Well we have had an eventful 15 minutes or so ,
B spent ages making a Frangipani flan , put it in the oven half way through he decided to put some tin foil on the top to stop it getting too brown ,
opened oven door pulled tray out and the flan shot out of the oven and spread itself all over the floor , oven door and down Bs jeans .
All I heard was oh for F sake 😱😁

I knew instantly what had happened , went in the kitchen and there he was surrounded with half cooked mixture everywhere .

Took ages to scrape it up and then wash everything down , sticky mixture and hot jam can get in a awful lot of places ,
luckily we could have a good laugh about it .

We won’t be eating that then anytime soon πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Glad B wasn't hurt. Hot jam can be nasty.

Oma, that sounds like some evil little gremlin hiding in the oven and chucking the tart at B! Thank goodness he was ok, but I can imagine the mess.

Lizzie, Perhaps one of your GDs will go with you to the mall one day, and show you round while you do a bit of shopping. It's very satisfying splitting plants up and seeing them thrive. I've currently got 5 baby spider plants in little pots of water until the roots grow a bit bigger. What a relief that your eyes were clear.

Gem, you, OH, DD1 and GS got a lot done today. Brilliant. I hope DD gets her new bed soon. There's so much choice, isn't there. I hope you didn't get chilled outside after you cold. How was the reflexology?

Nanto, well done on getting your decorations down and packed away. Ours are still up!!

Plant, how are you dear? I hope you're feeling better.

I was hoping to take our decs down today, but DIL2 messaged me saying she needed to get the girls out in the fresh air, and the sun was still shining, so did I fancy taking them and the two dogs to the paddock. Well, of course I did - packing away decorations v. being out in the sunshine = no contest! The girls enjoyed playing on the swing, the dogs ran round like crazy and DIL and I strolled round, watching the world go by and having a chat. By the time I'd got home it was time for a late lunch, and then I fell asleep in a comfy chair! OH finally got the new outside light up by the utility room door. It seems to be working fine, thank goodness. They don't seem to last long.

By heck its a bitter cold wind this morning. Jack Frost paid a visit.

Not much happening today. Back to the usual kind of day.
A few windows to clean for starters.

            Hubby requested pizza for dinner.

Good morning, Oma, that was some accident, jam can get dangerous when it is hot! I bet it took some cleaning!

Canto and Daisy, where the mall is was my favourite shopping centre, not far from me, I used to go a lot on my bike, there was a fantastic material shop there years ago. Now it is all rebuilt and modern, I did go when it was half built, I may go one day and see what it is like.

Daisy, I love splitting plants and watching them thrive!!! The ones I did yesterday belonged to DS1 and DIL when they got their first house, almost 30 years ago, another I found a cutting on the path when pushing GD2 in the pram, we had just been for GD1 from school, we came home and put it in water, it is still producing! DIL2 went home with cuttings the other day, I often take them next door and she shares with her daughters.

You did right to get out in the good weather Daisy, we have showers today by the look of it.

                Morning ladies
                How are we all ,
                Plant
Are you any better will you do a shop today ?

                Daisy
I bet the girls enjoyed the paddock as much as the dogs plus a good old natter with DIL is better than taking decks down 😁
Weneed to change the bulb in our outside light it keeps flickering , you have reminded me 😁

                Gem
Out with the old in with the new for DD 😁
Do you feel better for your reflexology,

                Lizzie
I often go to the Metro centre it’s apparently the biggest shopping mall in Europe , I don’t like going it’s too big and my back and legs always hurt walking on hard marble floors
I rarely come back with anything so don’t know why we bother , it tends to be full of designer shops for young people not for us oldies 😁
Im not a lover of indoor plants but when we had the big garden and greenhouse I loved growing things especially from cuttings it’s like getting free stuff isn’t it and the satisfaction of knowing you kept them alive πŸ˜‚

                Nanto
We have had a hard frost too , it’s raining now ,

We have the men coming this morning to try fit the Car charger point , this will be the third attempt, hopefully it’s not cancelled again .
I was up early and I’m all sorted , did a dark wash and dry just needs ironing now ,

Have a good day ladies xxx

                  Good morning everyone.

Dramatic Oma! Thank goodness B wasn't hurt, but I can imagine the mess! The reflexology did me good yes. My reflexologist was poorly with flu all over Christmas so it was good to see her well again.

Daisy, fresh air with GC and dogs would always win over taking decs down I'm sure

Nice graphic Nan2, that bear is well wrapped up for the weather.

                  Showery today here too Lizzie.

An early start here as we took my car in for it's MOT. OH followed me and drove me home. She has now gone off to golf so I am home alone and carless! We hope she will be back in time to take me to collect GS1 from school then fingers crossed we can pick up my car on the way home.
I will start to take a few Christmas things down today, the trees will stay until 12th night.

Good Tuesday morning, everyone. It's still mild here - 10C on our garden thermometer - but very wet. It looks set in for a while!

Lizzie and Oma, I find big shopping malls very tiring as well. Everything seems to swirl round you and I find it visually overwhelming. I only go if I've got a particular reason. As for the floors - they're killers, aren they!

I used to have more indoor plants than I have now. Sometimes they seem to take over, needing watering, cleaning, repotting, dusting etc, etc. But it's nice to have a couple of 'easy' ones and if I'm given a plant I try very hard to keep it going.

Oma, I hope your car charger gets fitted this time round. Is B ok after being attacked by the frangipani tart?

Nanto, you sound very well organised, and back to normal after all the Christmas comings and goings.

We're glad OH did the outside light yesterday, and we are definitely going to take the decorations down today. It's far too wet to do anything outside, and Eva is still tired after yesterday's romp with Cooper!

I am reading all your posts but am still feeling rubbish. I now have very red sore eyes but not coughing so much. I am going to the chemists today to get something for my sore crusty eyes. We have a chemist in the village so not far for me to drive. Keep well.

Oma, I have been to the Metro centre a few times, I think the same as you, too big, we went to one down south once, I think in Kent, Bluewater or something it is called, I had to escape!

I took the plant to the centre, there was a huge plant that was annoying me, it really needed sorting out and the dead branches removed, 3 hours later I was very pleased with what I had done! I didn't go with the plan to start on it, that just happened. They all say how well the plants are looking now.

I hope your car passes the MOT Gem.

Daisy, it will be weather to get sorted indoors.
