Good morning, Enfys that is a good idea to meet up with the ladies. What a cute dog, it is a shame when the owner dies and the poor dog has lost a home, it sounds as though this one will be happy though.

Nanto, your poor FIL, he (and you) can’t go on like this, he could easily fall and bang his head.

    Plant, enjoy the wedding today.

Oma, don’t mention the Christmas thing, earlier every year.
I am driving home this morning, no bike on the carrier, it has all been arrange so well, they are picking it up here on Thursday, it wasn’t safe to drive home with it. The couple here are amazing, they have been so good, GD1 slept here onThursday and loved the set out for breakfast, we got a bag to take what was over with us so we had a picnic with us. We had a really good bike ride and she loved the Ebike, they had the middle motor that I have my eye on and fantastic to ride, we were out cycling from 10am to 4-30p with one short stop along the way, we must have covered 60+Kms. We had a meal at the camping restaurant before DIL picked her up, DS came as well and he stayed for coffee and a chat enjoying the peace of the garden, the couple came for a chat as well so I had a perfect “nan day”!

There are many growers in this area, orchards etc etc and as GD1 said “onions”!!! We passed fields were they were harvesting them and then tractors would pass us loaded up with the onions, he we heard a tractor coming up we would both say “onions”. GD1 even found a few that had fallen off the tractor. Fresh onions,

GD1 has curly hair, I mean really curly, everywhere you go with her people comment on her curls. I found a shop in Middelburg the other day with everything for curls so I treated her to a few bottles to stop if frizzing etc. we were walking through the town and there was a man doing those sketchings, as we passed he said “ you can be done for free”, GD2 said “ and I would have to pay!!!!

I got to see the boat, very nice, they love it there. I didn’t go climbing about on it with my knee being as it is at the moment.

Good Saturday morning, Nanto. I hope mum and dad are ok this morning. It's ok for the doctor to say the falls are because of his age, but as Lizzie says, he could easily fall and bang his head - or break a bone. Perhaps the nurse can make some suggestions on Monday. Enjoy your shopping.

Lizzie - it sounds as though you've had a lovely break, despite the bike problems. I'm sure your GD1 will find the hair products very useful. I wonder if GD2 wishes her hair was as curly as her sister's. I'm sure curls like that are a mixed blessing, although I've always longed for curly hair myself! It will be fun choosing a new e-bike, even though you weren't looking for one before your other one broke. Safe journey home.

It's raining here, and looking at the forecast it looks like rain for Plant's family today. I do hope it doesn't spoil the celebrations for them.

I'm going to get a few odd jobs done around the house this morning. If it dries up I shall get out in the garden.

        Have a good Saturday everyone.

          Good morning ladies.

Nan2, it's hard for you all with your FIL having these falls. I hope it stays fine in Wakefield.
Daisy all bins and boxes were emptied yesterday and Henry has a lovely new bed. Which he is ignoring. Despite me putting his old blanket on the top to fool him!!
That sounds a good holiday Lizzie. Safe journey home.
Wishing a lovely wedding day for Plant's GD, and the rain to stop and the sun show its face!!

Friends are coming for a takeaway this evening, This is for us to make plans for our canal boat trip in 5 or 6 weeks time.
No other plans today. OH was due to cut the lawn of the house she does gardening jobs for , but I think it's just too wet out there for that.

          Happy Saturday to all.

Very quiet here, apart from the music I am playing. DD bought all the bridesmaids and bride kimono type dressing gowns so they are swanning around in those. GD1 just been here for a shower, she said she is feeling a bit sick and missing her babe. Not leaving before 12.00 so time to kill. My DD cooked a lovely chilli for us all last evening, haven’t seen her dress yet but she is so stylish I am sure it will be lovely. Taxi coming at 1150 for me and the partners of the bridesmaids and a partner of my GS2 as he is an usher.

Nanto, so sorry your fil is having falls, worrying as he might break something, does he walk with a frame? It must be worrying for you and the family.

Oma, enjoy your family get-together, lots of hugs I am sure.

Lizzie so pleased you had a nice holiday in spite of scare with your bike. I always wished I had curly hair.

Thanks all, I am home after a journey of almost 3 hours instead of just over one hour! Silly fools closed a road and the diversion was ####. Sending us through the very busy South Holland islands where all the holiday makers are. I managed to turn back and found a better diversion from that direction, it all went fine, especially when I realised which road I was on, recognised it. I had to go to the toilet of course but knew where the next station was. DS1 is still on the boat so I have phoned him and told him to have a look at Google before he sets off for home.

Daisy, GD2 doesn't miss the curls, has lovely long straight hair, I have always wished for curls, I did have them when I was small, blond, curly hair, that was years ago.

I am looking forward to choosing a new bike out, in fact they have been very royal with the compensation. If that is the word.

I am going to get the first washing in now and sort out, I like to go away but like to get it all away when I arrive home.

Welcome home Lizzie. The diversion must have been a pain but you managed it well. You remember me as a new driver when I think I managed to get lost driving to Hull once

It has actually brightened up a little here and stopped raining.
OH has been ironing, and packing for her trip. I did some cleaning as we are having people inside the house!

thank you, I have the navigation but that doesn't always know about the diversions, I am home and unpacked though. I remember you getting lost on the way to Hull. GD1 and I got 'lost' when we set off on the bikes yesterday, ended up at their boat when the plan had been the other side of the island! Never mind, we got there. DS1 wondered what was happening when he saw GD1 appear.

Speaking of lost things. My reading glasses have been missing for some weeks. I rarely use them now. I don't need them for the laptop and I increase the font on my Kindle so I don't have to wear glasses to read in bed! I occasionally use them to read texts. I do use them for our weekly Whatsapp quiz on the phone though. I have been using some old ones with a missing arm recently! I have to keep my head still or they fall off. I expected them to be in one of my bags but I searched them all, more that once, and no sign. We have searched everywhere including both cars. I have just sat down now with my laptop and distance glasses in case I decide to watch TV. I suddenly saw two pairs of glasses next to me, one of which was the missing reading ones This is the reclining sofa, I don't see how they could have been on here all this time as we sit on it every day, as do the kids, and we always recline it .Spooky.

All was well with mam and dad this morning.
Had a good day in Wakefield.Started raining just as we left the cafe.
Called in at in laws on our way home with some shopping.

Plant, he does have frame to walk with. I got the full story today of what happened yesterday.
He actually fell in the kitchen, but couldn't get up to hold on to
                            the frame.
He had shuffled on his bum from the kitchen to the hall, to shout mam to get some help.
Hope all is going well with the wedding.
