Plant, GS2 is very unsure of some things, but very confident in others! Yesterday when we were out he found a phone in the sand pit. He didn't ignore it or bring it to me. He stood up, looked at the adults sitting around and asked very clearly if this was anyone's phone! The young mum who had lost it was very grateful
You have done your bit with baby caring, having six GC Plant! Now your role is to enjoy their company

Lizzie, I must start Aqua now the schools are going back.

Too warm here to sit in the garden until I get some shade. Just back from DS’s, I dropped off some curtains I had made for GS’s shed! DS, who is retired now made me a lovely coffee and had a chat with grandsons. GS 3 gave me some ear phones for my new I pad and explained in great detail how to use them. My new I pad doesn’t have a socket for earphones so GS has given me these. I think they are IPods? I called in the co-op on the way home for some lettuce, the salad shelves were nearly empty. I will explain about the shed curtains in Yeo.

Lizzie is there any shade on your bike ride or is it all in the sun ?

Gem what a clever boy he is , most children wouldn't have stood up and asked

Oma, not much shade but a slight breeze, it was warm if I stopped but had my water bottle with me.

We got back from the hospital about 12 o'clock, so not too bad. The roads were very busy - the busiest I've seen them since before the first lockdown, but the Southampton Boat Show is due to start this week-end, and it does get extra busy! At least we were able to find a parking space, even if it was a tight squeeze!

OH always feels washed out afterwards, so he's dozing in front of the tv, catching up on some recorded programmes, and I would love to be spending this afternoon in the garden, but there's nowhere to sit comfortably and I'm so cross about the hold up with the patio it will only make me feel even crosser.

I took Eva for a walk before we went out, so she's fast asleep on the sofa - snoring! It's too hot to take her out anyway.

Lizzie - if you've got some nice shady cycle paths I would think it's very pleasant cycling along on a warm day. The coffee mornings sound very busy - they must have been badly missed during lockdowns. Your knitting neighbour must miss her son very much. Seattle's a long way. Is he working there, or has he moved there permanently?

Gem - you're a glutton for punishment gardening in this heat. It's 27C here. Your GS2 sounds a very bright little boy, and mature for his age. That was very sensible of him to ask if anyone had lost their phone.

Plant - I'm sure you'd love to look after Baby H to help out, but little ones are exhausting. I felt tired yesterday just looking after our GD1 who's 11 and very grown up for her age. When I got home I felt like going to bed. I'm sure your GD1 is a bit nervous about being back at work, as well as leaving Baby H for the first time. But H is such a sunny little soul, and she has stayed with her grandparents before. I'm sure she will just see it as a fun part of her week.

Nanto - did you get your windows and doors cleaned ok? Did your OH enjoy his morning out?

Oma - has the chair lift got an extra turn of speed now? I hope the blood tests go ok later this afternoon.

Daisy, he met an American girl a few years ago and moved to Seattle, his parents and the rest of the family all went to the wedding, that would be 2 or 3 years ago now. The granddaughter spent a lot of time here with her grandparents but now the man is ill and unable to drive so they can't pick her up as often as they did, I think her mother brings her every other weekend though.

It's been a scorcher here as well.
Daisy,i did get the windows and doors cleaned at dads.
Managed to get them done before it got too warm.
Hubby came and we put the plants in for dad that we bought on saturday.
After dinner dad came stayed for a cuppa and biscuits.
Then we were stood at the fence chatting to the neighboures for a good hour.
We did ask them to come and sit in the garden and have a drink, but they always say no.
Then hubby's brother came, they have gone for a ride on their quad and trike.
Hubby on the quad, brother on his trike.

Been to have Bloods taken , no doubt Dr will want to speak to me they will be high I just know they will

Made appointment for us both to have Flu Jab on Friday morning ,

Lady came in while I was waiting ,
Just like MIL made a right fuss over wearing a mask , she was offered a visor , refused that .
After they told her they would have to cancel her nurses appointment she finally put a mask on ,

She was in and out in 5 minutes so don't know what the fuss was about

Lizzie - I feel it's so hard for long-distance families like your neighbour and son. It must be harder for them now the man can't drive.

Nanto - I think the windows would have had to wait if you hadn't been so quick off the mark. I bet your OH and BIL attract attention on their trike and quad bike.

Oma - I hope you're wrong about your blood test results! We've got appointments for our flu jabs as well. No wonder the doctors don't want to see patients when they make such a fuss about things.

Beautiful again, but i think its the last day of this good weather.

Oma, there is always somebody ready to make a fuss.
Hope your results are better than you think.

Daisy, they do get a lot of attention with the quad and trike.

                            Good morning ladies.
The sun is out already. These lovely early September days have been a bonus, even if a bit too hot!

I hope the bloods aren't as high as your fear Oma. What's wrong with these people, making a fuss about masks?!
How is your OH's eye today Daisy?
FIL is getting out a bit more now isnt he Nan2?

Fourth consecutive golf day for OH. Going to Bridlington today. She claims she is feeling fine and not at all tired!

                            Keep cool everyone

Good morning everyone. It's already warm here and promising to be hot - for a while. Rain is forecast later today though. The garden man has arrived, and OH isn't feeling great - his eye's very sore and tender. I must get moving and get a shower and take Eva out before it gets too warm.

                              See you later. xx
