Good morning. I don't think its too cold.

      Going to dads this morning.

GD2 and her hubby are coming later today, to deliver presents. Their presents are all ready.
Its GD's last weekend off work, until the new year.

Dinner today is homemade chips, scampi and garden peas.

      Don't forget the advent calendar.

Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

Good morning everyone, I was shattered after all my decorating and lifting but recovered after a good nights sleep, I have been to the Lidl and going to the gym at 10am, physio later as my arm\shoulder is giving me @@@@! Just the new lamp for the bedroom being delivered today then I will be finished.

My friend from up here came last night, they are going to Spain on Tuesday and need to get all their papers, codes etc sorted out, the problem is they are all in English which isn't very handy if you don't speak English. I suppose it is an improvement on Spanish!

Gem, I am pleased it all went well for you and your mum.xx I am pleased with the rug, lovely warm colours.

Now for me to rest and enjoy it all, I did get to the library yesterday afternoon, a car was blown up with a firework bomb at the other side of the village, late Wednesday evening, 4 others were badly damaged, apparently the "bomb" was thrown out of a car and the police were out in full force at the houses near the library to see if anyone had seen the car or anything.

Good morning Lizzie, Nan2 and ladies.
          Very foggy here.

GD will need to make the most of her last weekend off Nan2.
How alarming about that bomb Lizzie. I hope the physio helps with your arm.

Today we are going to see the friends we went to lunch with a couple of weeks ago to deliver their presents. They gave us our presents at that time but we were not that organised! Hopefully we will stay for coffee with them.
We may call into Aldi on the way back as we pass it. Depending how busy it looks. I have the last little tree to decorate today, OH will put the lighted garland on the stairs then I think we are done with decorating!

          Have a good day everyone.

                Morning Oma
I hope your neighbour makes a good recovery , and B feels better soon.

I forgot to say that GS1 was at the hospital yesterday! He managed to slam his fingers in the car door Thank goodness nothing is broken, just badly bruised. He quite enjoyed the whole X Ray procedure apparently and is looking forward to the glory of it all at school today

Was on my way to Waitrose yesterday afternoon and half-way there I realised I hadn’t got my handbag over my shoulder so came back and delivered some local cards. Free day today, I intend to have a go at finishing my Christmas table runner. GD1 has tonsillitis now, I think she must be a bit run down. I am going to be extra careful again now the infection figures are rising. Bowls was cancelled yesterday, I don’t have any more meetings before Christmas. I have been feeling slightly sick after my breakfast for some time so I am trying an alternative to cows milk for my breakfast cereal and tea. So far so good.

I seem to have missed the post from Clover, I hope she is well.

Lizzie, your neighbours must be pleased to have you to translate for them. Should you be going to keep fit with your arm so painful. That was very worrying about that bomb, I hope nobody was injured.

Oma, very upsetting for your neighbours to have to part at the hospital when she was feeling so nervous about the op.

Plant, I know what to do at they gym with the shoulder, I have known a long time that it is worn out, or as he kindly put it " you can compare your shoulder to that of a builder"!!! Usually it is no bother, it was yesterday. I hope your GD1 is soon feeling better.

Oma, it took me 3 days to do the cupboard, very neat and bright it is now!

Gem, your poor GS1, that can be painful. I will see what the physio can do. It is so painful at times.

Oma, I hope that your neighbour is soon home, is her DH allowed to visit her?? I think they will catch whoever threw the bomb! No one was hurt.

Hello everyone. Too late to say 'good morning'!

Lizzie - your poor shoulder. I hope it's less painful now. How dreadful about that bomb - it makes you feel you're not safe going out. Well done on getting your cupboard finished, and I do love your rug. It looks warm and cosy and I like the colours. How nice to be able to translate for your neighbours.

Gem - did you enjoy seeing your friends this morning? Poor GS1 - he's really in the wars with one thing and another. I hope the bruising goes down in time for him to open his Christmas presents. Well done on getting your Christmas decorations all done.

Plant - it's annoying when you forget your handbag, isn't it. But better leaving it at home than in a shop. I do hope you get that table runner finished today - you'll be so pleased, and relieved too, I should think. Any news about your dermatology appointment yet? Poor GD1, she does sound run down, but she's had a busy year with baby H, the wedding, going back to work plus Covid restrictions and everything else.

Oma - thank goodness B tested negative, although he sounds as though he needs lots of pampering to help him feel better. I had to smile at the picture of you in your Eric Morecambe glasses. If the arm isn't actually broken it could be put back on. I'm glad you neighbour's hysterectomy is over and done with, and hope she soon feels better. It must have been awful for her OH leaving her at the door. I remember this time last year when my friend M had a mastectomy. I couldn't even park near the door at the hospital and had to just stop at the kerb to let her out. She looked so small and lonely walking across the forecourt all on her own. It seems so unkind.

Nanto - I could do justice to scampi and homemade chips right now! How was your FIL this morning?

Unusual for me, but I was wide awake at 5.30 this morning, so got up and started doing odd jobs! I cleaned out and tidied the spices and herbs cupboard, and threw out a few out of date items - the oldest was 5 years OOD.

I put some washing on, opened and checked a load of presents I'd ordered from Amazon which came yesterday. Cleaned a couple of kitchen cupboards. Ordered a few bits and pieces from Superdrug. Is there any more annoying website than theirs! Sorted out all the bits of paper and notes on my desk and put odds and ends out for recycling. Checked the Sainsbury's order and had to smile that they had put in a soap dish instead of a tooth mug. They also kindly substituted a white cabbage instead of the red one I'd ordered. In addition to the white one I had actually ordered! Hoovered the kitchen and hall, and am now going to make lunch!

                          And have a sit down!

We are going to our friends this afternoon. I have been finishing off the Christmas decorations this morning.

Goodness Daisy, don’t make a habit of doing an Oma but what a list you got done. I expect your brain is working overtime with your Christmas arrangements looming.

I made a trip to the surgery to check on the list of treatment for my phoriosis, I am sure there are two things missing not one as the chemist says. They are going to leave a note for the doctor when she is in on Monday. The wart like lump on the back of my hand is very painful, I keep knocking it. I am expecting a call from a plastic surgeon next wed, anytime in the morning. Spent quite a time on the table runner today, just made a mistake so it is time to stop. My machine doesn’t like the thickness of the wadding now I am quilting it.

Daisy, I haven’t checked the Christmas presents, good idea. Must start to get them wrapped. I see lots of coleslaw being made in your house Daisy.

Gemini, your poor GS, a bruised nail is very painful, he will be showing it off at school.

                              Jane, loving your watercolours,

Oh dear Lizzie to be told you have the shoulder of a builder, I hope you don’t have the muscles of a builder.

Plant, not the muscles, just the shoulder!!! I cried all the way home after he had told me that!
