It's cold where you are Daisy! We had minus temperatures a few days ago but they have risen a bit now. It was 2C when I went out this morning and 5C with sun when I drove home.

Well done Oma. Have a rest now!

I hope all goes well at the hospital Plant.

Aqua was good. My friend didn't get a place so I came straight home afterwards.
The greeting from the baby always makes it worth coming home for

Oma I have that toaster SNAP.
I love nut meg on the top of rice pudding I always sprinkle a wee bit over when I make one for Jim on Sundays.
I'm feeling brighter by the day I think those high dosage vitD capsules might be working I've been for more blood tests to see if the capsules are having any affect hopefully will get the results tomorrow and guess what I have finally got a face to face appointment with my own Dr,on 22nd March re my ongoing back pain and possible MRI scan so fingers crossed for that.

New baby due 14th Feb he may be arriving by CSection as he is laying across mummy's tum instead of head down no3 DGS is just a bunch of nerves !!! he asked me what shall he talk to him about he is such a softy and wants to do everything right, his brother told him to talk to him about Liverpool Football team and start him off the right way we all laughed.
I now have a box full of 1st sized stuff for him along with lots of toiletries DD has been on a shopping spree for mattinee jackets and has picked up some beautiful hand made ones at the Womens Hospital charity table for ICU all made by hand by the supporters of the charity just lovely little jackets.

Must get on with housework got to do floors and windows today the sun has gone down so I can polish the windows without any glare on them also the glass tables which show every speck of dust where does it come from I ask.

Glam I always had glass tables but your just constantly cleaning them especially if you have a 5.1/2 stone Husky licking and biting them 🙄
          Im all wood now 😁
Not long now for baby , people used to ask why we didn’t name our DS Valentino being born on Valentine’s Day , He most definitely isn’t a Valentino😱 😁😁

Gem how lovely to come home to that adorable baby , lots of gummy kisses 😁

Well i am shattered , I finished the photos then tackled my Handbags and shoes ,
I really was ruthless with them although I did struggle with some of my shoes ,

A lot had heels I never will be able to walk in again but they were so pretty, A lovely Magenta pair with bling ,
And a beautiful Brown velvet pair with sparkles around the toe and heel .
They are all from when we were on cruises but I know I will never wear them again .

15 various sized Handbags and 9 pairs of shoes are going .

One good thing is I found a pair of Sketchers still in the box at the back and a pair of Oxblood loafers I forgot about .
I remember buying them but then just forgot I had them .

The photos have gone from under the bed to boxes on a shelf where we can get to them and see them easily .

I need my Halo polishing now 🤣🤣🤣
Im not fat just 6ft too small

Hallo every0ne, I have had a busy day, I had a really good Lidl box, I have shared it with my DIL1, I have just taken it all to her so she was very pleased, then, I have enough to last me for a week.

Oma, how on earth can you get rid of so many handbags?????? Plus the shoes, I still have 2 pairs of high heels, how on earth did I walk in them??? Now I have read about the photo's as well, you have been busy. I sorted photo albums out in the first lock down, I went from about 10 of them to the one! Why on earth did I take so many?

Glamm, I hope the vitamin D helps, is does help me, as my body hardly ever gets to see the sun I was prescribed it by the doctor years ago. I had to think what matinee jackets were, we never see them here.

Nanto, your garden must be like my balcony, lovely in the sun but oh dear when I have to go out the other way.

I am going to make veg etc in the oven, I am pleased the days are getting longer, I feel more like living now!

I have Vit D prescribed for my bones, recently the doctor called me in and reduced the dose as I was taking too much and apparently it can affect the memory. I now know why my memory isn’t good ! the hospital visit was just to see the wound where I had that poss. Cancer removed from the back of my hand. I had hoped they would sign me off but they want to keep an eye on me, he felt all my glands and said they will see me in 6 months.

Oma, well done with the sorting out of pic etc, I really must sort mine. I am not a shoe and handbag buyer, knitwear is my weakness.

Glamm, pleased you are feeling a bit better. How exciting, baby due any time, nothing nicer than a new baby to cheer us up.

Gemini, Heavy frost for us this morning but the sun has been lovely.

Plant, it's good the hospital want to keep an eye on the back of your hand. A friend who had one removed from her leg a few years ago (before Covid) is still having regular check ups at the hospital. Always better safe than sorry. I didn't know too much Vit D can affect the memory.

Lizzie, you do well with your Lidl boxes, and I bet the family is always happy to share.

Oma, well done on sorting out your photos, your handbags and your shoes! What a productive morning, and now you have plenty of room to go shopping!! Some of those shoes sound beautiful, but if you're not going to wear them you may as well let them go to a good home somewhere.

Glamm, I bet Jim looks forward to his rice pudding. I'm going to make one tomorrow - I meant to do it today but ran out of time. I'm going to use full-cream milk for a change - I usually use semi-skimmed. Nutmeg will be compulsory, of course. I'm so pleased to hear you are feeling better, and good luck with the blood test results tomorrow. Exciting times with your GS3's baby due so soon. I'm sure your GS, who sounds a lovely caring man, will have no trouble finding things to say to his baby. I think he's going to be the best-dressed baby on Merseyside - those matinee jackets sound adorable.

