Good sunny Sunday morning, Nanto and all who drop in later. The birds in our garden are getting through seed like wildfire at the moment. Lots of juveniles and also adults still rearing chicks. I found a dead blue tit on the patio a couple of days ago - it was fully fledged and looked absolutely perfect so I wonder if it fell out of the nest which was just above. It's always sad when that happens, isn't it. I'm topping the feeders up twice a day - OH says they're better fed than he is!
It's another lovely warm day and that cold wind seems to have dropped. DS2 gave me some tomato plants so I must get them planted in the troughs today, so apart from changing the bedding and walking Eva when it's cooler tonight that's it for the day!

Good morning Lizzie, Nan2 and ladies.
I'm so glad your birthday celebrations went so well Daisy. We may still be celebrating by raising a glass to you when we all meet up though, so don't say it's over
We had a lovely evening at DD2's, but we were glad of our fleece jackets later! GD modelled for us her costumes for an upcoming dance show, which was fun.
No plans today. we will see what the day brings.“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Morning ladies
Daisy
You have had a wonderful week but busy , a quiet day is on the cards xx
DD thinks they have had a offer accepted on a flat but won’t know till maybe tomorrow.
Gem
Got the news letter thank you 😁
Is GD playing any part in particular or is it just the dance group together ?
Lizzie
Its nice to reminisce with old friends and remember things you haven’t thought of for years isn’t it x
Glamm
Good news about Jim but so sad for your Scottish friends .
I got a email about the sale in Dunelm I’m going to browse today 😁
Nanto
I have done a dark wash this morning dried it in the tumble as it’s very overcast here and I have just ironed it all ,so that’s out of the way already 😁
We had a wonderful time at Finley’s party yesterday ,
The weather was glorious all day ,
Martin has a huge BBQ so it was none stop on that and finger food , about 30 people there with little ones ,
The garden was full of toys with a big gazebo for the little ones too Play under , not one grumpy or crying child all day .
Fin had a lovely time , didn’t understand what all the fuss was about but enjoyed playing with everyone .
MIL for once was good as gold , she did go around telling anyone that would listen ( or didn’t have a choice in the matter 😁)
All about her Hospital stay and her tablets , but apart from that she was no bother .
She was shattered by time we got home at 8 ,
Its almost a hours drive from Martins and we were there from about 2ish so it was a long day for her .
We got in about 8.30 had a cupper and just sat staring at the TV to tired to actually take notice .
I was in bed for 10.30 and slept well .
Its not a nice morning very overcast but supposed to get better as the day progresses,
Nothing planned so see what happens .
Im not fat just 6ft too small

Aww, what a lovely day for Finley OmaAs you say he wouldn't know the reason for it, but would have loved it all.
Nan2's GGS and my GS3 will be having theirs soon. It seems no time since we were awaiting the arrival of three babies“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

It doesn’t seem possible that those babies are now a year or nearly.
Oma, that sounds a lovely family get-together for Finlay’s birthday. Pleased Mil enjoyed herself.
Daisy, the birds are eating me out of house and home but they were singing beautifully this morning. Not sure if the blue tits are flying yet, the nest box is covered with plants now.
Sil had quite a frightening incident a few days ago. He was sitting on their terrace eating an apple and a red kite flew down and tried to peck it out of his hand. He was going to speak to the family behind us to ask them to stop feeding them. Harriet was also on the terrace eating an apple so it could have attacked her. They are huge close up and they actually cast a shadow when they fly over the house. They will have to keep the children under cover when they are eating in the garden. They are a real pest because people are feeding them them, barbecues are very much a target.
Gemini, thank-you for the newsletter. What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare

Oma ,a lovely happy picture of a lovely baby boyI love the way you and B are looking at him!
Plant, how frightening especially as you say with small children about.
Well its been a busy day.
This morning was sad but needed to be done. we sorted through mum's things from the care home which we had put into the garage. I ended up with a big pile of clothes to run through the wash before taking to a charity shop, some other stuff for charity, some to throw away, some to put aside for DDs to look though. I washed the first batch of washing this afternoon.
That was all a bit depressing so we then went to the locks we love few miles away, for a short walk and late lunch in the cafe there.“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Oma, what a gorgeous little boy Fin is. He certainly looks as though he's enjoying his first birthday and all the fuss he's getting. It is hard to believe our trio of Babies of 2022 are hitting their first birthdays. Glad MIL was on good behaviour.
Gem, what a sad task, but I'm so glad you went out to do something nice afterwards. Your Mum would have approved of the cakes. xx
Plant, it doesn't seem 5 minutes since Red Kites were on the endangered list, but it looks as though they've been too successfully reintroduced. They are huge, and could end up being more of a pest than seagulls!
I'm not sure where today's gone. We got the troughs ready but it was very hot so I didn't plant the tomatoes. I'll try and do it tomorrow evening.

Good morning everyone.
Good luck with all that Oma . At least you get it all over this morning.
Daisy, I have days like that when I can't see where the days have gone!
I hope you all enjoy the roast Nan2.
Today was to be a free day apart from meeting my friend M for lunch. DD3 has some extra work though so I will now be looking after the baby and popping out for lunch too! DD will probably work from here and OH is free so between them he is covered when I'm not here!“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown
