, hope you soon feel better. Probably best if you stay at home and take it easy.

enjoy the rest of the day ladies x

Plant, I'm sorry you're feeling under the weather. I know diverticulitis is very painful, so you do need to take care of yourself. I think you're wise not to go to the funeral tomorrow. Your GD1's OH will understand, I'm sure.

Oma, what a faff to get a charging point! Thank goodness you've found out the problem with the low water pressure.

Training to climb a ladder! Oh dear, I've probably been doing it wrong all these years. I thought you propped it up safely and put one foot on rung one, the other foot on rung 2, etc.

WeeGranny, I totally agree about the M25 protesters. How dare they think it's ok to cause such a public nuisance. My DS1 is currently having 10 days of radiotherapy treatments, and if he's late/held up it disrupts the hospital's very busy schedules. To say nothing of causing extra anxiety for DS and his wife. I hope you get a new date soon. As you say, nothing is simple or straightforward these days, except perhaps your hot tub. I'm impressed it's even doable. Enjoy your painting this afternoon. x

Gem, I'm sure T will love coming to lunch with you. Have a lovely time.

The dogs are being very good, although Cooper is glued to OH's side as he's preparing some cooking apples for the freezer and Cooper would sell his soul for just a small piece.

Gem, hope T has a lovely time with you.

Plant, hope you feel better soon.

WG, the protesters are a nuisance.

Hallo everyone, I had an early visit to the dentist this morning, it is my own dentist but in a new clinic, just a few minutes up the road from me. Then I went to the physio, he did a scan of my leg, it is bruised where I fell but he couldn't see anything with the scan. I didn't go for that really, I went as I had that dry needling a fortnight ago in my muscle and he wanted to know if it had helped, it has as well.

I can understand the protesters being a nuisance, I heard on the radio this morning of all the problems on the M25.

Plant, I hope you are feeling better, don't overdo it until you feel better.xxx

WG, I hope you get the hot tub folded away.

Oma, what a carry on to get the meter etc.

The friend from the pool has to go under the scan tomorrow, she had lung cancer, twice, the first time 11 years ago and the second 5 years ago, she now has to go for the scan every 6 months.

I have just "tried" to start a new post, I am not sure if it has worked!

GD1 phoned yesterday to ask if she could come tomorrow, I have just messaged her to ask if I have to pick her up or if she is coming on her bike.

These stupid people are doing no good ,
                            They are just antagonising people.
People have no sympathy with them and the government will not bow to blackmail ,
They are doing more harm for the cause .

Hope it doesn’t distrust your DSs treatment ,
If it was legal to do so I would gladly go and drag them off wherever they put themselves 😡

GS just gone home , phoned this morning could he come for tea and could he have roast duck with pancakes ,
Of course he got what he asked for 😁.

We had a walk to DS1 house about 5ish.
At first we were going to go in the car,but decided to walk for a bit of exercise.
Its only a 10 minute walk.

Lizzie, it's good to hear that the dry needling has helped and that the scan of your leg was ok. Is your GD1 coming for lunch tomorrow?

Oma, DS1 had to wait quite a while for his treatment today. He got to the hospital in good time but he thinks there must have been delays earlier in the day with people getting caught up in the road blocks. Personally, I'd be tempted to make it much harder to climb up on the overhead structures - greasy coatings on the uprights, non-drying paint etc. Instead of prison sentences I'd set them to work litter picking or something useful like that. There are plenty of ways to get your message out there without causing so much trouble for people.

Nanto - it sounds as though the weather wasn't too bad, choosing to walk to DS1's.

We had some torrential rain today and there's a lot of standing water on the roads.
