Plant - you and I are so lucky that we generally sleep well. I know it's not the case for a lot of our friends on here. I hope you enjoyed your bowls afternoon.

Gem - I've been trying to work out how you can get a photo of your back tooth as well! I hope it encourages your dentist to give you an appointment. Our dentist is back to regular checkups, but hygienist is still having to use old-fashioned scraping methods rather than the water jets she usually (or used to) use.

I still feel slightly guilty about lie-ins. It seems most of the world is made up of larks, and I'm definitely an owl!!

I'd missed the first Call the Midwife - I'll watch it on catch up though. OH records so many programmes I rarely get a chance to record and then watch something, but my computer screen is really good so I don't mind using that.

Cats seem to love sleeping in unusual places don't they.

Glamm - I do hope your DD's first day back at work went ok for her. Her grown-up children sound very sensible and responsible, but how lovely that they still love Nana's Scouse. How lovely to be thinking about a wedding, and you must be pleased that her OH makes her happy. Enjoy your all singing, all dancing phone when it arrives.

Off to get dinner. OH is out tonight so I need to get my skates on!

I think you did the best thing taking your Dads bench , you would of always regretted leaving it , the sentimental value means everything doesn't it .

Gem, yes, that bench is special and it would be awful to leave it behind to someone who would have no idea of the sentimental value to your family. Glad the dentist appointment is so quick, and good timing, too. I think if you have things every other week it's easy to get confused about which week is which. But then, I'm not doing the work setting questions which can't be an easy job!

The bar stools look nice, Oma, and comfortable, too. I hope they arrive ok. Stock levels of all sorts of things seem short at the moment. I've just ordered some tubes of acrylic paints and nearly every colour said things like "Last one" or "only 2 in stock"! The order's gone through, so hopefully I'll get them ok.

Plant - hard to believe baby H will be one tomorrow. How that time's flown. Poor GD1 being at work though. I know H won't know it's her birthday, but her mum will.

Good Morning ladies,Daisy I am always awake about 6ish and after a trip to the bathroom curl up again for what I intend to be an hour which never works I always sleep over until about 9ish or even later I used to feel guilty about a lie in but not now I have no where special to go of a morning.

Oma I thought of you last night when watching ex-pats in Dubai one lady had a whole dressing room full of the most fabulous designer handbags they where amazing I love to see how the other half live.

Sending birthday hugs to Plants GGD H it has gone so fast since she arrived how wonderful.Plenty of excuses for tea and cake I think.

Oma I love the bar stools I hope you are pleased with them when they arrive.Lots of items are out of stock at the moment I have been trying to get the Lion Face Toy Box made by Habitat for my little GD but it has been out of stock since before xmas its still advertised on TV which doesn't help matters.

Its rather cold here today and I am wearing my big fleece hooded dressing gown and have no intention of getting changes anytime soon I hope no one calls until it has warmed up a few degrees.

Good morning, Glamm and everyone who drops in during the day.

Glamm - I'm glad I'm not the only one who sleeps in. Do you still have breakfast if you sleep late? I usually just have a cup of coffee and then an early lunch. I know I shouldn't feel guilty about it, but it also makes the day feel very short, especially when it's still dark most of the time. Your dressing gown feels very cosy.

I'm just off to collect Cooper for a few hours. We'll take him and Eva to the paddock later and then take him back home about lunch time. It saves me having to do the return trip in the dark, and with the current road closures it's very busy.

Plant - happy birthday to little H. I bet she will get spoilt, even though mummy is at work.

GD1 at work but Harriet is with her daddy today, no doubt he will take her to see his family and they are coming here after GD1 returns from work but it will be near to her bedtime so they will not stay long. My DD would like to have a small party for her at the weekend.
A word of warning to you all! Little rodents like food bin liners. I opened the drawer to get a bin liner and found that a small creature had helped themselves to nearly all of a roll of liners. Sil checked for me to make sure it wasn’t still in there, he said they had the same problem with their bin under the sink, the plastic hanging over the edge had bee chewed through. I believe they are made of potato starch. Needless to say, the liners will not go back in the drawer which is under the draining board on an outside wall and it must have squeezed past the pipe work. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

Plant - little rodents aren't fussy, are they! When we first got our new kitchen we kept getting mice in the cupboard where we kept cereals, biscuits etc. It was the same side as the sink and dish washer so I think they must have got in around the pipes somehow. I hate killing anything, but really didn't fancy sharing my cornflakes with our little visitors. We swapped things round and put nothing but plates and dishes in that cupboard and moved the cereals to another cupboard on a different wall. It worked a treat - we have never had any more invaders (touch wood).

Gem - I hope the dentist can do your tooth properly today so you don't have to go back later. I bet GS1 loves you going to watch his martial arts class.

Oma - I'm sure you could set a new fashion with a hair style like that! Well done on having a lie-in.

Nanto - the colour of your graphic looks very like the Pantone Colour of the Year. I'll see if I can find a sample.

Lizzie - you must be very fed up with your lockdown.

When I picked Cooper up this morning their neighbour was just getting in his car. We stopped to say 'hello' etc and he could hardly talk. His wife is Russian and she happened to be visiting Russia when the first lockdown started. She hasn't been able to get home since then and he's spent so much time alone he feels his brain and his voice don't co-ordinate properly.
