Good morning, Gem, I have no idea what WWE is, I shall take a look. Oh, I have never heard of that! Enjoy your busy day.

I have been to the gym, I prefer going early, the same people each morning and always someone to chat to. I have been to the Lidl and the market, it is raining at the moment so will see what I do today.

I met my neighbour yesterday, the one with skin cancer, she thanked me for the jacket and asked me to go for coffee with her in the village as a thank you! I told her I will go but that it isn't necessary.

Sunny and cold day here too.
Lizzie, most people really do appreciate kindness I think - and sometimes like to show their thanks

The new house numbers look lovely. Another busy library afternoon. There us a U3A singing group in the adjoining room on alternate Wednesday afternoons. Today was the day We all sing along as we work

Gem, it is nice of her, especially as she is usually so withdrawn. You would enjoy the singalong!

I had a bike ride this afternoon, windy but not as cold as I expected it to be.

I was debating about whether or not to do my kitchen cupboards Nanto but th0ught with it being dry I would have a bike ride instead. I will do them when it rains!

Oma, DD is still looking for her replacement. She was doing one on the phone this afternoon when she was here. Possible, but lives quite a distance away from head office.

Met with Social Worker this morning. She was doing a care assessment for OH. You wouldn't have thought there was anything wrong with him...he answered most of her questions and told her in no uncertain terms that there would have to be a big change in circumstances if they were considering him having care at home. He was very happy where he was, was being well cared for and he certainly didn't want a live in care or them coming in four times a day at home! The only question he faltered on was when he was asked how many children he had.....four or five I think, he answered! Called DD by her proper name, but couldn't remember DS's name. We think he was including SiL and GS in his calculations! Unless it's another family we know nothing about !!! However, she could see how much care he needed and how immobile he is, even though he was quite lucid. We wait to see what level of care, if any is offered.

Tomorrow we have a telephone appointment with Oncology, so we'll see what that brings. It'll also be interesting to see how OH is in himself. We reckoned he'd be asleep all afternoon after the session this morning.

Went and had my booster jab this afternoon, Was amazed at how busy the centre was. They seem to have taken over an empty shop in one of the shopping malls and are using that. Anyway, that's me done. It was the Pfizer vaccine which is what I had before.

DD has gone home, but will hopefully be back at weekend with GS and they'll visit OH.

Hope everyone has a good evening. I'll be watching Shetland...at least I think it's on tonight! xx

I have just given my fridge a good scrub out , cleared everything out and rearrange it all ,
I then did the cupboard under the sink , found some small brushes I bought to get into the overflow to clean ,
I thought I had thrown them out by mistake but they were still in the pack right at the back of the cupboard

B made chicken noodle soup for tea it was delicious

Gem - I agree about ignorance being bliss about WWE, having had a quick look at your link. I've got a mental picture of the library being a sort of indoor, urban Sound of Music scenario with you all singing away with the U3A group, all dressed in matching curtains! t sounds more fun that the oppressive silence that used to be the norm in libraries.

Nanto - I'm glad those empty cupboards aren't going to waste! But you're right and it makes it much easier to get things in and out when there is more room.

Oma - you at least seem to be having a quiet(ish) day with Storm. It won't last, I'm sure. I hope you've now put those little brushes to good use! Haha.

Lizzie - you're an early bird, going to the gym first thing. But it's probably nice seeing many of the same faces each time. Your friend is obviously very pleased with the warm coat. Enjoy having a coffee with her.

WeeGranny - it's not easy to find good staff, so I hope your DD finds the best replacement for herself. It's good that your OH knows what he wants in terms of care. At least you then know how to try and put that in place for him. I'm sure it was good to hear him being so lucid as well. I hope his Social Worker can put the best package together for him. Did he sleep this afternoon? Hoping for good news from the Oncologist tomorrow. It will be nice to see GS with DD at the week-end, and for them to visit your OH.