Gem, at least coming straight home from aqua gave you more time for baby kisses and cuddles. Hopefully no-one has gone down with Covid.

OH did his Wickes etc shopping this morning and took my dirty car to the drive through car wash. It looks so much better, but I will have to clean the inside, especially the back windows where Cooper creates licky patterns on them! While OH was out I ran the sucky up thing round the house and dusted and polished our bedroom. Eva had a great time at training class - and of course had lots of treats. It took me ages to get home though, with a traffic jam in the next village where the lights were only letting two or three cars through at a time, and road works in our village. I spent quite a long time behind a car that was so dirty, I literally couldn't read the number plate even at close quarters.

A cold but sunny start to the day.

Plant, its good that the hospital are keeping checks on you.
I didn't know that too much vitD could afect the memory.

Oma, well done for sorting the photos out. The thought of doing ours makes me nervous.

Not sure what i'm doing today,so i think dinner will be a pizza. An easy cooking day.

                    Good morning everyone.

Plant, as Daisy says I think it's just procedure to be cautious and keep an eye on these things.

Lizzie. Oma can't resist handbags and is always buying them!

I had a nice Italian meal last night with my friends. OH and DD enjoyed their takeaway.

DD3 still feeling coldy and baby still having some loose nappies, but DD tested negative for covid. GS got a 3rd tooth yesterday so that may be something to do with his contrition. He's feeding well and happy anyway.
He is sitting in bed between us now giving mummy a rest. Hairdresser coming for OH and me at 9.30, a free day for me otherwise.
                    Bye for now!

Gemini, how that time has flown, I can’t believe GS3 is cutting teeth and sitting up already.

Daisy, I think the whole of area is affected by road closures

Electrician just called in to look at a few problems I have, mainly the outside light which I really need. The hospital appt. .was a bit of a nightmare, no parking and very difficult to find the dept. I needed, it turned out to be the Spinal Injuries Dept, usual lack of parking. DS needed anger management not spinal injuries.

Well done Oma for sorting the photos, I might start on mine.

Good Thursday morning, everyone. No frost this morning, and it's supposed to be 6C, but it doesn't feel it with thick grey cloud.

Gem, I love Italian restaurants! Glad you enjoyed your meal, and I'm sure the company as well. Pleased that DD3 tested negative, and as you say, teething could be causing the loose nappies for GS3. If he's feeding and happy there can't be much wrong, bless him. Was it a top tooth? Enjoy your free day.

Nanto, I would really enjoy that breakfast tray in bed, while I'm all nice and cosy. Bliss. Do you have a favourite pizza?

I've got a load of darks in the wash, but I won't be able to dry them outside. I didn't have time to make the chicken casserole yesterday, so that's on today's menu, plus a rice pudding. I've got a bottle of full-cream milk which needs to be used up - it makes a lovely rice pud, with nutmeg, of course. No other plans at the moment.

Plant, our posts crossed. Yes, an outside light is important. Do you have a motion-activated one? We've recently had a new one at the front and we're still tinkering with the angle of it so it gives light in the right place! Why is hospital parking such a nightmare! No wonder your DS was frustrated, and as for obscure signposting, that's just as bad! I bet you were glad you weren't driving.

                            Another nice day,plenty of sunshine.

Just checked in with sis in law,to see how her hubby is.
She says he had the worse night so far. Pain in his arm and back.
They've done x-ray on his lungs and had him on oxygen, but they won't know the results till tomorrow.

                              Afternoon ladies ,
Ive had a busy day ,

First we popped into Sainsburys for MILs Cigarettes and a few bits then
Went to MILs ,shock horror she was bright as a button and all smiles . No grumbles no nastiness full of chat ,
It won’t last but it was a nice change 😁
We stayed longer than usual as it was nice to be able to just chat nicely ,
From there we went to Aldi , we have two both local as in 5 minutes from us ,
First one we went to all the cold fridges were broke so they were removing everything ,
So we decided to go to the other one .

Came home had lunch then went to our Shopping Mall ,
I wanted to go to Bon Marche for trousers but they only had Navy and Grey in my leg length and style ,
From there we went into the £1 shop they were asking for donations for Turkey so we did our bit ,
We then went to Asda for Oxo’s
Came home and realised we had bought everything but the Oxo’s 🙄.

                              Plant
Hospitals never have enough parking and it’s worse at visiting time ,
I never know if I’m going in the right direction in all those corridors signage can be confusing.
I can imagine what DS was like 😁

                              Gem
Our Finn is full of snuffles with his teething ,
Glad you enjoyed your meal , as you know I’m not a lover of Italian 🙄

                              Daisy
Did you get the casserole made ?
Webought a new pack of Pudding rice while we were shopping , talking about it makes you fancy it doesn’t it 😁

Hallo everyone, it has been cold again, the sun decided to vanish this afternoon.

Oma, you do get busy with the shopping for MIL, I don't think supermarkets sell cigarettes here now, most of them don't and I know they have to stop selling them.

Gem, I did wonder how Oma came to have so many handbags!

Plant, that sounded like a stressed visit to the hospital, then one I go to in Rotterdam is so big, we need a GPS to find our way round it! The nearer one where I took GD1 the other morning isn't as big though. DS1 was in IC there when he had an aneurysm a few years ago.

Gem, you mentioned the hairdresser, how is your hair now? Still falling out?
