Glamm and Plant - our posts all crossed.

Glamm, I can imagine how exciting it was to see the three Queens in the Mersey. I've seen them in Southampton, but you would feel so much closer to them from New Brighton. I know there are hundreds/thousands of cruise ships, but to see those 3 together is still special and a bit emotional.

Plant - your DD is certainly going to be busy this week-end. Baby H is doing well with cutting her first tooth. I hope they all come through as easily.

Im just waiting for DD to bring my shopping over then a friend is coming for coffee. It’s been funny weather here, sunny, showery, windy....a bit of everything. But not hot thank goodness.

Lizzie, my neighbour has a cuckoo clock, if the doors and windows are open I can hear it. At least if I’m in the garden I know what the time it! But pleased I can’t hear it indoors.

Hairdresser day of us both Nan2! I bet you are missing having a chat with someone different.

Hairdresser gone, OH gone for a day of golf.
This afternoon I am visiting my mum. I have some fun sizes chocolate bars for her, and I will be telling her that we are taking her to the coast next Friday

Good morning ladies , all busy today ,
Daisy/Glamm we have seen the three Queens in port on several occasions , we once seen them all leave one after the other and they blasted their horns in sinc wow what a sight and sound

Been to Aldi this morning that's all away chicken and meat vacuumed and in freezer , Flowers arranged in vase , well plonked in anyway

Nice day and warm but not too hot just nice ,

What a night we had ,
Went up to bed and walked into wet room to a flooded floor , a small ornamental life ring I have had on the wall for at least 4 years had fallen off hit the radiator valve jammed behind it and some how turned the valve on flooding the wet room ,
No reason for it to fall off the wall its on a secure hook , hook still on wall
Luckily the water was draining to the central drain so once the valve was sorted just mopped the floor dry .

Then I got back up at 2.30 to hear running water , thought oh no its happened again ,
No this time it was the toilet cistern constantly filling ,
B was last in the bathroom at 11pm flushed the loo and hadn't noticed the push flush button had jammed on so it had been constantly running for 3.1/2 hours .

I couldn't release the button myself my fingers wouldn't grip so I had to wake B to get up and fix it ,
Ended up having to come downstairs for his tool kit to get something to lever it out

By then we were wide awake so had a cupper and chatted till just before 5am then went back to bed for 2 hours .

It must have wasted gallons of water , we are on a meter but lucky for us because of his disabilities our water rates are capped or it would have been a huge bill coming in .

He is now busy putting a new door number sign up , drilling for the screws fingers crossed he doesn't hit anything

Gem - I hope your mum enjoys her chocolate, and will be pleased about the day out soon. At long last! You must be so pleased.

Oma - it's never boring in your house, is it! Goodness me - I thought I'd had a weird day yesterday, but at least all the gremlins sleep through the night in our house! I hope tonight is more peaceful, and drier! The new door sign is lovely - no wonder B's pleased with it. I'm glad the house is still standing! (Only joking, Mr O!) The three Queens together are quite impressive, aren't they.

Enfys - I hope you're having a lovely morning with your friend. It is funny weather - it's quite chilly here. I love to see cuckoo clocks, but I don't think I'd want one in the house.

We saw the three queens in the Caribbean, i think it was in the Bahamas.
Also saw 3 Disney ships in British Virgin Isles. Fantastic when they did a sail away.
Certainly made a noise with horns blaring. It was lovely to see.

This morning it was lovely and warm. Turned cool now with a bit of light rain.

Nanto the sail away horns are good anyway but as you know the three together my goodness hahaha

Gem can you remember those tiny little bars of Cadbury's chocolates you could buy like mini bars , sometimes you got them in a chocolate machine .
My MIL likes the fun size she says it means she isn't tempted to eat too many but she does .
Hope your Mum was excited about going to the coast next week xxx

Daisy I always wanted a real Cuckoo clock when I was young , your clock is lovely and so are the chimes .

Lizzie I have been meaning to ask ,did you get your new sleeves and stockings ? my friend is having two weeks of daily bandaging as she is having a lot of problems at the minute so cant wear her stockings x

A sunny afternoon turned into a cool and drizzly early evening. I hope OH has kept dry!
I love those little bars Oma!

Mum was pleased about the coast trip, and and the chocolate. We had a nice chat for an hour or so. She was tearful when I left though. The heartbreaking thing is she was hiding it, but I heard her voice break as she said goodbye. I went back in and gave her a kiss and cuddle. I hope it was just me leaving and she was fine afterwards. She didn't sleep well last night so maybe just tired.

OH will be back any time so I will be hearing all about the day.
