    Morning ladies
Had Storm for a walk seen to cats and did Storm and myself some toast , D&J are picking him up at 11 to take to theirs till Sunday ,
B wants to decorate the sitting room tomorrow then all the house is done so Storm being out of the way will help .

WG I agree with Daisy you have had such a lot going on and haven’t had time for yourself , no the wonder your not feeling right , a bit pampering is what you deserve xx

Gem how was your Sister ? Did your Mum know you were going to visit her , although she most likely forgot as soon as you told her bless her .

Nanto the sun is out here but that wind is cold ,

Daisy the day never goes as planned does it , you had a busy day 😁

    hope everyone is well ,

DD face timed yesterday they having a wonderful time .

I was in the shower this morning and B shouted up is the dog in there with you , what’s he barking at .

Well for one Storm doesn’t bark and as the shower was going I didn’t hear it .
I turned the shower off and yes he was barking ,
went into our room he was jumping around the bed barking and growling at himself in the wardrobe mirror the stupid dog 😂😂
I think in 7 years we could count on one hand how many times he has barked ,
Had to re make the bed he had made such a mess jumping at his reflection .

      Good morning ladies.

WG, as Daisy says you have been through some challenging life events recently, any one of which woudl throw a person off kilter. You are a strong woman and are doing incredibly well. take advantage of anything which will make you feel better. If you are not in the 'can't stand my feet being touched' group, I recommend some reflexology. So relaxing and will help with everything. Great news about DS!

Daisy, I would have chosen the coffee with a friend over freezer defrosting too!

Glamma, not dippy at all, when we don't don't things regularly we all forget how to do them! We are here to be asked

Nan2, I hope things are as well as can be at your GD's scan. How many weeks to go now?

Nan2 my sister is 63, and yes she has a sweet tooth Daisy. Unlike me however she can easily push away food when she doesn't feel like it (and is and always has been tiny)

Sunny with a very cool breeze here this morning.
Today I am going on a picnic (with my jacket!) It is the Jubilee celebration at GS2's school, as they will be on half term holiday all next week. We are to meet at 12 and bring our own picnic and chairs. DD is kindly providing the picnic. I am bringing the chairs
The children will join us, then afterwards we go into school for some sort of performance, and that is all I know. We can take them home slightly early this afternoon.
GD is having a sleepover with her school friend so GS is having one with us, then mum and dad can go out.
We have a friend coming over to have fish and chips with us this evening, so a busy Friday.

        Hello Oma
I didn't tell mum I was going to see my sister but when OH and I see mum on Sunday I will tell her I have been, which will please her. I always tell her when I have visited or phoned up about my sister.
My sister was OK I think. I didn't see her walk but they say that is almost back to normal. She needed two of them to help her walk when she came out of hospital. She can walk well unaided normally.
        How funny about Storm

WG, sorry to hear you are not feeling quite right as you put it. It isn’t surprising really, things have changed greatly in your life. Pleased that you have found a good doctors practice, is it the one at the bottom of the hill? Give me a ring if you need some time-out.

Echocardiogram went okay but I came home and my neck was aching, I had a headache, the wind was blowing a hoolie so I decided not to go to bowls. I watched some tennis instead, then I went into the sunroom and fell asleep.

Oma, when your dear husband has finished your decorating (Iam sure it isn’t very long ago he decorated the Lounge) I could do with my kitchen was decorated. Storm certainly saw off that intruder on your bed, good for him.

I will pop back later, face time with GD and baby H

Good morning everyone. The sun is shining and no rain forecast for today!

My DS1 is meeting up with some friends for lunch (in Winchester, I think), so DIL is dropping him off and coming to us for her lunch. We can do some more party planning for DS's birthday.

We were up early for the Sainsbury's delivery and I dithered so much doing the order last night I haven't actually got anything easy for lunch! I'll have to think of something quickly!

I'll catch up with everyone later. xx

Good morning everyone, Daisy, I do use the same pattern for the skirts, I can always make something different from the same pattern.

Gem, enjoy the picnic, I have just been for treatment and it was quite chilly on the bike.

Oma, I can just picture Storm barking at his reflection, when our apartments were renovated I had a dog, they removed the railings of the gallery and placed glass, the first few weeks I took him out in the dark he would growl all the time at the "other" dog reflected in the glass.

