Good Morning ladies , I also have the flash mop its OK but I think it leaves the floors wet and I go over with my dry mop i use it mainly on my kitchen floor,I also can't get down to wash the floor you would never get me up again.

A nice dry day here today this afternoon I am off to get my booster jab at a clinic not too far away it is right next to Aldi so I feel a little shopping spree on the cards I need to top up on sauces such as apple/mint/horseradish/mustard etc and pick up a couple of steaks for the freezer.

My two GGC's have become the owners of 2 x guinea pigs they are just delighted having their own little pets to look after the family lost their beloved dog earlier in the year and they where heart broken as you would expect but with mum & dad both working full time it was wrong to get a new puppy or dog with them being out all day,so they decided on guinea pigs !! they will get the experience of caring for their own little friends.

The fireworks have all stopped thank goodness I don't dislike them but the ones that sound like incendiary devices should be banned imo the poor animals must be terrified,Oliver has taken up residence in the bathroom sink he has slept there for the past 5 nights he seems comfy enough but he has a nice posh fleece which he never uses.

Today I feel so much better still got a slight cough but the aches and pains and tiredness has gone it has been a long haul but light at the end of the tunnel thank goodness.

Off now to get showered after doing my quick flick through with a duster and mop getting sorted to go out later to the clinic.x
    Bye for now x
    Keep Calm,You're Fabulous

Glamm good to hear you feel well enough to get some shopping in ,

My DD had a cat many years ago that slept in the sink , she even found him sleeping in a empty fish tank despite having lovely beds scattered around

The GGC will love guinea pigs they are very vocal and friendly

Lizzie if the curtains keep the room warm I would put them up too , Im thinking of getting a door curtain for my front door our hall way gets very cold .

Oh dear, all this talk of cleaning hard floors! Our kitchen floor is very good at not showing marks, but I know it really needs a good down on your knees scrub! I can kneel down ok, and even get up again, but I can't stay kneeling since I hurst my knee a couple of months ago. I use a wet mop and bucket with Flash, or steam it. Sometimes OH does it, which is much better!

Glamm - I really like guinea pigs - I think they make lovely pets, and I'm sure your GGC's will enjoy caring for them.

I've spent the morning baking, but my arm's hurting now so I'm going to have a rest.

Rest that arm now Daisy then!

No mixed fruit in Sainsbury's for our Christmas cake I already had most of the ingredients in but do need dried fruit. I got some glace cherries today and will look locally for dried fruit, our smaller Sainsbury's may have some. I want to make our Christmas cake this week.
I did get OH and I a Lindt Advent calendar to share though

Gem - it will be easier if you can get mixed fruit, but I usually keep raisins, sultanas and currents separately, and just mix them if I necessary. I keep little tubs of candied peel, chopped ginger and glacé cherries as well. Do you take turns to open the Advent calendar - and eat the choc?

                    Oh dear Lizzie!

Daisy, yes if needs be I will get separate dried fruits. All they had today was sultanas.
Yes, we take turns to open a window and eat the chocolate!

No advent calendars here now all the children have left home. I suppose I could buy myself one.

Love Guinea Pigs, prefer three to hamsters.

Glamm, pleased to hear you are feeling so much better, keep warm

                        Lizzie,fancy forgetting your bathing suit.

I tend to use an ordinary mop and bucket now for washing floors.
That way i can give it a bit more oomph.
Sometimes i do use the steam cleaner.
Until a couple of weeks ago,i had a Flash spray and clean mop,but it broke.

Gem,i don't buy mixed fruit,as neither of us like candied peel.
I buy seperate bags of currant, raisins and sultanas.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

                            Good morning ladies.

Well Nan2, my OH dislikes candied peel (but never notices it in my cakes!) so perhaps I should do the same as you.

A bright day here. OH off to the golf course.
I am going over to check on my mum's house this morning. I will go to Tesco on the way back to look for dried fruit!
GS1 from school this afternoon, then to martial arts class.

                            Have a good day everyone.
