Brother in law not feeling at his best.
We're all hoping that when he gets the stents done he will turn a corner.

It's been another loooooooong day working in the garden.
Got loads cut down and burnt.
Hubby has decided that we have done now until monday.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

Nanto when are they doing the stents ?
I think your Hubby is right you need a few days rest xx

Well took MIL out for tea and she was almost good ,
She had a Roast beef dinner and scraped her plate clean , enjoyed every mouthful,
She did however complain about the children on the next table ,
She doesn't think children should be in a restaurant

Had to remind her once again she had 5 and apart from the youngest getting a bit restless they were very well behaved considering there was 4 of them and the oldest must have only been 5-6

From there we took her to Morrisons for her shopping ,
For someone of 87 who says she cant walk far she can move at some speed ,

She Flitted from isle to isle we were in fits of laughter we felt like the old ones trying to keep up with her

Im a bit worn out now but it was quite a good outing with her for a change .
Im not fat just 6ft too small

Nan2, BIL should start to feel much better once his stents are fitted I'm sure. I think your OH is right, no more work until Monday!
That sounds a good outing with MIL , Oma. I had a baked potato with tuna and cheese with a side salad for my tea. Followed by a Solero lolly

Good visit with my mum this afternoon. It's never easy, as her chatting ability is so limited now, and she forgets straight away what has been said, and keeps saying she's not sure how long she will stay here and where she will go next. She wasn't upset when I left this time though, which is nicer for us both. They also said she had been downstairs into the lounge a couple of times this week.
I took chocolate eclair cakes which she loves, and a framed photo of the family group taken on her birthday.

Nanto - it's not just the hard physical work that tires you out, it's worry as well, and you and your OH have had more than your fair share just lately, so a week-end off is definitely in order! I hope your BIL's stents are fitted as soon as possible.

Oma - so glad your outing with MIL went without serious incident. She does enjoy her food, doesn't she - and I had to laugh at you and B trying to keep up with her in the supermarket! You'll have to get roller skates!

WeeGranny - I'm sorry I didn't see the post about your DD's promotion. She must be so delighted, and I'm sure it's well-earned. I hope you get some answers from the oncologist next week, but it sounds as though your OH is eating a little, and perhaps he needs several smaller meals a day to stop him losing any more weight.

Gem - Good news about S's bloods results. xxx It sounds as though your Mum was relatively cheerful, even if she finds it difficult to keep up a conversation. I'm sure she'll love the photo - I can guess which one it was - it really is lovely. I bet the choc eclairs were very welcome too.

I'm still struggling to type - I know I could do it one-handed, but it takes me forever!

We decided togo to the garden centre for some plants after all - I'll write about it on another thread. OH dropped me off there as he wanted to go to B&Q for something, and the lady walking just in front of me was my DIL2's mum. So I caught her up and we went for a coffee and a natter - she had just gone for the little outing, and went back home afterwards while I started shopping. Then OH caught up with me, but I still had more I wanted to see, so he went for a coffee. Then I ran into a friend from college who I hadn't seen since the summer. We had a quick chat before he rushed off for his flu jab, and I went back to plant shopping. It was a beautiful sunny day and very pleasant wandering around among the plants.

I hoed the garden when I got back - not good for my arm, and I really shouldn't have done it.

Good morning.Had some overnight rain, but the sun is showing its face now.

Oma, not sure when BIL will get the stents. He's hoping they take him to Sheffield today,so we will see.
The outing with your MIL doesn't sound too bad,it could have been worse.

Gem, glad your visit with your mum was ok.

An easier day for us today.
Hubby will be out with his pal, i'll be at dads for a coupe of hours.
This afternoon we are having our booster jabs.

                Good morning my dears!

What a lovely social afternoon Daisy! But you should have left the hoeing.
I hope the jabs go well Nan2.
                And B's Oma!

Sunny here, with of course that October morning chill in the air.
I am out delivering the last of the newsletters this morning, which won't take long.
GD and GS2 school pick ups and here for tea, then OH and I are invited to eat at DD3's tonight. Good to see them back in their home after the long period away due to putting everything right that the undetected underfloor leak caused. Insurance paid for the work and redecoration plus airbnb while it went on, but it's good to be back home.

