Good morning, a lovely day here, I have washed sheets etc and they are drying in the sun, I want to go for a bike ride so will go when I have had my coffee. I have just treated myself to new (bamboo) washing pegs, how exciting. Later I am going to sew a new peg bag for myself. I haven't a drier so still hang it all out on the line. When GD2 stayed here the other week she asked where my drier was.

GD2 is on her way to her school camp now, they are away for 3 days, I think she will settle now when it gets to bedtime. She phoned me this morning and was excited about going.

Oma, enjoy the visit to your sister, is she local?

I called at a friends yesterday afternoon, a young couple, I met the friend last week and he was telling me that his wife had been in the hospital but was home again so I called in to see her. She had her gall? removed a few years ago but apparently when that happens something can cause an infection on the pancreas, that is what she had, she said the pain was unbearable, she had been for a few scans but they couldn't see anything so now they did an echrschopy ? if that is what it is called, going through her throat and they sorted a few things out. I hope she doesn't get it again.

Daisy, don't do too much carrying etc, let them men do that, says me that never listens to advice.

I am giving myself kicks up the #### every morning. Get myself sorted out, yet again, I am sticking to way of eating, I won't say diet as I will have to stick to this, it is working so some of my clothes will be able to fit again and I can get that sorted out, I have just sorted earrings out etc and will wear different ones instead of the same old ones every day, I even have a necklace (chain) on, I was at the friends the other morning, the one with dementia, I admired her chain, she told me she bought it when they were in Indonesia, it was really nice, I thought to myself if she can smarted herself up then I can as well. I have so many lovely chains and necklaces, so, I just need to wear them.

Gem, your SIL will appreciate being able to work from your house.

I will go and get on the bike.

      Have a nice day everyone.

Looks like another lovely day, I am not doing any work and later I am going to see Dil for a coffee, it is her birthday today. I expect I will see DS and G/Sons. GGD1 will be next door so I hope to see her too. It was her 2nd birthday yesterday. Oma I caught a huge spider yesterday evening in a duster and put him out, I expect he will be back in again. No splatting in this house, well there might be if he keeps coming back.

Lizzie, like you I tend to wear the same necklace, to be honest I don’t change it because I find the claps difficult to do up now, varifocals don’t help.

Oma, have a lovely time visiting your sister, perhaps if you sit outside or have windows and doors open, mixing with your niece will not be a risk.

Gemini, pleased the signed contract is with your solicitors, hope it will not be long before completion. I am sure your Sil will be grateful for the use of your room.

Oma, it will be lovely to see your sister
Lizzie, I hope your GD enjoys her camp. I'm sure she will.
I agree with you, if we make an effort we feel better. In Lockdown I started to wear 'nicer' clothes to sit around at home in, rather than the usual stay at home things.
I hope your DIL has a lovely birthday Plant.

SIL is upstairs now with a coffee and our new WiFi code!
I think OH will drive him back to collect his car later as it's probably a 15 minute walk to the garage.

Nanto, the bamboo pegs were the only ones available!

Plant, I can still fasten most of my necklaces, I just need to do it more often. It works as I met my friend who I go swimming with, she asked where I was going all dressed up! Necklace and lipstick

A very quick hello from me to everyone. What a beautiful day it is here.

I've started French classes this morning, and it's a tight turn round to get to dog training this afternoon. I'll be back later, I just wanted to say 'hello'.

Well it was a very emotional visit with my sister Gladys to begin with, lots of Hugs kisses and tears , then we had the biggest laughs ever ,
I came home and had to to take headache tablets my head and jaws were killing all the laughing and smiling we did ,

My two Nieces still live at home they are 43 & 48 , the old maids of the village but two of the funniest women you could meet ,
                  Honestly they are hysterical .
Such a shame they don't have children they would have made wonderful mothers ,

At one point I couldn't breath and thought I would wet myself .

My sister and myself hung onto each other for ages I couldn't let her go .
I realised how much I had missed her , she is 78 next month I am hoping we can get back to see her for her Birthday , she isn't in great health , it worries me not being able to see her as often ,

That is a nice photo, can’t see much likeness, perhaps the nose. Would love to see my sister, I have to get someone to drive me now. I am sure you had a lot to catch up on.

                          Bonjour Daisy

Lovely photo Oma , I'm sure that visit did you so much good.
Plant I hope you do get to see your sister again before too long.

Busy afternoon at the library, but as there were two volunteers, we got everything done and left just after 3.
                          Lovely sunny day!

Just catching up on your busy days! Except Nanto, who seems to have had a more relaxing day.

Plant - happy birthday to your DIL. It sounds as though she's had a good day , and probably the whole family is i birthday mode after GGD1's yesterday - time does fly. I hope you can get to see your sister soon - it would be wonderful for both of you.

Lizzie - you're really pushing the boat out - bamboo clothes pegs and planning to make a new peg bag. I do hope GD enjoys her residential trip - I'm sure she'll have lots to tell you when she comes home. I find it all too easy to slouch around the house in whatever is comfortable, but I've started making more effort generally and especially when I'm going out. The only trouble is if I need to wear a mask I hate it smudging my lipstick or foundation, but I look very pale without a bit of slap on!

Oma - what an emotional, but happy day for you and your big sister. Two years is a long time, and I can imagine all the tears, hugs and laughs you must have shared today. I love the photo, and how funny that you colour co-ordinated. You chose the same sunny colour because you both felt so happy. xx Your nieces must put a smile on lots of people's faces - it's great to have people like that in your lives, isn't it.

Gem - I hope your SIL2 got lots of work done in the peace and quiet of your house. Was his car ok? How did OH get on at the dentist? It was a good job there were 2 volunteers at the library if you were very busy. At least the time didn't drag.

Dog training was really enjoyable this afternoon. Eva was more relaxed than last week, and we played some of her favourite games, ending with flyball which is the best!
