Hello, everyone. I'm too late for 'good morning' again!

Glamm - you're doing the right thing staying home, even though it's a lovely day. You must be needing to rest with falling asleep like that. I'm sure your GGD's mum and dad as well as her nursery school will thank you for not exposing her to possible germs. There's so much going round at the moment, isn't there. I wonder whose food the rogue cat is eating now!

Plant - what a pity about no more aqua until the new year, but it's good to know they are committed to running the leisure centre at a time when a lot of pools are being shut down permanently. I hope you're having a rest this afternoon.

Gem - isn't it great to see old friends again after so long! I'm glad you had such a good time, as well as getting some new recruits to your quiz group. If you've got the same weather as us, it will be a great day to be out on the golf course - I hope S enjoys it. I also hope you're enjoying your 'day off' as well. Did you get the shopping you wanted?

Lizzie - did it stay dry for your trip to the hospital? I hope the appointment/treatment went well. x

Oma - it doesn't matter how old your children are, there's always a need for mum/dad's taxi! Will your SIL have his van customised with the business name, logo etc?

Nanto - I'm so pleased your slightly late anniversary meal was so enjoyable. You've had a sad, busy and worrying time just lately, and I'm sure you needed a nice night out.

It's a lovely day here now. The sun is shining out of a bright blue sky although it's only 13C. We had an amazing walk in the Forest with Eva - I'll write about it on her thread (New Member of the Family), but it was chilly to start with. We had a large conifer tree trimmed down a bit some months ago, but it is still looking awful with branches hanging down too low and partially blocking the footpath, so we've just a tree surgeon round for a quote to remove it. OH is going to the wood turning club tonight and taking two possible new recruits with him, so I cooked dinner for lunch-time, and now feel too full to do anything! A good excuse to spend some time chatting on here.

Daisy I think he is thinking of one of those big magnetic signs rather than painted directly on the van ,
That way it can be removed and put on any other van they get saving money

He hopes to get it Tomorrow or Monday , its less than a year old comes with two year warranty and all bells and whistles ,
He is very excited Kid with a new toy comes to mind

Has the new patio man started yet ?

I decided not to go to Aldi ( talked myself out of it!)
          We can go tomorrow morning.

Our neighbour came round for something, and instead of continuing to chat on the doorstep I invited him on for a cuppa. He works from home, and is studying for a degree. His girlfriend is back out at work every day now, and I think he is a bit lonely!

Oma - I wondered if he was perhaps getting the van 'wrapped' because there are such eye-catching designs available quite cheaply. I do hope it arrives tomorrow though. All those bells and whistles will make travelling around a lot pleasanter and more comfortable.

Gem - I can always talk myself out of shopping! I'm sure your neighbour was glad of a break from working or studying at home - it can get lonely, I'm sure.

Our New Patio Man hasn't started yet, although he's delivered materials and done the levels. Once he starts it should only be a few days' work, and it would be nice to get it finished before the winter sets in. We've got new garden furniture arriving tomorrow, but the cover doesn't arrive until next week, so we're not quite sure what we're going to do with it - it will probably have to go in the dining room!

Might be the best place Daisy till you have a clean area to put it and protective covers ,
To be honest I don't think SIL has thought of the wrap , I will mention it to him its a good idea

Aww Gem that was nice of you he will have appreciated the company I bet

Had MIL out for tea then to Morrisons , she was very good tonight and a pleasure to be out with for a change

Oma - how nice to take MIL out and enjoy her company. Do you think she's mellowing a bit?

I've seen some gorgeous, eye-catching 'wraps' on vans and I think they are relatively cheap, and very effective advertising as well.

Good morning, Oma, good luck with the mammogram, awful things! Oma, I am pleased your MIL can enjoy herself.

Daisy, you will love your new garden furniture in your dining room!

I went to the hospital, it is half term here and not busy on the metro at all. We still have to wear masks in the public transport, I put one in my pocket only to discover the elastic was broke, I managed to repair it so I could wear it. The test they did shows the bladder is fine, only the nerves on the lining of the bladder, they can't measure those, that could be why I never completely empty my bladder, that is the main cause of the cystitis so I am now having to use a catheter a few times a day and see if that helps stop the infection, I have done it before so I know how to do it. I don't mind doing it if it helps.

I went to DS2 for lunch on Wednesday, DIL still hasn't full recovered from the flu but she is working again, from home. I enjoyed the lunch, they have had sun panels fitted on the roof of the garage and a friend was there on Monday to help DS2 saw the tops of trees to let the light get through, it has made a lot of difference and they have logs for years to come! DS1 and family are going there for lunch today so they will enjoy that.

                            Good morning everyone.

Oh that is good news about your BIL sounding brighter Nan2.

How nice that tea with MIL went well Oma. Good that you get your mammogram over early in the day. I may borrow your no bra tip when I go for mine in January, As you say, no one knows under your coat!

Lizzie I think Glamma and Qwerty (who left us a while ago) have experience of that catheterization. Good to know the bladder is fine though.

This morning we will go to Aldi, as I couldn't be bothered to go yesterday! This afternoon we will visit my mum.
                            Bright but chilly here.

                            Have a good day ladies.

Lizzie, I hope you get some relief from your cystitis now. You must be relieved your bladder is okay. I hope your Dil will better soon, there are so many viruses doing the rounds.

Daisy, I hope the Patio Man makes a start soon, it will be very smart with the new furniture.

Oma, are you going to the hospital for your mammogram or a mobile unit? I haven’t had a mammogram for years.

Nanto, pleased to hear your Bil was sounding brighter, it will take time.

Thanks Plant, yes pleased the bladder was ok, I will see how this works.

Gem, I had to use a catheter years ago, had the same nurse as I had yesterday, she was telling me she has been there 28 years now.

Enjoy the visit to your mum this afternoon.
