Oma, we would prefer a handle flush too. The downstairs loo has that.
The upstairs one is repaired and working now anyway.
    A very busy library afternoon!
I have cooked salmon for our tea which is almost ready. So feet up with telly after that

Gosh, hope all the poorly people mentioned on here are soon on the mend. Nanto, do you think your BiL has been overexerting himself with the new bungalow? Hope the stents help his recovery. Lizzie, that sounds horrendous about your neighbour, hope something can be done to reconstruct her face. Sad that her family is so far away, Daisy hope your arm/shoulder are a bit less painful soon. Plant, probably wise to stay indoors until your cold disappears. Anyone else I've missed, hope you soon feel better too!

After a visit to the dentist for a check up( all Ok, have hygienist to see next week) I came home and took advantage of a dry afternoon to get the lawn cut. Didn't realise it was as long as it was, but it's done now and hopefully, I won't have too many more cuts to do before the Winter.

As only one person is allowed to visit OH, DS went in this afternoon. I went in yesterday. He says there's not much change, OH is very thin, doesn't want to eat, though DS persuaded him to have some omelette and a salad for tea. Said he was very tired. His head seems to be healing and there's no bleeding on the brain which is a relief. He's having blood tests and waiting for test results etc. We play the waiting game again, but at least he's in a room on his own and the ward is a quiet one unlike the one he was on last time. They keep his door open during the day so he can see the comings and goings and, if he sits up in bed, he has a lovely view of the surrounding countryside. We ( that is DD,DS and myself) have an appointmetn with his oncologist next week, so he may be able to tell us a bit more about what his plans are.

Some good news at last, DD has just been given a promotion at work. Can't remember what her new job title is, but she's very excited about it all. Her interview was at 7.30am and she said the first question was what did she think of the Government's strategy for the hospitality industry! I think she'll sleep well tonight! Hopefully she'll have a bottle of fizz in the fridge!

Off to find something for dinner and watch last night's Bake Off. Have a good evening ladies xx

Oma, yes to flush me out, I am not uncomfortable at all, luckily. It is just the thought of them sticking all those tubes and wires all over me that nerved me! There was no need as he was such a sweet, understanding young man. I told him so as well, he really knew how to put me at ease. Which isn't an easy task.

Lizzie, your poor neighbour.hope she makes a good recovery.

Oma, your neighbour off on one again. I feel sorry for her sometimes.
Wish she wouldn't keep stopping her meds.

BIL is still feeling rough. he just wants to get the stents in, and hoping that they do there job.

Had another busy day at the bungalow in the back garden.
Sent some photos to BIL and he was amazed at the difference.
Inside looks so much so much better now the plastering is done.
Nephew is coming after the weekend to do the decorating.
He's got a couple of small jobs to do first,so he can concentrate on the bungalow.

Gosh, there's a lot going on, so forgive me for not catching up with everyone.

I am trying to rest my arm and shoulder (yes, Oma, it's my writing arm) and typing is quite painful. I keep changing the height of my chair so I'm not using the muscles in quite the same way all the time. I don't think it's a frozen shoulder - I've had it before and the pain is mainly in my arm - shoulder starts to hurt if I'm in one position too long, say cooking. Fortunately I was able to do nearly all the dog training today off lead, and we didn't do much writing in French. Driving doesn't seem to be a problem.

Sleep well, everyone, night, night. x

                Good morning.

Oma, they are paying rent for both homes,so it doesn't matter how long it takes them to move in.
They do have to give 2 weeks notice on the other house.

I think it will be another day of cutting stuff down in the garden.
Nothing we can do inside now.
Wish i had taken photos, the garden was just wild.

Early start for me, I have a decorator coming to do a couple of small jobs, wish they didn’t want to start so early. Also, the person from Sky is supposed to be coming to finish off the connection to SkyQ. Giving Aqua a miss this week, still not feeling 100 per cent.

Having my hair cut tomorrow Oma. I hope the meal out with Mil goes well and no complaints.

Nanto, you will soon have the bungalow and garden ship shape for your family to move into.

                      Good morning everyone.

                      I like this morning's graphic Nan2
I hope the meal out with MIL goes smoothly Oma!
Definitely give aqua a miss for this week Plant.

Chilly here this morning, autumn is definitely here.
This morning is OH's bi-annual check in with her oncologist. It's done via Zoom these days which suits us fine.
This afternoon I am going to see my mum.
OH has golf this afternoon and a golf club meal this evening. So, it's meal for one chez Gemini tonight!

I hope everyone feels well today, all aches and pains disappearing.

Good morning everyone. It's a beautiful sunny morning here - so welcome at this time of year.

Gem - I do hope S's Zoom call with the specialist goes well and your mum is ok, too.

Oma - You've reminded me I need to book a hair cut! I hope MIL enjoys her tea and doesn't give you a hard time.

Nanto - what news on your BIL this morning? I hope he's not worrying about all the jobs in the bungalow and garden - everything seems to be progressing well there, and hopefully they can move in as soon as he's well enough.

Plant - I never understand why the day has to start so early! I think you're wise not to go to aqua - you need to get properly better, and take things slowly. I'm sure having your hair done will help a little as well. I'll be interested to hear what you think about SkyQ - is it much better?

Not sure what we're doing today. I'd like to get a couple of plants for the garden, but might just opt for a quiet day at home!

Good morning, I am away for a few hours and so many posts to read! It is nice and sunny here now, I have been to the bike shop and got a cover/holder for the computer part, I told him the saddle was hard, it is as well, I get a sore bum! He said it is well known and they have softer ones, cost so much but this one goes in part exchange so won't cost much at all, they are waiting for them coming in and he will put one away for me and fit it when I call in. I have hoovered through etc, made a banana bread, all early so I will go to the gym for one hour at 1pm. I take part of the bread to my neighbour, she is full of cold, so many people have colds or flu, my DIL2has been ill all week but she was feeling better yesterday.

Oma, enjoy the meal with your MIL.

Gem, I hope the zoom meeting for OH goes well. My BIL sister lives in Selby, she went to A&E in York yesterday, they had to wait 14 hours!!!! People are going there, she said, as they can't get to see their GP's.

Plant, I hope all gets sorted out today, maybe a good idea to give aqua a miss if you are not completely better.

Daisy, how is the shoulder? Or arm?
