Had a few spots of rain an hour ago,but that seems to have passed over now.

Nan2, the thunderstorms here are predicted for this afternoon. I am hoping they stay away! It has rained overnight.
We are going over to Harrogate to the outdoor pool. Our slot is 3.oo to 4.15. No other plans today. I have a free day tomorrow so the housework I have been neglecting due to hot weather will be done

Good morning everyone. It's just started raining here.

OH's eye is feeling much better - just a bit tender, and he has a tip run booked for lunch-time. Hoping patio man will turn up but nothing so far! I'm getting fed-up with him.

Gem - I hope you enjoy your swim this afternoon. Don't tire yourself out with the housework beforehand, though.

Up and out early this morning ,
Didn't sleep again up and down all night so had a shower about 6 did what needed doing housework wise ,
We then went to Morrisons and then Aldi .

Didn't really want much, wandered around trying to find inspiration for something different

Daisy hope that Gardener turns up, he is pushing his luck with you I think
Did you do anymore on your painting ?

It may be dull but its so stuffy , you probably enjoy this weather better in the pool not too hot just nice

How is the house sale going ?

WG I went into Tesco last week for a side of Salmon , came home with 2 bags of shopping I hadn't gone in for and then remembered the Salmon once I got home

Lizzie I hope Mr Mouse doesn't get into the house they are little blighters , Cute but Pests sadly .

Plant enjoy Aqua you will be pleased to get back I bet , How are the bowls going ?

We have The Dog for a few hours tonight , DD & SIL going to a show and GS1 at work

B will pick GS1 up from work at 8 and take him and dog back home .

Had a lazy morning playing Scrabble with OH and watching This Morning! I did clean the bathroom though.
No news on the house sale Oma which we hope is good news! I hope you get a nap later x

Oma, the mouse didn't get in the house but I heard from a neighbour that some people have them in their house! I have bought traps so will see if I can catch any.

Daisy, is the young (gardener) man taking on too much work?

I got a message that the friend that survived pancreatic cancer is in the hospital, she had a scan on Monday and blood yesterday, they had just returned home from a day on the beach yesterday when the oncologist phoned to say she had to get to the hospital as soon as possible as her blood wasn't good. The calcium count was far too low so she is now on a drip with calcium, her BP was way too high but that was lower this morning, she hopes it was for one night , her partner is going this afternoon then he may know more.

Sadly we still have a monthly appointment for the tablets! Bloods then appointment with consultant, but it's in the hospital where he's been treated for the past 15 years, so we know the staff...and they know all about his health problems. Only problem is that I have to take in a Covid test for OH a couple of days before the appointment. Whereas at the other hospital we go in two days before his appointment for bloods and Covid test then back for the chemo. So next week we have eye clinic, the following week old hospital, the week after that a scan followed two days later by a meeting with consultant at the new hospital. Just had hospital on phone, OH's blood levels are low, am I still administering the injections?!!!!

Apart from that, things are going along nicely! Sat outside last night with a G&T and watched the hedgehogs visiting the food bowl. It was very peaceful until some idiot decided he was practising for Brands Hatch round the streets. It hasn't gone too well with the residents, but he has apologised on the village FB page, which is something. I don't think he'll be doing it again in a hurry.

Got some cheap strawberries when shopping yesterday, so I'm off to make some jam!

OH still in bed, DS somewhere around and it's a funny sort of day weatherwise. Misty earlier but sun trying to break through now.

Had a good time at Aqua, meeting old friends, too much talking not enough exercise this week, our lovely instructor will be a bit stricter next week. We are still not able to use the changing rooms and have to get dressed in an outside gazebo. Bowling this afternoon has been cancelled due to possible rain, not sorry as two lots of exercise in one day is a bit much for this old lady.

WG your visits to hospital are very tiring for you both, good luck with the jam, do you use pectin to set it? We have problems with motor bikes roaring past us in the woods when we have lovely weather, mainly Sundays. They do not have number plates to report them. At least your nuisance driver has apologised. How lovely to sit in the garden with a G&T and watch hedgehogs

I do hope you have had the workmen today Daisy, they are certainly pushing their luck.

Going to dads for a couple of hours later.
Made 2 rhubarb pies yesterday,but left them in fridge uncooked.
Just baked them this morning. One for us, one for dad.
Had a bit of rain during the night,but its very muggy.

Good morning everyone. It's grey and drizzly here, but quite warm, and patio man turned up at 7.30 as promised. I've just given everyone tea and coffee, now off for a shower before Sainsbury come at 8.30. OH is doing the bins. It's all action stations here!

Got Flu jabs this morning at 10 .
GS1 is 17 today i cant believe time has crept up on us ,
We picked him up from work last night gave him his card and gift then we rang this morning before Collage to sing Happy Birthday

Its quite a nice morning rained during night but fine now .

Daisy hope they work hard today make up for lost time xx

Lizzie we love Rhubarb too , when its on cheap B buys it and makes Rhubarb jam

How are we all this morning ?

Oma, congratulation with you GS, GD1 will be 16 soon and it seems like only yesterday she was crawling around here playing with her toys. Memories.

I am going for a bike ride before the rain arrives, at least I hope to stay dry.
