        Morning ladies
I have tried to post this 3 times so fingers crossed this one works ,

B had a very restless night last night thrashing around and shouting , he had a temp so I think it’s came to a head,
He feels slightly better today .

With him being so restless I went in the spare bed but couldn’t sleep so I came down and watched TV till 5am then went back to bed till 7
        Im wrecked now .

GS1 is coming for breakfast , I was going to pop to shops when he went home but I don’t think I will bother now I’m too tired .

        Lizzie
Hope your feeling more yourself today .

        Gem
        Enjoy your baby cuddles

        Nanto
I love Jackets but only with butter or beans I don’t like cheese 😁
Im not fat just 6ft too small

            Good Monday morning, everyone.

Oma, I get that error message when our internet connection is even slower than usual. It seems to be the time lag between typing and the computer acting on it is too long and the text gets 'lost'. If that's what it it it may have been a satellite problem or weather interference. On Saturday it was so slow nothing worked here, GRU, email, FB, Google search - nothing in fact!

I'm sorry B has had such a bad night, but hopefully he's over the worst and will start to get better again. I hope you're going to take it easy today.

Gem, what a lovely family you have, so it's no wonder baby E is such a delight. That photo of all your GCs is fabulous. I would be thrilled if I'd taken that. I think any sport you don't play or actively watch isn't of great interest - not to me anyway! But we all have our different interests in life! Of course, I think baby talk is the perfect conversation topic.

Plant, you've had a bad time, and you're right, everything can wait. Concentrate on resting, and getting better.

Nanto, in our Post Office it depends who is on the counter. One lady is pleasant and chatty the other is quite curt and downbeat. Your three friends above look as though they're enjoying their chat!

Lizzie, I think our driving licences have to be renewed every 3 years after 70, but you just have to declare that you are fit to drive. I hope your renewal process goes smoothly. I wonder what caused you to feel sick yesterday. I hope you're ok now.

We had a lovely day yesterday with DS1 and family. We had torrential rain both going there and coming back, and went through a lot of floods, but not too much traffic, thank goodness. We didn't do much - sat and chatted, DIL's mum called in for a chat, both GSs put in appearances from time to time. After a conversation about "Granny bedding" GS2 has said he'll help me choose new bedding and curtains for my study which doubles as their room when they stay. He did admit the current bedding is ok - apart from a couple of black ink marks and yellow paint! DIL cooked a delicious dinner, as she always does. I've warned her we'll be moving in if she keeps on looking after us so well!

It's a slow start for us today with nothing specific planned. The road sweeper has just been round our estate. The wet leaves had got very slippery so it should be much safer now, and we've even got a bit of watery sunshine to cheer us all up.

Well, I have done all the form filling, payments etc regarding my license being renewed! The finished product will have to be paid for when it is all settled. I have an appointment for a medical in Delft on January 27th, I am pleased it is all sorted, we have so many check codes to go through to get on any official site.

Watery sunshine here too Daisy. Lovely to have a meal cooked for you. Your GS’s are getting to the age where the relationship changes, my GC see their role as helping me, not that you are my age.

Oma, poor Brian, perhaps he is over the worst but might take time to get his strength back. You take care too.

That is a gorgeous picture of your GC Gemini, worth printing. I am pleased my OH was not a golfer when I met him, he had given it up because it was taking over his life. His father played.

Nanto, I am regretting not having any large pots atm, I fancy one with cheese and beans.

Lizzie, I hope your application for your license goes smoothly, I hate forms.

Daisy, glad you had a lovely day yesterday.

We have had alternating rain and sun. Feels colder today.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

Nanto, it's gone colder now, even though the sun's still shining. The wind's bitter.

Plant, a jacket potato with beans and cheese is pure comfort food, isn't it. If you've got smaller potatoes you could boil or steam them and slightly crush them season, sprinkle (or smother) with cheese, pop them under the grill for a few minutes and they will be nearly as good as the real thing.

