Oma, pleased you did get some sleep, I didn’t sleep well last night and would have gone on sleeping when I eventually dropped off but I had set an alarm as I needed to be up early. Would love to see Storm searching for his treats.

Gem sorry to hear that the house sale is taking so long it's a good job the solicitor isn't within easy reach of you ! Hope it gets sorted very soon.

The knock on effect of the new covid strain is beginning to take effect here. Our dentist appointments for a check up for myself and OH which were due tomorrow have been cancelled. Only emergency appointments are being accepted. Got my fingers crossed that my hairdresser doesn't cancel next week.
It's all so depressing.

I have to ask myself, how can anyone injure themselves just by getting out of bed and stretching? Well, yours truly did this morning, I seem to have pulled a muscle under my shoulder blade. It hurts every time I take a breath in . Things like this never happened in my younger days!

It's a dull over cast day here but still mild.

Must go and have a look to see what we can have for lunch.

Daisy it is my solicitor I am especially cross with. She hasn't passed things from the buyers solicitors on to me when she should have. These solicitors who deal with property were recommend to us by the estate agents 🤔

I have my new glasses. When I was out I posted the Christmas cards from my mum to several of her neighbours.

No PCR results back yet for GS1 or SIL2.

The results came in mid afternoon. Both negative thank goodness! GS is sad because today he missed going to a Christmas play with his class, and the choir tonight. At least the pantomime and other things he is looking forward to will be back on .
The planned lunch at DD2's tomorrow with mum can take place now SIL is negative.

Daisy you are busy stuffing meals in your freezer, what sort of meals do you find freeze better than others.

Poor B, what a time to get a cold, there are lots doing the rounds, hope he isn’t too poorly.

I went to the chemist to get the new treatment for my phoriosis and they only had two of the 4 items. Popped into WI, nice relaxed meeting, then on to dentist. Finished up doing a big shop in Waitrose after I had my lunch in a very nice cafe opposite. Came home just in time to see my two little darling GGD’s who were next door.

I feel much better than I did this time yesterday. All the solicitor stuff was stressing me plus worries about SIL and GS1's PCR tests.
All the rising covid cases are very worrying, but we have had our jabs, we are careful and life has to go on. No point worrying ourselves sick is is?

Nanto - well done to your clever OH getting the new radiator installed and working. But still lucky it was quite mild today.

Gem - what good news that GS1 and SIL are both negative, although I feel sorry that GS1 missed out on some of the fun. Thank goodness your Mum's outing can go ahead. I think Plant is being realistic - the estate agents get a kick back from the solicitors. Perhaps threatening to withhold the commission you will have to pay the estate agents would get them moving. (I'm not serious about that, but it's a thought!) Are your new glasses ok?

Mimi - ouch. that sounds painful, and quite undeserved. Stretching is good (I thought). I do hope it eases off soon. I never know whether heat packs or ice packs are better, but I'm finding ice packs are much better for my arm. Did you find something for lunch?

Oma - poor B getting a cold just before Christmas. I hope you're giving him lots of TLC. Please give him a hug from me. xx Did Storm have a good day?

Plant - you have had a busy day, but lovely to see your lovely little GGDs when you got home. xx I'd be interested to know how the psoriasis treatment goes. My OH gets odd patches from time to time but just leaves it to go better on its own - he hated the tar-like stuff they used to use, and hasn't accepted that there are now better things available.

I've made curries and some minced beef which I can turn into whatever is needed on the day. I'm no expert - I just bung things in the freezer, but I suppose it's mostly slow-cooked meat dishes in some kind of sauce or gravy. I've also frozen half of the mince pies I made yesterday - although I'll definitely have to do some more as the ones I left out of the freezer seem to have disappeared! I ran out of time this lunch-time, so tomorrow I'll make another cake to freeze and some soup.

I'm quite shocked at how many cases of Covid there seem to be now. It's OH's Wood Turning Club Christmas meeting tomorrow and OH is seriously thinking of giving it a miss. We should have gone to a social evening with lots of our neighbours tonight, but we pulled out, and so did over half of the 73 people due to go. I think a lot of people don't want to risk getting it just before Christmas.

We up having hot drinks , B quite bunged up so it’s keeping him awake .
We have done two covid tests just to make sure but it’s definitely a cold not COVID .

Daisy that’s a lot of cooking but when your having family to stay it helps To get ahead and always have something to pull out of the freezer doesn’t it xx

Storm spent most of the day in the garden watching next doors cats over the fence .

He was quite put out by me keep kissing him , he had a Bath and groom on Monday and he smells lovely and is so fluffy , 😂😂😂
