Good Morning everyone, what a beautiful day here the sun shining & a slight breeze I have been outside and watered my hanging baskets early,I glanced at my bedroom wall clock and thought it said 7.45am so got up put on kettle for first cuppa of the day spoke to Alexa for Radio Merseyside then the news came on and said it was only 6am so all tiding up has been done very early indeed.

I was expecting my DD to collect my youngest GGS for the day and come here for a few hours but his mummy has messaged and said he has the start of Chickenpox poor little man,his elder sister had it when they where on holiday 10 days ago so it was only a matter of time.

Gemini I was tempted to buy some French Marigolds for my outdoor front pots yesterday but thought with me going away soon they would not get watered and I would come back to very sad looking pots is end of June too late to plant bedding plants ?

I'm now looking forward to a quiet day no visitors expected as yet but that could change if any of my adult DGCs happen to be passing and feel a bit hungry they think nothing of dropping in to see whats on offer at nana's.

Enjoy the rest of the day xx glamma xx

Good morning everyone. It's bright and sunny here, and I need to get some washing on.

I'll pop back later to catch up.

Fell asleep when I got back from DS and Dil’s 30th wedding Anniversary party. It was lovely to see all DS’s rugby friends now in their 60’s. Lots of lovely banter, I am sure I fed most of them from time to time. I got quite cold, came home changed, got warm and fell asleep. Baby H and her daddy not well, they have tummy upsets, just seen baby H on face time she was not well. I hope everyone is enjoying the sunshine.

Gem, i've got a feeling your GC4 will come first.Ours will probably think he's comfy and want to stay where he is.

We had a lovely day in Pontefract. There is a lovely baby stall in the market.
Bought a moses basket we knew GD1 wanted and a few other bits and bobs.
She had loads of smaller baby clothes so i got a bigger size.
Popped into Morrisons to use the loos and bought some more baby bits that i will take for the baby shower.

Plant, hope baby H and her daddy are both feeling better soon.

I'm glad you enjoyed the celebrations Plant. I hope baby H and her daddy are better soon.

I hope your GGS is not too poorly with the chickenpox Glamna .

Lizzie, lamb chops are one of my favourites.

No Jubilee decorations to be had for mum's room. We looked in several shops.
We bought some summer bedding and a lupin and a couple of delphiniums, and a lovely dark cala lily which took OH's eye .
When we came home we had tea and scones in the garden.

Good morning, damp and drizzly here at the moment. Nanto, I was at a store in the village yesterday and saw they have lovely baby clothes, they always have there though. There was a "gender party"? down in the park here yesterday, everything turned out pink! I don't know what they do to announce the birth in the UK at the moment, here I see washing lines in the gardens with either pink of blue baby clothes hanging out.

Oma, you deserve a break, where are you going? I was lucky with the weather whilst away as it has been much colder these last few days. You will be looking forward to the new baby arriving this week. Exciting!

I won't bother with a walk, damp at the moment, maybe later but I like the early morning walks.

Sunny with a bit of a breeze.

Lizzie, they have gender reveal parties here. Some burst balloons and see what colour comes out.
Some have cakes with blue or pink inside.

Not doing anything special today.A few housework jobs to do,thats all.

                    Good morning

Lizzie, the cafe owner at DD's baby shower was saying they had hosted a few Gender Reveal parties. Sometimes as Nan2 says, pink or blue inside cakes. She said that had done one where everyone has a chocolate bomb to put in hot milk for hot chocolate and that had pink or blue inside! I couldn't really picture that I must say.
Not everyone does gender reveal in any sort of public way but and just tell their friends and family.

Oma, I'm very glad you have break booked, you need more of them. So does Daisy!

We are going to see my mum this afternoon. We may take a cool bag and ice blocks and do some shopping on the way. We can't go afterwards as shops close early on Sundays.
                    Happy Sunday everyone.

Good Sunday morning everyone. I'm struggling to keep up with everyone at the moment. Perhaps Gem is right - I do need a break! Time just disappeared yesterday and there's a growing pile of ironing.

We're trying very hard to get the garden finished before DS1's birthday at the end of June and I suppose it's a sign of getting older that after a few hours hard work (hard to me!) in the garden I don't feel like doing much else except get a meal. But OH has cleaned the outside of the caravan - it took 2 days! - so a spring clean inside and it's ready to go. We'll try and get a few days before the birthday party.

Oma - I'm sure your little holiday will do you good as well. I bet you can't wait.

It's so exciting that babies will be arriving any day soon. I hope everything goes well for them and their mummies.

I have just been to the shop, DS1 phoned so I stopped for a chat, it was soooooo cold! He told me it was 9 degrees, it felt like it as well. I am home now and got myself warmed up.

Daisy, I do hope that caravan will be on the road soon.

Oma, pleased you have fixed a holiday, you too need a break.

I wonder what time the Anniversary party finished, they must be exhausted, they had been working on the food for days, and the small garden looked lovely. Dil and DS with input from their boys decided to have the garden paved with grey slate like looking slabs with just a long middle bed. Dil and I visited Dobbies and gradually filled the long bed with special plants which are just maturing. They have bifold doors from the kitchen/diner and the sitting room which are both at the back. Dil has a lovely taste and works so hard.
Baby H and her daddy are better today, GD1 is bringing her up here later.

Will be thinking of the babies arriving soon. Love new babies.