I love the age my GSs are - they are changing and growing up so quickly, one minute so adult and the next excited over a packet of jelly beans! GS1 already provides a lot of technical support and if my GSs are as loving to me as your GS3 (and I'm sure the others too) is to you I'll be a lucky granny!

Daisy, I feel fine today, I have no idea what it was yesterday. We have been to aqua, our instructor in on holiday this week so it was a lady that took his place, very good she was as well! Everyone enjoyed the change.

We get a full medical at 75 for our license and I think again at 80 as well, I have read the list and it is a full medical!

DS1 just phoned, I got the GD's tickets for the film in Rotterdam, they both had no school today so have gone into town to see a film. They were going to get something to eat before going home, grown up!!!

Nice afternoon for your GDs Lizzie.

Thanks for the nice comments on the photo everyone DD1 took it. I didn't even notice her taking to so it definitely wasn't posed, just a lucky snap!

It was nice weather today. DD, baby and I went for a walk. Tomorrow is forecast heavy rain. It has started to rain as I drove home, the start of the bad weather I think.
I had a nice lunch with DD and a lovely play with baby while she did some jobs. I gave him two bottles and changed his nappy too, so it wasn't just playing

The GP came out to mum this morning as she has a bit of husky voice and rattle on her chest. The home rang the surgery. They would normally just prescribe antibiotics over the phone but due to mum having that funny turn on Saturday she wanted to check her out. She said they had caught the chest infection early so fingers crossed the antibiotics will clear that. Her BP was a bit low so they have prescribed a smaller dose of her BP tablet. Otherwise she was OK and apparently very chatty with the Dr! I have a busy day tomorrow so as long as mum is OK I will go on Wednesday.

Gemini, sorry to hear your mum is poorly, I hope the tablets will see it off before it gets too bad. Sounds like you had a lovely time with DD and GS3, he looked very alert in the pic of all your GC.

I have been feeling so much better today, even tackled a few SMALL jobs. I had a lovely surprise this afternoon, I had a visit from WG, she had been to the village school to listen to readers. Had a lovely chat. Can any of you clever ladies arrange a Zoom meeting? that would be good.

Gem, it sounds as though the home are taking good care of your mum (and the other residents, of course) and also good that the doctor came out to check her in person. I hope the antibiotics work quickly for her. xx

What a lovely time you've had with baby E, and I'm sure he loved having Grandma to play with.

Plant, I'm so pleased to hear you're feeling a bit better, but hope those jobs were very small ones. How lovely of WeeGranny to visit. I hope she was ok - it sounds as though she's back in her routine after her trip to her DS's at Christmas. We did manage a Zoom meeting during a lockdown - but none of us were very sure what we were doing, and if I remember we couldn't make contact with WG on the actual occasion even though I'd been able to Zoom with her briefly beforehand.

Lizzie, so pleased to hear you're feeling ok now and back to your usual activities. Your GDs sound very sensible girls and lovely that they go out together sometimes.

I don't seem to have achieved much today apart from catching up with emails and phone calls. I felt cold and shivery all day - not ill, just cold, and I think I'm probably tired. Early night for me tonight.

Good morning all, I hope all our poorly ladies and their families are feeling much better today.

I have to admit myself and OH are feeling a little bit bored at the moment., I think it's a combination of dark rainy days and not being able to do much outside. I can see lots of daffodils peeping out through the soil in the planters and it makes me itching to be outside but it's far too cold and wet . Our bungalow doesn't take long to keep tidy each day especially as OH tackles the sitting room and bedroom and I am in charge of the kitchen and bathroom, it's 'every man for himself 'as to who gets to vacuum the porch, it's on a 'first come, first served ' basis
I do have a few books to read that I was given for Christmas so I could sit and relax with one of them but I still feel 'guilty ' of just sitting down instead of being productive with some sort of task or another. Even after several years of retirement I can't get used to having time to myself.

Has the constant rain caused any flooding problems where you are. Where we used to live it could get a little bit tricky to get into town but as we lived on top of a hill our property was never in any danger of being flooded.
As we now live the other side of the river getting into town is no longer a problem.

                                Have a good day everyone
Bring me sunshine in your smile.
