Good morning all. Very breezy and sunny here at the moment but rain forecast later.

My gardener came yesterday, she worked so hard in all the drizzle. Luckily our green waste bin was collected on Monday, I was getting concerned but it was only delayed by just over a week.

Ive been having problems with my side/hip for the past couple of weeks. Very painful to walk but ok when sitting down. I decided yesterday to take some of the pain killers my doctor gave me for another problem I’d had and to rest instead of trying to walk through the pain. By last night it was so much better so I think it might have been a muscle problem. Taken another pill today and will not be tempted to try and do too much today. If it comes back I’ll ring the doc.

no real plans today, SIL is home today so no Dexter. Out to lunch with friends tomorrow.

Yesterdaynimsigned up to do a couple of online courses with Future Learn. I’ve done about 3 with thEm before and found it really interesting. I might write about it in another thread.

Have a good day everyone, 🌞

Good Morning ladies I have enjoyed reading everyones news .
Oma the tale of the cat reminds me of my Oliver who strolls across the front gardens outside and when my neighbour opens her front door he invites himself indoors takes a peek as to what her cats have on offer to eat then exits via the back door into my back garden to see what I have left out for him !! he is so cheeky.

I go this Friday for another visit to the eye clinic for the laser treatment to the right eye this time I have also had the date for the next injection to the left eye (9th August) I wonder when the treatment is finished if I will need new reading glasses ?

It is raining here today coming down in stair-rods and rumberlings of thunder in the distance I just managed to get my line washing in before it was soaked again.at least my water butt will be refilled from the overrun off the roof saved me carrying a watering can from back to front of house.the butt is at the side of the bungalow filling up from the gutter overflow when it rains so hard like this,

my friend is coming to stay tomorrow until Sunday she lives in Liverpool so she will come over on the train to New Brighton where I shall meet her I have booked a little Bistro for our lunch and we can do a catch up and people watch,we may take a trip to Chester on Saturday if the weather is good and dry.I fancy a trip on The River Dee in one of the small pleasure boats which includes afternoon tea.

It looks like I am going to be housebound today with the rain being so bad I;m still not driving anywhere due to blurred vision so not taking any chances if the rain goes off I may take the bus as I need a few things before my friend arrives tomorrow .Unfortunatly the rain looks as if it here for the day.

Enjoy the rest of the day everyone x

Oma, hope your neighbour is on the mend now. Its good one of the DIL's is going to keep popping in.
Wood is expensive, hubby being saying it for the past few years, but he likes working with wood.

Gem, hope you get to knock off at 4.

Plant, lovely for you to have visitors.

Lizzie, thats a lot Ebikes that have been stolen.

WeeGranny, hope you are home from the hospital now.

After the rain this morning, the sun came out about 91sh. 1'oclock we had a thunderstorm or i should say hailstone storm. 2 hours later we could still here the thunder rumbling in the distance.

            Good afternoon.
Nan2, someone else had volunteered, so I did get to leave at 4
How lovely to see the old friends Plant.
WG, you must be sick of hospital trips xx
Lizzie, it's terrible that people steal these things.
I hope that pain eases off soon Enfys. Maybe take the painkillers for a while as Oma suggests.
Roll on having your laser done Glamma! How nice to have your friend stay

Well, I had the most entertaining afternoon at the library!
There is a U3A singing group in the next room now. Lots of loud singing for an hour and a half. We enjoyed it very much. Distracting though. I had some things to count and had to keep starting again. The librarian confessed she gave them to me as she had the same problem
We also had a terrible storm. Thunder, lightening and hailstones!! I could see my car across the car park, with deep water in between us, and me of course shod in flipflops!! Fortunately by the time I left the rain had stopped and only a few puddles remained.
The Summer Reading Challenge has begun and I had packs to count and two children to start on their challenge. It really frees up the librarians if volunteers can work with the children on these, especially later when it is a matter of listening to them talk about their reads.
The librarian had been given a Bettys fruit cake, so we had tea and cake in a quiet spell. A very nice afternoon, and I didn't get wet

OH's golf competition was cancelled so she was home when I got in.
We have just had another torrential downpour, and now the sun is out again!

It's been a busy old day for me, and I've only just got round to reading everyone's news, and now I'm too tired to comment properly! I didn't even have chance to put up a happy 18th birthday message for our GS1 until just now.

It's stayed fine for us, although quite blustery. We had coffee in the garden, despite the occasional gusts. The other two couples were meeting for the first time, and it was great. They had lots to talk about and before we knew it it was 2 pm! I'm just so pleased that they got on so well, and one couple is new to the village and have been finding it hard to meet people. Then we had a quick lunch and both of us were really tired. OH had a bowl to finish before it's collected tomorrow so he did that and I tried to catch up on two days of chaos from having the children and an extra dog. Got some dinner ready and then after that took Eva for a walk. It's definitely bed time as tomorrow's another busy day. We have visitors in the morning and are going on an organised walk in the afternoon - followed by a cream tea. Everything happens at once!

Things will be back to normal next week - I think.

Daisy, that was busy day for you.
Its good that everyone got on with each other.

Don't think much is happening here for us today.

Busy busy lady Daisy and another today. Enjoy your walk today and the cream tea.

Outdoor bowls for me today unless we have rain, sunny atm.

                  Will look in again later.

Good morning Plant, Nanto and kitty-in-a-cup.

It's sunny here at the moment. I hope it doesn't get too hot for our walk this afternoon. OH wants us to take Eva, but I don't want her walking if it's too hot for her.

I'll hopefully get back on here later, but need to get ready for friends coming over for coffee in an hour or so.

                      Good morning my dears!

Oh what a cute kitten Nan2!!
I hope it stays fine for the bowls Plant.
                      Another social whirl day Daisy

I am walking down to the village (unless raining then I will drive!) to meet a friend for lunch and a catch up. That is my only plan for today. I was to have reflexology this morning but my reflexologists (and her mum and sister) are isolating due to covid.
It's windy and cool out at the moment.

                      Happy Wednesday everyone.

Good morning all, very windy here but at least it is sunny. We had one or two heavy showers yesterday, not much really unless you are caught in one!

Enjoy the lunches and visitors everyone. I may get out for a ride. I have just been to the physio, my knee was so bad last week I cried and made an appointment, 2 days later I realised why, I had knelt to put something back in a cupboard. He did a scan and said it is worn, we knew that 10 years ago and he said it isn't any worse than it was then, only, I have to not kneel any more.

We have a mini library in the entrance here and I decided yesterday to sort it out! I now have a box full of books to take to the second hand place, I hope they are still taking them, I have looked on the site and they seem to be still accepting them.
I cleaned the shelves and dusted the books and it looks much neater. I was just talking to our cleaner, 2 Turkish brothers do it and this one was telling me he is trying to find another job, he told me what he earns. Not much at all, especially for all they have to do.

I have my washing out and it is almost dry in the wind.

DS1 got home from Munich yesterday.
