Bathroom cleaning for me today, Trefoil Guides this afternoon. I am trying to get all my place clean as I am going away with the National Trust Group on Sat for 5 days. I like to come back to a clean house. I must go and check up on Sil to see how his wrist is. they were in France looking at a shared ownership of a large house in Normandy which they have agreed to buy when he had an argument with the harbour wall. His sister died last Friday, she was the eldest.

Daisy, I and I am sure you all do wish the medics could make your GD better.

Oma, I do hope the water heater gets repaired today, not that you mind sharing your shower with the family. what are you planning to buy at Ikea, not more napkins.

Good morning, I have been to the gym then straight onto the dentist, a friend lives close so I called for coffee, 2 hours later I arrived home!

Oma, your hall will look very nice when it is finished. Don't buy too much at Ikea!

Daisy, I do hope that your GD soon feels better, it isn't nice feeling ill at any age.xx

Gem, they will be old photo's!!!!!!!!

Plant, you do keep busy with GD and GGD.

Good Morning from a gloomy Chilterns! Light rain was forecast, but it's a pretty steady heavy drizzle now. Last night GS said : You want to take those cushions in Granny in case it rains! Needless to say, I didn't listen, but the cushions are waterproof, so they can stay there for the time being!

I had planned to get the bus to Great Missenden, but I think it'll have to be another day. Still can't drive for another 10 days or so. I'm beginning to miss driving.

Plant, my SiL says he's going to volunteer at Bekonscot when he retires! It's a lovely place to wander round. Enjoy your break. Are you going anywhere exciting?

Hope that the sun puts in appearance somewhere today! Hope GD1 is feeling able to a little bit of something today Daisy! xx

Believe you can and you're halfway there.

Plant I did buy napkins well I was there it would be rude not too 😂😂
I also bought more picture frames and new interior automatic lights for inside my wardrobe so they come on when doors open ,
I do have them in already but they are battery ones and it costs a fortune replacing the batteries all the time so B said electric ones are more practical .

We called in Asda first for some shopping then the Range for a mirror to put on landing to match my hall one ,
None in stock I will try another Range if they haven’t any in stock I will order online ,
          Then to IKEA ,
I haven’t walked so much for a few weeks being unwell and you can tell I’m worn out now .

Where are you going with your group Plant ? I do hope you get good weather xxx

I have to go for my scan at 9pm, a strange time, I am already worrying about it all.

Lizzie, it's natural to worry about these things.
The late time doesn't help either does it?!
I hope it all goes smoothly and is nothing to worry about xx

Oma, you will need a good rest now!

How lovely that you are going away for a few days Plant.

It must be strange not driving WG. You will appreciate it when you can again.

The librarian gave me chair today, so I was able to sit down whenever possible doing my jobs. My back still ached by the end of the morning, but it definitely helps to have a seat.
Time to think about going for GS, I will be back later!

Thanks Gem, no the time doesn't help! I want to go on the bike as it is much easier then in the car, so, I do hope it isn't too dark for me coming home.

I am going to Exeter with the National Trust Group from Sat to Thurs. WG, please phone me is you need to go somewhere, apart from next week of course. If you are interested in joining the NT group I will introduce you. They have monthly meetings with some good speakers and several outings a year and at least one holiday, usually two. You do not have to be a NT member.

                    Plant, hope you enjoy Exeter.

Been a quiet day for me.
Hubby has been busy since he came home after walking with his pal this morning.
We've put the new bench in place that hubby made.
He's potted up his tomato plants. Also mended a strimmer for one of the neighbours.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

Gem - I'm glad the sweet and sour was popular with your friends, and adding the extra fruit and ice cream as well as cream makes quite a luxurious pud. I hope your busy day today has gone well. How was the reflexology?

Oma - IKEA - lucky old B! I bet he was very happy. I'm so glad you got napkins. You never know when there will be a shortage. Are you pleased with the flooring? Did B paint the doors this afternoon? I sounds as though your energy levels aren't back to normal yet. I hope you've had a rest.