My OH went out today for coffee and lunch with the pensioner group from work. I usually go with him, but with the twin attractions of French class and dog training, I resisted! We've only got two more weeks of this term for French! Time has flown. Tomorrow is another busy day. The hairdresser is coming at 9 o'clock - I need 3 or 4 inches cutting off my tresses! Then we're collecting some friends at 10 to go on a group walk in the Forest, followed by lunch at a pub. We can take Eva as well, so she'll love that. Then OH is out in the evening - wood turning club - which gives me a chance to get the house sorted out a bit and get ready for Friday. We're going up to DS1's for 2 or 3 days to help put the greenhouse up. I generally hate November as a month, but this year I haven't even had time to notice!!

                    Night, night everyone. xx

Good morning. Doesn't seem to be anything happening with the weather.

We haven't any cakes in,so i think i'll make a lemon drizzle cake.

Good morning Nanto, and all who follow. It's the same here weather-wise, but the sunrise is quite colourful. I hope it stays dry for our walk this morning. Yumm - lemon drizzle cake. I'll be round later.

                        Have a good day everyone.

                          Good morning everyone.

Add me to the list for lemon drizzle cake Nan2
Enjoy your busy day Daisy! Libraries are happy busy hubs of the community these days. Far from the quiet places of years gone by with a librarian saying Shhhhhhhhhhh!
Chicken noodle soup sounds good Oma.
I hope you are feeling OK after your jab WG. We have ours on Saturday.

Another busy day here. How different life is to this time last year! DD2 has a few days off this week (I am very glad. Being self employed she almost never takes any time off, unless they go away) We are meeting for an early lunch in the village. Then I will visit my mum this afternoon. DD3 and SIL are coming to tea. Fish and chips from our award winning chippie. They are veggie, bordering on vegan most of the time, but like to treat themselves to this fish once in a while. Saves us cooking so no arguments here!

Have a good day ladies, and keep warm.

Good morning everyone, Sunny here, I have just taken some things to the second hand place and it is difficult driving at times with the very low sun. I found the roads very quiet, people are being recommended to work from home, yet again. I have washing hung out and expect it will dry.

Gem, libraries have never been "quiet" here, I can remember going into town with my father when the boys were small, we went into the library, oh dear, my poor father! He had to keep telling the boys to be quiet and I had to explain to them that was how it was in the libraries in the UK!

Lemon drizzle sounds very good Nanto!

I have a Lidl box this afternoon so will see what veg is in there before I do the shopping. Gym booked for 11-30am.

Daisy, enjoy your walk and the lunch.

WG, it must be so sad for you seeing your OH like that, I expect you sat there wanting to answer for him.

Good Morning everyone, Oma the sound of Chicken noodle soup is very inviting I haven't made it for quite a while I just may make it this week.
Problems here with my laptop it is taking ages to load up pages that I want to view I think it needs a good clear out of the memory so will get DGS to look at it for me at the week-end when he calls to do the garden.

I'm also clearing out my kitchen cupboards today ready for the stuff I will need for xmas, there must be stuff under the sink cupboard that I have forgotten about lurking at the back.

It has been decided that Christmas day will be spent at DD's partners house this year with her taking over the cooking for the first time I usually do it as you all know and it will be a change for me to not be chief cook & bottle washer I will however cook the meats on Christmas Eve & make the first course after that I will be made redundant.

This afternoon I have promised myself that I will attack the ironing basket it is becoming an embarrassment to be honest I have not bothered to much with me being poorly the past few weeks its not difficult stuff mainly bedding and some PJ's so will not take too long to get finished and put away.

I'm off now to get a start on my day and see how far I get I am not going out today as my little DGD comes to visit with my son she sent me a video message that she saw me in my car yesterday when she was out with her mummy and couldn't understand why I couldn't just stop and say hello so will have to explain to her when she arrives that I was at traffic lights and couldn't just pop out of my car and say hi .

Back later maybe depends on the ironing progress x

My plans have changed, GD1 phoned to say she is coming and fancies doing some baking, so, I cancelled the gym, I may go later but I will enjoy the visit from GD1!!