He has been a god send with it this time , I have felt a bit useless but I’m getting my energy back now right at the end of it 😁

Gem have a lovely time at the picnic ,

Lizzie do you feel any better after treatment ?

Daisy I’m sure whatever you make DIL will enjoy it , hope you sort DS birthday out 😁

Sun is shining, I had a really good night's sleep and all is well with the world! Thank you for all your kind words, I do appreciate you all!

Daisy, DS will just be back for a holiday and I don't think it will be an extended one like last year when his Dad was ill. But it will be lovely to show him the new house. I don't think he'll ever come back to live in this country, but you never know......I'm not building my hopes up though!

Plant, yes it is the surgery at the bottom of the hill! I could walk there, but the long uphill climb on the way back doesn't fill me with glee!

Went to help at coffee morning. The organiser had left a cake with the other helper. I had a look at it and there were holes in the wrapping ( it was a Tesco loaf cake) and when we looked more closely, bits of the cake had been nibbled!!! She'd left it on the other helper's doorstep, so something must have got in and had a nibble or three! Needless to say, we didn't use it! I popped to the shop for another one and met SiL in there getting a coffee! Very strange to meet a family member in the local shop. Anyway he's coming round with his drill tonight to do something for me, not sure what yet! There weren't many at coffee, but we had a lovely chat and I found out about some of the other people there which is always nice.

Am expecting a parcel this afternoon and while I was out, got a text to say someone had tried to deliver a parcel, but as I wasn't at home, could I contact this web site to rearrange delivery. I'm going to wait to se if anything arrives this afternoon before I do. You can't be too careful these days can you? It could well be a scam and I don't want my identity compromised.

Off to finish planting the things I bought last weekend while the sun is still shining. Enjoy the rest of the day Ladies xx

Oma, my arms and legs feel lighter! Plus we always have a good chat.

WG, I wouldn't fancy a piece of cake that had been nibbled at! Mind you, years ago without all the fridges etc etc I expect it did happen and we are still here.

I don't know how it works with parcels in the UK getting delivered.

Oma, can't help but laugh about Storm.

Gem, hope you all enjoyed the picnic.

Had plenty of sunshine, but a cold wind has been blowing all day.

GD2 saw the consultant this morning.
His kidneys haven't got any worse over the past month,so they have decided not to deliver him early.
Femur still short, but it has grown a bit. He's still a bit under weight, but is growing.
Gem, she is due in 5 weeks.

                            Good morning everyone.
Nan2, its good news that they are not wanting to deliver the baby early now, and I hope all is good with him once you are all welcoming him into the world. I wonder if he or my GC4 will arrive first?

The Jubilee celebration was lovely. Picnic on the school field then each class performed something 'loosely' connected with royalty! GS2's class recited a poem called Elizabeth which was very good. Whilst waving flags they had made
Every child was given Jubilee mug, provided by the parish council, and a medallion on ribbon provided by the PTA.
GS was very good on his sleepover, but woke too early this morning! He is not the early waking GS.
Not sure what time DD is picking him up but we are not rushing off anywhere. We need to collect something from M &S and go to a garden centre for bedding plants at some point today. Also buy my mums Jubilee room decorations as we are going to see her tomorrow.

Happy Saturday ladies. I hope all are well.

My OH used to love pontefract cakes Nanto. Enjoy your day.

It is my DS and Dil’s 30th wedding anniversary party today and I have made loads of blinis. I haven’t decorated them, I will do it there. It looks like being a sunny day, DD and sil are going on holiday today so they are going to pop in with a present and take me plus blinis and I will get a lift back later with GD. My sil still has his arm in a splint, it is going to be a long job apparently. As he does all the hedge cutting and grass cutting we will have to find someone to help.

I will pop back this evening to read how your days went.

Good morning, Nanto, lets hope all goes well with the baby!xxx

Gem, you would enjoy the picnic at the school and GS sleepover.

                                Oma, you are so busy!

I went to friends yesterday afternoon for a chat, he is a friend of DS2 and I have known them for years. He lived here in the flat with his first wife and children, then they got a divorce and he re-married, they have 2 sons and all 4 of the children get on really well together, the eldest now living their own lives. In fact, his second wife has done really well with all the children, plus the granddaughter from the eldest son.

I have been for a walk and got my washing hung out, I want to go to the shop in the village for lamp chops to grill in the air fryer. That is my weekend treat! Oh, and I have a Lidl box to pick up this afternoon.
