Lizzie, if people obey the rules not to feed them they will hunt for their food, their eyesight s so good they can spot a mouse in a field. They were introduced to the Chilterns many years ago but being a well populated area, they are being fed by stupid people who like to see them swoop into their gardens for the food. The only bird that can drive them off is a crow, they fly underneath them and upset the thermals they need. We were sitting in the garden last evening and there were three flying over the bungalow, fortunately we were not eating. Sil is going to buy a decoy to go on the terrace to keep them away as we are worried about the little ones.

Good sunny Monday morning, everyone.
Nanto, thank you for the nice cheery graphic to start the 'working' week. Lunch sounds lovely - don't be surprised if there's a queue at your front door.
Oma, good luck with your MOT. It will be interesting to see what the diabetic nurse says about those tablets! I wouldn't be taking them again either!!
Plant, my DIL1's father and his wife lived at that time very close to where they started to release the red kites and they were a magnificent sight. What a pity they're rapidly becoming a danger. Silly people feeding them. Perhaps we need more crows to drive them back into the countryside.
Lizzie, that sounds like a busy morning.
Gem, it's always lovely to have the chance for extra cuddles, but I'm glad you can manage your lunch out as well.
I've had an early start - OH's car had to go into the garage for something or other (that's the technical term!) and I went to pick him up from the garage. I'm meeting some neighbours for a coffee in the village in a few minutes, so need to get my hair dried and get organised. I'll pop back later."Joy is what happens to us when we allow ourselves to recognise how good things really are. "

Well went to have my MOT nurse said waste of appointment as I had it all done at the hospital so it was all on the computer .
I then went to seethe Diabetic nurse , she was shocked said she had heard of it but hadn’t had a patient that it effected that way ,
She was going to report it to the Manufacturer.
Anyway I’m now on Insulin injections twice a day, said maybe in hindsight she should have put me on it in the first place .

Free days never work out that way do they 😁
Daisy
Enjoy your coffee morning xx

Pity there isn’t more crows around , people just don’t listen to advice do they , I understand wanting to see them in the garden but not at the danger of other people .
Nanto

Oma, perhaps the twice daily insulin will make you feel even better - you'll be running round like a spring chicken and have your housework done before the day has even started. I'm glad the nurse took it seriously about those tablets. The manufacturers don't know about reactions to meds unless they are reported, and I think the number of adverse reactions they hear bout means they amend their instructions to doctors and patients. I hope you are remembering the good times with your Mum, even though these anniversaries are always sad. xx
Well my day didn't turn out as planned! We went to a nearby hotel for coffee this morning, and sat in the garden chatting. Before we knew it it was 2 o'clock! When I got home OH was out in my car. He rang about an hour later saying there were all sorts of lights lit up on the dashboard and it had gone into "limp" mode. We rang the same garage that was repairing his and took it in. They think it's a broken parking sensor. The part won't arrive until tomorrow afternoon though and OH has an eye appointment tomorrow lunch time. The roads to the hospital are gridlocked because of road works and I really don't fancy having to drive OH's car in all that chaos. I don't mind the size of it (much bigger than mine) but it's automatic and the thought of being in stop-start traffic with it leaves me shaking! I feel a wuss though.

Good evening, another hot day here today. And another lazy day for me, apart from popping to the shops this morning.
Oma, hope you feel better on the insulin. You might find it controls your blood sugar better which in turn will help how you are feeling.
im still waiting to hear from the hospital about my appointment to get my little problem sorted. I will be so glad to get it done, the symptoms are not nice(won’t go into details here) so the sooner the better, it’s only been 3 weeks but seems like ages.
Good luck with your journey to the hospital tomorrow Daisy. Everywhere you go round here the roads are so busy, so much going on. I don’t go far these days, it’s all so stressful. Hope DHs appointment goes well.

Good evening.
Oma, will you have any problems doing your injections?
Mmm Nan2, rhubarb crumble and custard! Our rhubarb is ready, I must make one.
Aww, you're not a wuss Daisy! I'm sorry you have to do that drive in OH's car and hope that journey goes smoothly for you.
Lizzie, you are always making coffee for someone it seems
Enfys I hope you get that appointment soon.
Busy day here with DD working from here, OH and I looking after the baby and me going out for lunch.
Good news today was my mum's money has been paid into my account with no need for grant of probate. As executor I just need to distribute it. I have written about this on YEO!

I will be fine with the injections luckily things like that don’t bother me , Im lucky as I know lots of people have a phobia of needles my SIL does he passes out .
Good your Mums money is sorted without any hassle you went through enough when you were selling the house didn’t you xx
Daisy
my DD won’t drive our automatic and she’s a very confident driver , she can’t get away with it and actually Automatic cars in stop start traffic are easier to drive I think ,
Well I thought so when I drove ,
Everywhere has road works at the minute doesn’t it .
Good luck I’m sure you will be fine xx
Enfys
Waiting for appointments are the hardest thing .
B is on meds for something similar , let’s say if he doesn’t take them we can’t be far from a toilet .
It went on for almost a year with various tests and examinations before the final diagnosis,
. I hope you get seen to soon xx
Not a good night sleep wise I’ve been awake since 2 , had a cup of tea and a flick through the telly ,
pottered around and still no sign of getting back to bed yet 🙄

Going to Dalton park this morning I want to look at the dresses in Roman ,
I have seen a couple on line but I don’t want to order them as if they no good the postage to return them is silly ,
If you take them back to the shop they don’t refund your money it goes on a card when you buy online .Money only refunded if you buy in store .
Ive bought lots of tops online as I know the fit but dresses are a different matter
I want to look in Pavers for sandals too ,
I just know I will come back empty handed
Have a good day ladies xxxIm not fat just 6ft too small

Oma, Good luck with search for dresses, I have never heard of a company no refunding money for a returned item, how do they do any business.
Gemini, pleased to hear there has not been a hold up with the money transfer of the money going into your account. Is that everything finally settled?
Daisy, I am sure you will be fine driving the automatic in traffic holdups, it is much easier with all the stop starts
Enfys, I hope you will not have to wait too long for your appointment.
Nanto, cloudy here, I hope it is fine for your gardening. I like cold chicken and chips with a bit of mayo.
I am shopping for food this morning and this afternoon, I am going to a friends for a cuppa, they are a jolly lot.
What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare

Good morning, another sunny morning here. Just getting ready to go to my knit and natter group then I’ll pop into DDs on my way home. No plans for this afternoon, will just go with the flow.
Oma,, I ordered a dress from M & s, something I never do, but it arrived yesterday and I’m really pleased with it. At least if I’d had to return it I could just have popped into our local store which would have been easy. good luck with your shopping.
Have a good day everyone.