Plant - how lovely to be going away for a few days. Exeter sounds nice - and beautiful countryside around. I like to leave the house clean and tidy before we go away.

Weegranny - we had rain this morning, but it cleared up just after lunch and was quite sunny until tea time. Bit of a chilly wind, though. I bet you can't wait to be able to drive again - you've probably got lots of bits of shopping/browsing to do for your new home. Have you decided on decoration yet?

Lizzie - I do hope the scan went well, and you've got home safely. It is late for an appointment, isn't it. How long will you have to wait for the results?

Nanto - your OH never stops! I've planted out tomato plants out and will have to cover them if a frost is forecast. I potted DS2's on into 6" pots because he's not ready to plant them yet.

OH found me a nice sturdy box for the tomato plants to take to DS2 this morning and we wedged the box on the back seat and Eva as usual had the boot. Poor GD1 wasn't feeling great, but we had a very quiet time - just knitting and chatting. I think she was pleased to have the company, and the two dogs are always entertaining. I got home about 3 o'clock and had lunch! I could have had it with DS2 and GD but I knew OH was busy doing eBay stuff and wouldn't think about stopping to eat. After that I did a bit of gardening and cut the lawn (again!).

Daisy SIL was stuck with a very difficult flooring job today , the customer hadn’t moved a thing said even dirty nappies was still on floor so he refused to put wood down till it was cleared meaning he had to go back after they moved stuff , unbelievable isn’t it
He is coming this tomorrow (today ) instead ,
We put hall mirror back up and then B fitted my wardrobe lights so painting didn’t get done ,
lazed about after that couldn’t be bothered to do anything else 😁

Poor GD she must be fed up feeling like that , I bet she enjoyed the company though and her knitting , how is she doing has she got the hang of it ?
J is like B if they busy they don’t think about eating 🙄

Good morning, Daisy, I always make sure everything it clean and tidy before I go away, I had a neighbour years ago and she couldn't believe I cleaned through before I went away! I even make sure that all is tidy before I even go to the gym etc. Oma, there are so many that don't bother at all, unbelievable.

I didn't have to worry about my hospital appointment at 9pm, I have never had such a good cycle through Delft, during the day it is so busy but was fine last night then the hospital, deserted! I walked to where I wanted to be and asked the security if I could scan my card, he said I didn't have to, just sit in the waiting room and they would come for me, they did, in fact I was outside before the time of my appointment, so, I had a really good cycle ride home, the wind helped! I was home before dark.

I haven't been to the hospital for well over 2 years, it is quite new and where the old hospital/parking place was they have built so many apartments, I knew there were plans but they seem to build them so quickly.

Nanto, your DH must be so handy doing all he does. In fact you all seem to have handy hubbies.

Plant, enjoy your few days away.xx

                          Daisy, your poor GD.

Good morning Lizzie and everyone else who pops in today.

Lizzie - sometimes we get anxious about things and then it all works perfectly. I'm so glad that late appointment was trouble free, and the nice bike ride was a bonus. Yes, it's amazing how quickly a place can change and buildings disappear and new one spring up.

I'm out early this morning. I've got to go down to Lymington for a few odds and ends and OH is going to see DS1 who has promised to sort some problems out with his laptop. The new Windows operating system has me baffled! Then dog training this afternoon. Chat later.

Good morning. Its raining. Sunshine is forecast for this afternoon.

Lizzie, hubby is very handy. he can turn his hand to anything.
Over the years he has installed central heating, knocked walls down.
Bricked other walls up. He built our conservatory.
                              Countless things he has done.

Oma, unbelievable about the dirty floor.

                              Have a good day ladies.

Lizzie I'm glad everything went much more smoothly than you anticipated for the scan.

Oma, some people are beyond belief aren't they?!

                                Busy day for you Daisy.

Aqua aerobics for me this morning, nails this afternoon ( just toes)
OH and I have to collect our repeat prescriptions. A new system which I will write about separately later.
My friend M is coming for tea tonight. OH is at another golf meal, so I will have some company. We are having my favourite , salmon It's easy and I know she likes it too. She is bringing the pud, so a surprise 😊