                Have a nice Friday everyone.

Pleased to hear your DD3 and her OH are back in their home, enjoy your meal with them Gemini.

Hope the booster jabs for you Nanto and your OH go okay and I hope B will be okay Oma. Mine is booked.

I have hairdresser at 11, will be pleased to get my hair cut and a light perm. We are not having SkyQ now, after several visits from Sky engineers it now appears not suitable for our situation. It has been a real headache for us, particularly my Sil who has dealt with them. Later I have to pop to Waitrose to do a bit of food shopping and pick up a parcel. Not a 100% yet but feeling a lot better.

B had his jab got the Pfiser one this time

Went into Sainsburys as B wanted to look at Jumpers , he found 3 he liked ,
                      So many shelves empty ,

We wanted a pack of Pudding rice and it was on the very top shelf neither of us could reach , I went and asked a assistant to bring the step thing to get us some ,
She came down and still had to climb on a shelf to get to it it was so high ,
Got down handed us the pudding rice and as she did we realised the packets on the middle shelf we had looked at was in fact the pudding rice

We all had a bit of a laugh about it but I bet when she walked away she was thinking dippy old people hahaha

Gem enjoy your meal it must be so nice for them getting settled back in before the winter sets in xx

Plant you always feel better when you have your hair done don't you .

Good Morning everyone,it has been quite a few days since I last posted I have felt so poorly and spent 3 x days in my bed with the most horrible headache,I did a home test and it was negative so no worries there I just felt so awful and very very tired.
Today I feel better and am up and about, all I was doing was waking up having a shower and then going back to bed I have just been having toast and soup for meals as I had no appetite to speak of,my lovely DD came in every day from work just to check on me for an hour or two she is so good.

I have caught up on everyones news this morning which took me an hour or so,sorry to read about all of those who are not feeling to good please take care of yourselves.

I will catch up during the week-end now I feel brighter take care everyone.

Good morning everyone. Friday mornings are becoming a bit of a car crash in the Daisy household. Sainsburys came early (I said they could, so my fault!) and then New Patio Man came early, and we were still trying to put the bins out. Eventually I managed to get a shower and some breakfast ready to face the day! (I'll say something about New Patio Man in the patio thread)

So I felt as though we'd had a busy day by 9.30, and thought that is probably how Oma feels most days. Oma - xx

Oma - they must see you coming in the supermarket and put tempting morsels on very high shelves just for you.

Plant - I'm so pleased you are feeling a bit better - but don't overdo it, will you. Nice to get your hair done though. Are you going to stick with your existing Sky box now the SkyQ isn't suitable? What a performance for your SIL though.

Gem - have a lovely after school time with GD and GS2. Your DD3 must be so happy to be back in their own home - enjoy your evening with them. You're right, I should have left the hoeing - my arm is so sore this morning and kept waking me up in the night. My own fault. OH has said he'll dig the planting holes for the things we bought yesterday.

Nanto - good for you and your OH taking things a bit easier today. I do hope your BIL's move to Sheffield takes place - they will want to make sure he's stable before they move him.

I hope all the people getting boosters are ok and no after effects.

Just going to pop a load of washing in and then do a bit of gardening - carefully! Tonight we're going to a friend's for dinner - a late birthday celebration for OH and another friend who will also be there with his wife.

Glamm - our posts crossed. I'm so sorry to hear you have been feeling so poorly. I wonder what it was. But at least you're on the mend and your DD is a treasure. Take care of yourself. Sending hugs. xx

Oma, I don't think anyone is getting Astra Zeneca as a booster, even if you had it before. Pfizer or Moderna I heard. Laughing about the rice!
Oh poor you Glamma, that's you and Plant both poorly this week. I'm so glad you are on the mend, but take it slowly x
                              Enjoy your evening Daisy.

OH decided to help me the deliver the last newsletters as she has a free day today. A lovely bright sunny morning, no coat needed and with two of us done very quickly. I found a par of trainers which would fit a child of maybe 6 or 7 years old, on the grass while I was out. They looked in good condition. I wonder if they had fallen out of someone's bag on the way to school. We have 4 primary schools in our village and the adjoining one, so I took a photo and posted on both FB groups.

                              Time for lunch now
