What a good idea Oma, he will not go hungry. I hope he will be feeling better soon.

Busy, busy time for you Daisy but very enjoyable.

Gemini, hope the pain will go now, pain is so tiring.

Glamm, what a bad time you are having with your eyes, hope the medics can help.

My plans went a bit astray today. The cafe was shut and it was raining when I planned to feed the ducks. I have had an inflamed eye for over a week so contacted the surgery. I had to send a pic of my eye, whatever next. The doctor rang shortly after, asked me a few questions and thought it might be an infection so prescribed some drops which I collected from the chemist and said to let them know how it is on Thursday.

Oma - it's good to see GS1 has got his appetite back, even if he hasn't got much sense of taste. I love the cat flap delivery!

Plant - the best laid plans ... what a shame. I wonder when the doctors are going back to actually seeing their patients - fancy having to send a photo of your eye. When you think how they'd examine your eye in the surgery a selfie on your phone won't give anywhere near as much detail. I hope the drops work ok, but if they don't your doc really should see you and double check.

Gem - how has your (almost) relaxing day gone? I hope the ABs have started to work.

It's been very showery here today, but my SIL and I managed to take Eva into the Forest for an hour this afternoon. She found lots of cooling mud for her paws, so I stopped at the stream to wash them. The water was running so deep she took one step in and was wet up to her chest. She wasn't happy about that. She will have to have an early walk tomorrow before we go out.

I'm not used to all this gallivanting - it's quite tiring.

Night, night everyone - sleep well. I hope all the poorly people are feeling better tomorrow. xx

A nice bright morning. Yesterday was a day of sun and showers.
It was quite cool so we put the heating on yesterday evening.

Gem, hope you are in less pain today.
Plant, hope the drops work for your eye.

Daisy, after this week you will need a holiday.

            Good morning everyone.

I love the sunshine graphic Nan2, not sure if we will see the real thing today!
Oma, I like the cat flap food delivery service! I hope your GS isn't feeling any worse today.
I hope your eye improves soon Plant.
Daisy, I'm sure all this activity is tiring, none of us are used to it!
My day was fine, thanks for asking. GS1 is always entertaining. OH had a zoom meeting upstairs in the evening. I settled myself on the sofa and watched Bridget Jones Baby on Netflix. A film I wouldn't have bothered to go to the cinema to watch but was fine to fill in an evening at home.

I think the tooth and jaw pain is just taking it's time, I'm sure it will get there. There WILL be a life with no tooth pain ahead!!
Library this afternoon. I think OH and I will go to Aldi for a few things this morning.

Happy Wednesday to one and all

Good morning, at least the wind has dropped here, one #### of a storm yesterday! I hope to get my bike ride in today, having coffee to get me going.

I am pleased your jaw is healing Gem, you will get there, one day! A good idea to go to the Aldi, I may go later on, there is one in the next village.

It would have been my sisters birthday today.

Did I mention that the friend up on this floor, the one that had cancer of the lung, that is all going well but she had an ovary removed last week, it had turned to stone and was solid to remove, it was a big operation, she is home but feels bad, lots of pain but that was to be expected. She can't do anything for at least 6 weeks. They don't think it was cancer but she should get the results soon.

A lady of my age was killed here yesterday, I heard the ambulances etc. They think she felt unwell and pulled into the parking place of the graveyard just behind here, she must have stepped out of the car and stood near the fence, then, her car rolled onto her and she was crushed. What an awful thing to happen. Cheerful this morning!

Gem, I hope you will be free of pain today. You can rely on the GC to cheer you up.

Daisy, lovely having visitors, you will need to rest up when they go. Have a lovely day today.

I have to ring the surgery on Thurs to let the doctor know if my eye is improving or not. The only benefit of this silly system is that you do speak to a doctor the same day you send in the form.

Oma, I hope your GS is feeling better today, at least he feels like eating. How long is the isolation?

Plant, I hope your eye is improving, it is a strange way to get your eye examined.

Daisy, you have had a busy few days.

I phoned my BIL, it would have been my sisters birthday today so he was very upset. He is getting help, someone was phoning him at 12am so I hope it all helps.

As I said at the time my Garmin navigation (cycle) cleared itself with the heat whilst I was away. Both DS's said that is what happens! I have got it to work again, maps etc, records my rides but I couldn't navigate to an address, I looked at all the forums the other day and had a "chat" with a young man in Canada, he said to phone the Dutch office and gave me a number, I have done that, and they gave me instructions to downloads the maps again, so I did as I was told and it works again.

I had a bike ride this morning, I was on a bridge and saw lots of tractors with police escorts, they are protesting in Den Haag about how they are being treated, so many new rules for nitrogen etc etc. It is breaking them! I watched Panorama on the BBC the other evening, 6 months after Brexit and all the businesses that are having to pay so much more for export etc. One man had a shell fish farm in Scotland, loss of exports the first month lost him £90,000! There was a haulage contractor, something to do with festival building, he decided to move most of his business across here, he got it all built up and then he was told he couldn't use his drivers with an UK heavy good license. There is a way around it, his drivers have to go to Ireland to pass a test there, get the Irish heavy goods license and then they are allowed to drive over here. There were more similar cases.

                          Afternoon ladies.
Ever had one of “those” days when it would have been better to stay in bed?😮 I have today!

First did large load of washing- dreaded hidden tissue in pocket! Took ages to shake and hang out.

Went for blood test.Phlebotomist couldn’t understand what test was needed despite consulting computer. Off she went to ask doctor!

Came home and started to rain, got washing in and in to tumble drier, thirty minutes later out comes the sun for the rest of the day!

Neighbours out all morning, wife in hospital ,hubby golfing resulting in two dogs barking ALL morning. They’re not usually left on their own.

Been waiting for occasional rag and bone man for a couple of weeks as I have two rusty bikes I need to get rid of. At last I heard him calling out but as I was hanging out the I’ll-fated clothes by the time I got to the front garden he’d gone!

Went to old spare fridge in garage and door came off in my hand!! It did this last year but SIL fixed it. Wedged in position now which works but just hope I don’t forget!

Just sitting with a cuppa in the house when I felt a tickling on my neck. Eek it was a green beetle type bug the size of my small finger nail,

Worse things happen at sea they say-really pity those sailors😀

A sad day for your family Lizzie. Those firsts are very hard xx
How sad about that poor lady. It reminds me of an incident in York concerning a lady in her 80s a few years ago. She regularly was dropped in town by taxi apparently and picked up again. The taxi driver dropped her at the back of M and S one morning, there was delivery lorry. She didn't hear the reversing bleeping, the lorry driver couldn't see her. She was killed. Shoppers around were traumatised. I think of that whenever I pass that spot.

Today was NOT your day Clover!

Well done getting MIL sorted out Oma.

Busy afternoon at the library. Plenty of shelf filling and a short training course on the summer holiday reading scheme!
The lady who trains hearing dogs for the deaf came in to collect a reservation. The doggie (chocolate poodle) was being a bit naughty today!
