Lovely to be part if such a close family Oma. Love Storm’s breakfast.

I am expecting a grocery delivery between 1 and 2pm I will put boxes outside my door and get them to put the items in there. I am not sure if I am still positive but as my DD was still testing positive yesterday and I am a day or so behind her I don’t think I will be negative yet and I have run out of kits. Sil is still negative. I will not make a craft group tomorrow morning but fingers crossed I might make a coffee morning at the Golf Club with WI on Wednesday. I am feeling so much better, might have sa go on the bunting I am making for WI Jubilee party.

Will pop back later, must get dressed

Good Monday morning everyone. It's wet and dismal here but due to brighten up later.

Nanto - sorry to hear about your GD2. I hope it doesn't make her too ill.

Oma - a sad happy day, remembering your brother on his birthday. Good that you have had a chat with all his children - I'm sure it makes you all feel closer. Storm really is one spoiled doggy.

Plant - it sounds as though you are feeling a bit better, but do still get plenty of rest - the tiredness keeps coming back and washing over you. I do hope you're ok for your WI coffee morning on Wednesday.

Gem - still keeping everything crossed for you. Where are you flying from?

I want to get on with sorting out the dining room this morning - we've finally got the corner unit furniture out in the garden so I can start putting the dining room back together, including my art table which I haven't been able to get at for a couple of weeks.

Eva is due for her booster jab this afternoon (doggy ailments, not Covid!!) but she was sick in the night. It's very unusual for her. So I've given her half her breakfast. She didn't want what I'd defrosted so I gave her a half portion of lamb tripe which she gobbled up. If she's ok I'll give her the other half and still go to the vets. If she's sick again, I'll postpone it. OH is off to Screwfix then coming back and carrying on with sanding the hall floor. It's taking much longer than we expected, but he's doing a good job!

Off for a shower - back later.

Good morning, cold, wet and very windy here, a gust of wind almost blew me off the bike near the sport school, I managed to stop, there was a car next to me as well, so, I will walk that part when there is a strong wind.

Gem, fingers crossed for you all.xxx Plant good to see you are feeling better.

Oma, your brother would have been my age, I will be 74 next month.

I am going to the pool in the car, the 2 neighbours will go with me, not the weather to go on our bikes.

Daisy, I hope that Eva is feeling better for her booster!

Good Monday Morning ladies I've caught up on everything after being away for a few days.
My friend came to stay on Wednesday and we have certainly had a good few days catching up with everything, remembering all the things we did years ago when she stayed with us before moving to London and working at M&S Marble Arch for 20+ years.
My friend is very much into DIY and fitted my new loo seat for me and fitted the new cat flap in the kitchen door she is just so hands on.
Thursday I was expecting my little DGD but DS1 phoned to say she had chicken pocks she spoke on the phone and told me she had a big spot on the end of her nose ??? she sounded well enough in herself but DS1 said she was sleeping alot more than usual.

Thursday afternoon friend and I went to a local bistro a place I had never been to before and tucked away in a courtyard next to a Hotel in New Brighton, what a delight it was the food was outstanding it only had 10/12 tables and the furnishing where all art deco it is only open 5 days a week from 12 noon until 8pm when talking to the waitress she said they where booked up every night after 5pm until end of May its so good to hear of local business doing so well.

Gems are the children asking "how many sleeps" you will have a fab time I'm sure it has been a long time coming .
I have paid the balance for my holiday in June just last week its the third time it has been booked I won't believe it until I am on the plane and strapped in ready for takeoff.
DD has been browsing wedding venues for late next year she is deciding either LVegas or Majorca so a big difference as to where she wants to go,I don't mind as long as she is happy and I get to buy a new hat.
Talking of hats DD is going to a small shop in Newton le Willows to pick up her hat for Lady's Day at Aintree on Friday she has decided to hire one rather than buy its only £35 for the day but to buy one similar is over £100 she is collecting this evening and will pop in and show me.

Take care everyone talk soon. xx glamma xx

Glamma, your friend sounds like my OH and Lizzie, very handy and can tackle most things I had heard that chickenpox is on the rounds.

I hope you enjoyed the pool Lizzie.

Daisy we fly from Manchester. Luckily we all booked Express Line passes some times ago, as the reports of queues are horrendous. I hope Eva is OK now.

