Glamma, glad you are feeling better.

Oma, lovely to be invited out for a meal.

My washing dried in no time, it's so breezy but the sun is shining.

Gem, pleased the afternoon went well eventually, for your mum.

Hallo everyone, sorry for not replying to all posts, at last I am feeling much better, in fact, even though it is Sunday I have done all the windows and got the curtains washed, I was sat here last week feeling sorry for myself and decided that the curtains needed washing, so, they are now lovely and clean! I went down to the garage etc to take some things and I saw the friend I swim with, she was going on holiday on Thursday to Spain, I did look surprised when I saw her, she looks ill as well. She was with her daughter and they were going to the hospital in Delft, the friend was boarding the plane when she had an epileptic seizure. She was rushed by ambulance to the hospital in Amsterdam and allowed home yesterday, she is staying at her daughters, just opposite here, her daughter said she seems to be getting worse, can't remember her age or where she lives etc so they have phoned the hospital. I will know more when I see someone.

Plant, yes, the windmill up the road from us grinds corn, we can go and buy the flour but one of the supermarkets here in the village sell it as well. This is the website in English, there is a working one in Delft as well.http://www.windlustnootdorp.nl/engels

Gem, I am pleased all went well with your mum.

Oma, your DD will be pleased with her new car. Enjoy the meal. I bet your poor neighbour got a shock! Exposing herself. I do wonder how long anyone like that can stay by themselves.

Glamm, so pleased you are feeling better. Your neighbour will be pleased as well, he will have been missing his meal.

My neighbour came back from shopping as I was doing the windows, she has had plastic surgery on her nose, still a long way to go though. I gave her a warm jacket, I have far too many and I had even forgot I had this one.

Daisy, you will be settled in at home now, how is your shoulder?

Nanto, enjoy the roast chicken tomorrow.

How lovely Oma. It would have done you good
I'm so glad you are feeling better Lizzie. Don't overdo it though! Kind of you to give that lady a warm jacket.
It's good to hear you are feeling so much better too Glamma. Take it easy now.
Nan2, I got washing dried outside too.

A lazy day here. TV, Scrabble and online. Mind you I have done some pre Christmas shopping today, as in put things in baskets but not finally checked out yet.
I'm just making a quick pasta dish for tea as we have mushrooms and some hot dog sausages to use up. On my way to start that now!

We had a nice time with friends this morning. It was a final small celebration for our friend's 80th - the one whose birthday lunch we went to last week. I'd managed to get the bedding out on the line before they arrived, and it dried nicely in the breeze. I don't suppose we'll get many more good drying days now for a while!

I swept what part of the patio we've got - it was covered in moss off the roof. Then swept the path down the side of the house so the Patio man can start with a clean work area tomorrow. Washed the bird baths and put fresh water in. OH put a second coat of paint on the end of his shed (workshop!!) but by then the air was too damp and it didn't go on very well. I prepped some dog food, and then started cooking dinner.

Glamm - thank goodness you are on the mend at last. You've had a rough time, but I'm glad you finally got your laser treatment. Has it made a difference to your sight? Poor little Oliver - it sounds as though he doesn't like the fireworks either. They seem to get louder every year. The Classic FM music is supposed to help cats as well as dogs, so it might be worth trying if you have any more noisy nights.

Gem - I was wondering how your mum's outing had gone. I think you've managed it very well and I'm sure both you and your friend were happy to see your two mums enjoying being together. It is a lot of work for you, but it must be worth it when things go well. xxx Have you finished setting your quiz?

Oma - you were right when you said your neighbour was getting worse again. Has she stopped taking her meds? The other neighbours must have had quite a fright.

Nanto - have you prepared everything for your chicken dinner tomorrow?

We've got to be up early (for us) tomorrow, so I'm off to bed. Night, night everyone. xx

Good morning. We had a lovely sunrise this morning.

GD2 can't make it. 2 girls have called into sick,so she has to help cover.
Chicken might be going in the freezer now.

Daisy, sounds like you were quite busy yeaterday, but it's nice to see friends and then get your jobs done.

                  Good Monday morning everyone.

Nanto what a shame GD2 has to work, but I'm sure the chicken will come in another time.

Lizzie - I'm so sorry I missed your post last night. I'm really pleased you're feeling better but you were a bit naughty doing all that window cleaning and washing curtains. Your poor friend - her Dd must be worried about her, but it would have been even worse if the seizure had happened on the plane. I'm sure the lady's plastic surgery on her nose will take time, but she will be delighted with the jacket, I'm sure.

Just getting ready for New Patio Man to arrive - this involves having to move the caravan, which we didn't think about yesterday! Then OH is going up to DS1's for a couple of days, and I'm in charge of tea and doughnuts! Back later.

                    Good morning, a lovely morning.

Yes Daisy, I did do too much as my shoulder is playing up! It will clear.

My friend has to go to her own GP today for a talk and more information, the DD is going with her, she has 2 DD's but something happened and they don't talk to each other, that is causing my friend a lot of stress.

Yes, the neighbour was pleased with the jacket. I hope she wears it. Good luck with the patio this time.

Good morning all. Noisy starlings are arguing on the bird feeders in the garden already, why can't they have a lie in once in a while 😏

Yesterday OH cut the lawn proclaiming that it will be the last cut until next spring.... he said that a week ago when he cut it but the mower saw the light of day again yesterday morning.

Has anyone brought one of those Flash speed mops ? I brought one a month ago with the idea that I can use it for a quick clean with in between a 'proper clean with the good old fashioned mop and bucket. I still haven't made up my mind as to whether I think I like it
We used to have a steam floor cleaner but it was big and heavy to use so we sold it
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

                        Good morning everyone.

Oh that's disappointing Nan2. I'm sure GD will be over as soon as she's next free.
                        Look after your shoulder Lizzie!
Fingers crossed the start of the patio work goes well today Daisy.

This morning I am going over to Argos to collect GS1's Christmas present. It is within a Sainsbury's store so I will do some shopping while I'm there.
Quiz tonight, I set all the questions yesterday.
This afternoon I may continue my ongoing wardrobe sorting task!

                        Have a good day ladies.

                          Good morning ladies .

Mimi i have had both the steam mop and the flash ones , I find they just move the muck around , I went back to Mop and Bucket ,
As you say the steam mops can be heavy and they don't get into the corners , The Flash mop does do that at least and ok for quick jobs i suppose
Wish I could get down on my knees these days but I cant , I much prefer hand washing the floors but have to go by the old knees don't you , If they say no then mop it is

Daisy hope the Patio man makes a good start , just as well you remembered the caravan before J went to DS's

Lizzie hope neighbour gets some answers from Dr today it must have been so scary , how you feeling today ? xx

Nanto shame she cant come but at least you have a cooked chicken for another day

Nothing planned for today , Put a dark wash on and we may get out into the garden clear more leaves or we may not depending how I feel about it

Have a good day ladies xxx

                            Hello Oma and Mimi!

I like my steam mop, but I don't have Oma's high standards

Not yet 9am and I have done a fair bit of festive shopping (M&S online! )

Oma, I am feeling much better thanks. I can't get down on my poor old knee's either, oh to be able to get down and clean the floor!!!!!

I have decided to hang the curtains between the kitchen and the room, I used to do it every winter, then when I am settled in an evening it is much easier to keep warm in here, I haven't bothered for a few years but came across them yesterday so I will hang them up again.

Gem, I am going to the pool later and that always helps my shoulder improve.
