Everyone here busy today so I plan to pop to Waitrose and then a quick trip to the garden center nearby. I still haven’t cleaned those windows, my excuse is it is too sunny and I don’t feel like it! Then I will perhaps tidy a border and or sit in the sun room. Get out and enjoy the sun whilst we have it.

Oma, you have the right idea, enjoy that coffee watching the waves.

Daisy, I hope you continue to get stronger. My GS3 now has the virus. We have been warned that a lady who attended WI this week has reported she has the virus. There do seem to be more cases around.

      Good morning ladies

Daisy, I'm so glad you are getting better. Take it slowly DD3 had a much fainter line on her test yesterday, so she is on the road to recovery.

I hope you can visit your friend today Lizzie.

It is pity you cant see your friends today Oma. Good for you two still going out though, it will do you good.

We had a good night out with our friends, and met our friend H's new lady! H has been single for over 6 years, and lost her mother during that time. She is still in her 50's. It would be nice for her to have someone in her life

This evening we are going to see Amanda Owens (Yorkshire Shepherdess) give a talk. It is part of the Theatre Royal Literature festival, but takes place at a school. It's a public school, so will have lovely big airy hall I'm sure. We are asked to wear masks and take lateral flow tests, which we are glad of. My friend J went to something similar last year and said she was very good.
Sainsbury's order due here between 11 and 12. No other plans until we go out tonight. I intend to get at least one wash load out though as it is dry and sunny.

      Happy Sunday everyone.

        Good morning each.
Sunny but chilly here. Glad to see you are all still rocking and rolling. (Well most of you). A busy day here in Grauntieland. All family here to dinner. The sons-in-law are going to help OH sort out the fencing as we lost a few panels on our side and we have new neighbours. 😬 They have been very patient as this is the first opportunity to sort it.
Dinner will be a hoot with the dairy free, gluten free, yeast free people and of course a vegetarian! I am still loafing around in my dressing gown. I must move myself.
        Have a splendid Sunday Ladies.

I've been busy all day and haven't warmed up yet.
I certainly don't think its as warm as yesterday.

Grauntie, hope you have a lovely day with family.

Gem, i like Amanda Owens. Loved the Oor Yorkshire Farm programmes.

Daisy, pleased to hear you are on the mend. Take care.

Hello everybody. I don't know quite what is happening to my mornings at the moment but I don't seem to get anywhere near the computer until later in the day.

Thank you all so much for your good wishes. I do feel much better today. OH was tired and had a lie in (he has been quite busy between sanding and painting around the stairs) so I decided to potter in the garden. It was lovely in the sun, but the breeze was a bit fresh! I've tidied out the summer house and this afternoon we sat in there to have a cup of tea . I don't know where all the rubbish comes from, but I nearly filled a black bin bag. I do at least feel I've achieved something, although I shall be ready for bed by the time I've cooked dinner.

Eva is out with Missy and family, so she will be ready for a sleep too.

We've got an early start tomorrow - Eva is due at the vets at 9.30 - vaccinations, poor doggy. Then we'll pop over to DS2's to collect their dog crate for Missy who has her op on Wednesday. I'll do a test in the morning and if I'm still positive I'll just sit in the car.

Daisy, you must be feeling better to have done some pottering around!

It has been a cold wind here, I didn't get to visit the friend, I will go this week, I keep having nose bleeds and had one this morning so decided to stay home, a good thing I did as I had a visitor, the lady I know from the pool, we have been going since it started, her hubby called in for coffee with an up to date iPhone for me! Very nice of him, I was saying at the pool last week that mine wouldn't get the bank app from april 4th so he said he had just got a new one for his birthday (from the cats) and I could have his, true to his word, he phoned to tell me Suzanne has the flu (not covid) and wouldn't be swimming tomorrow so could he call in today with the phone. I have got it all transferred so it all works now. I was going to buy one but this is a good one and I am pleased with it. I usually get them from DS1 but he hasn't had an update lately and I am not keen on those huge models. This one is neat.

Lizzie, hope Suzanne feels better soon.

Daisy, sound like you are well on the road to recovery, which is good.

Had a very keen frost, but the sun is shining.

It will be lovely to get the bedding on the line when i have changed it.

                      Good morning everyone.

                      Frosty here!!

I hope you are not overdoing it because you are starting to feel better Daisy!

It sounds as though that phone will do you well Lizzie.

We enjoyed Amada Owen last night. It was odd to be somewhere with a lot of people though, and despite us being asked to I would say only a third of us wore masks.
We have a treat day today. OH and I with our friends J and T are going for spa day! One of those offers, at a country hotel near Wakefield. Sparking Afternoon Tea and use of pool etc. We have booked the afternoon tea at 2pm as a late lunch . We are picking them up around 9.30.

                      Happy Monday ladies.

Lizzie, how kind of your friend’s OH to give you that phone. So sorry to hear about the nose bleeds, do you know what causes them?

Gemini, like you I would expect people to be wearing masks in a theatre. There seems to be an increase in cases around here so stay safe, perhaps stay away from crowded places.

Nanto, loved the sunny graphic. Just the day to get that bedding on the line.

I am not sure how my day will pan out. It is a bowling day but it seems a shame to be indoors when the weather is so good but ……..

Plant, unfortunately last night and todays spa day were booked some time, ago, when numbers were lower. Apart from GD's dancing show the week before we fly (bad timing) I will be avoiding crowds after today. Not that I expect a crowd at the spa day

Good morning, it was very cold here early morning, a keen frost, lovely now though.

Plant, I seemed to have had sinus trouble since November, I am going to see the specialist next week, my whole head echo's! That is what is causing the nose bleeds. I think anyway.

Gem, you are living it up today, have a good time!xxx

It was kind of my friends DH to give me the phone, they are such a nice couple, Suzanne has had cancer of the lungs, twice, she missed parts of her lungs, but, all well at the moment and she swims etc. She has to go for scan etc every 6 months.

I am going to sit out on the balcony and drink my coffee, aqua later on.

                              Morning ladies ,

Lizzie what a kind man he is , I hope you get lots of use from the phone ,
I always get Bs old phones . I’m not technical enough to want a new one I’m happy with his cast offs , a new all singing number would be wasted on me

Plant we have to take advantage of any nice days but you will miss your bowls , how’s the hand today ?

Nanto thank you for the lovely graphic it put a smile on my face 😁

Gem enjoy your Spa day be nice treat before you stay away from everyone 👍😀

Just been down to Iceland food warehouse it was empty we were the only people in , then went into B&M again empty , it was just after 8am mind you

I have a dark wash on , it’s a bit nippy out but I think they may dry on the line , or at least mostly dry then I can finish off in the tumble if they don’t .

Im in a quandary what to get MIL for mothers day , everyone buys her flowers or a plant , she doesn’t eat chocolates ,
doesn’t want anything in fact but can’t just give her a card .
Everywhere is booked for lunch so may treat her on Monday instead .
Im not fat just 6ft too small

Oma, I think taking your Mil out for lunch is a good idea, I know I would like it. Thanks for asking about my hand, it is healing slowly, I do dress it myself between visits to nurse, I think it will take a while yet to finish healing.

My kitchen faces the back of the garages and the windows were so filthy so I have just cleaned them, problem is one job leads to another so I have come in for a coffee break to stop starting new jobs. There are so many jobs need doing outside once the fine weather comes but I need to pace myself these days.