Good to hear you are on the mend Plant

Well, I cant go to see my mum today, as the home is still closed to visitors I thought that as she is now negative I could take her out in the car, but the rules say residents can't go out. I could have a garden visit but mum has always hated those and the weather isn't good enough anyway.
As we will be away on holiday on Sunday the manager is going to make an exception and I can go in and see my mum on Thursday.

OH and I have had a mercy dash over to DD3 with our spare key, as she lost her key on her morning walk! It's a 10 to 15 minute drive. I pointed out it won't be so easy once they move into the country! She said she will have to bury a key in the garden when they move !

Glamm sounds like you have had a lovely visit with your friend and she did some DIY for you , a bonus😁.

Plant good to here your feeling better , fingers crossed this time next week you will be back to normal going out and about xx

Gem a shame about visiting your Mum but at least you can see her before you go
Just as well you had a spare key for DD

Had to go pick GS up from college, he has pulled a muscle in his back and was in agony ,
Brought him home and put a hot water bottle on his back , fed him Bacon sandwiches and he has just gone home with DD .

He is off to London on Friday to stay with his uncle till Monday ,(His Dads brother ) hope it’s eased by then .

Oma, poor GS. He must be in a lot of pain. I hope it’s better for Friday.

Gem, it’s so easy to mislay keys. I’ve left mone in the ignition twice today and wondered wh6 they weren’t in my pocket! I’m glad you’ll be able to avoid the queues at Manchester. I was imagining all sorts of things. Thank goodness you will be able to see your Mum before you go.

Glamm, what a clever friend being able to fix things. That bistro was a good find! I hope your little one isn’t too poorly with Chickenpox.

Nanto, pleased to hear GD2 is feeling better.

Eva is fine, thank you all for asking. She was just a bit sick in the night and was already booked in for her booster jab. I didn’t want her to have it though if she had a definite tummy upset. But she’s been ok and sat nicely while the vet did her injection!

Its been one one of those days today where messages and phone calls have been non-stop and we haven’t done many of the jobs on our list! Never mind. Just having a cuppa and then we’ll get on with things.

Oma, your poor GD, the hubby of the friend I swim with has a bad back, he is in so much pain, he hasn't slept for 3 weeks! He has an hernia? It is the man I got the wine for, he was delighted with it, I told him I am delighted with the iPhone.!

It was quite busy at the pool, more seem to return each week.

Gem, DS1 was here the other day and we were only talking about how he used to lose keys! He did as well, we had bushes down in the park and he only had to run through them and that was the key lost! DS2 never did lose them though

                          Good morning everyone.

Oma, poor GS, I hope he is in less pain today.
I'm glad Eva got over her sickness Daisy.

Just GS1 from school today. He's not going to martial arts. I had said long ago I wouldn't take him this week if he was going, but DD didn't want to risk it anyway so close to us flying. Golf for OH, and I want a few things from Wilko, so will be there fully masked and going through the self check outs!

Friends J and JT who didn't in the end make it here on Sunday night are coming for a catch up this evening.

                          Happy Tuesday ladies.

                                Morning all.

I hope all those feeling under the weather are feeling better today.

Yesterday I picked up my new glasses. They are oval shaped with very light pink frames which is unusual for me as I generally have a bright colour. I am regretting my choice at the moment as I think that they make me look very pale and 'drained ' but OH likes them but that's not much of a compliment as his idea of style and fashion is somewhat lacking.
I suppose I will get used to them eventually. At least I can read small print a little better now.... Every cloud!

When I arrived back home OH was unpacking a Buddha garden ornament for me! He brought it in the hope that along with the birds , tinkling bells and the quiet space n our a garden it might relax me a little. He has placed it on the gravel border facing the kitchen window. It sits in front of a large planter that has a climbing honeysuckle plant in it along with lots of daffodils.

Oma has your GS tried one of those pads that you put on your back to help relive pain . Hope he is feeling better today.

I see Glamm mentioned 'how many sleeps till " , well youngest GS ( aged 5) asked DD a few weeksago"how many sleeps till Christmas " 😲

Eldest DS popping by for lunch today and younger DS will be coming over to put up a plaque with our home number on the wall outside but he won't come when his brother is here . Things never improve with my family 😢

Bring me sunshine in your smile.
