Hello everyone. I'm sorry this is yet another flying visit!

I'm just going to get dinner ready! We've been to OH's niece's for a delicious lunch, plus as always it was great to see her and her OH. I thought we'd all eaten so much nobody would want much more than a sandwich, but they're all hungry. Help! A friend of OH's is coming to watch the football with OH and BIL tonight and SIL and I are going round to his house for a natter with his wife. It's an early start tomorrow as we are now taking Eva to DS2's first thing in the morning and then going on up to DS1's for the day.

Our visitors go home on Friday morning, and I shall have a chance to catch up with everything!

    Love to you all! xx

Clover what a day , go back to bed and get up again my mother used to say

Gem I was talking to a lady in Morrisons today who was filling a book case with donated books that they let people take for a small donation in the charity box ,
I told her about your Mums books she said all Morrisons have these book donation tables or corners , may be worth looking in your local Morrisons to Donate your Mums books xx

Daisy you will be meeting yourself coming back soon have a lovely day tomorrow xxx

Lizzie isnt it good when you can go on line and find someone who can point you in the right direction to get things fixed

When we were on our way to Dalton Park this morning with MIL there was a huge traffic jam and detour of traffic , they had the A19 closed from the Dalton park turn off ,
We have just read that it was due to two cars crashing one had overturned all caused by one of the drivers being drunk ,
This was 10.30 am and this driver was already drunk

Both taken to Hospital but thankfully no serious injury's

This caused chaos on the roads , huge tail backs and diversions , Police blocks and Helicopter call out , whoever this driver is should have the book thrown at him and made to pay the cost

Im not fat just 6ft too small

I agree with you Oma, people like that should pay the costs, drunk at that time in a morning 😟

I am assuming the drunk driver will get done for drink driving.

                Good morning ladies.

Nice bright morning here Nan2. We like to have our breakfast on the patio on warm mornings.
A drunk driver at 10.30 in the morning Oma!!
What a pity you had to cook in the evening Daisy, when a good lunch had been had. I think pizza delivery may have been on the menu were it me! I hope you have a good day at DS1's today.

Did everyone watch the football last night? I wouldn't bother if it was just me, but living with a football fan it's on anyway. At least England won Let's see what Sunday brings.

OH is in an away golf competition today (near Leeds) today, being picked up by her partner soon. I have no plans today. Just me and the cat! I left it free so that I could just rest and hopefully fully recover from all the dental traumas! Last antibiotic this morning.

I hope everyone is well and has a good day.

Gemini, have a nice me day today.

I am not a football fan but I have been drawn in to watching it as England was playing in the semi-final. It is the awful behaviour of some of the football fans that I find disgusting.

All medical for me today, I have a physio ringing me later to talk to me about my clonking neck and I have to phone and let a doctor know how mum eye is, no change there. I see the drops she prescribed are for conjunctivitis, I do not have that. I think there is a very slight improvement. So looking forward to my holiday, we will leave very early on Sat morning. GD1, her husband and baby H are having a lovely time, they are on Walney Island.

Two squirrels woke me up this morning, they had got the lid of a box of seed I keep undercover outside my french window. In doing so they disturbed my fork and spade, such a noise. I am going to remove my three feeds today, the squirrels are such a nuisance. I am sure there is enough food around now for the birds.

Daisy I hope you have a lovely day today, are you going out to celebrate?

Nanto, I can’t remember when I last had a sausage. Love mash and gravy.

Oma, always feels good after a hair cut, hope she cuts it as you like it. Pleased to hear GS is not too poorly with the virus. Hope he was well enough to enjoy the football.

Oh Plant I agree about some of the fans.
And it's strange that in my village we are still walking on the road to avoid others on the same pavement whilst football fans are literally hanging off each other in their joy! I heard this morning that cases are rising much more amongst men. Hmm I wonder why?!
I hope your medical checks go well.
                    You need your holiday

Good morning, I did watch the match, I must say I do not understand it all but I am pleased they won.

DS1 phoned me last night, would I be able to take GD1 and a friend to a theme park? They were going to take them but had busy work meetings, I said I would take them, I picked them up at the school as it is a school outing. It is usually a 30 minute drive but we had to go through a tunnel and there had been an accident, so, it took us a full hour, it was ok coming back, now I pick them up at 4pm, if I had known earlier I would have taken my bike with me and have a ride along the coast.

This was all last minute as DS1 was here at 6pm and I had a bike ride back to their house with him then had a good ride from their house, he didn't mention it then.

Oma, you would enjoy catching up with your brothers wife.

Gem, I enjoy my breakfast sat out on the balcony, we have a lot of oyster catchers flying round at the moment, very noisy and playful.

Plant, I hope your eye is better for you going on holiday. It would be noisy if the squirrels woke you up. I think that birds can survive in the summer without being fed.

I agree with you about the crowds Gem, I read today that we could be back in lockdown next week if the figures continue to rise, that was short lived freedom!!

Lizzie, I rarely watch football, I just ignore it!
What puzzles me is, I thought the idea was to try to get the ball off the other team, with your feet, pass to members of your own team and score goals. Football today seems to consist of deliberately pushing, grabbing and tripping each other up! It so reminds me of the boys in the playground when I worked in primary school.
You are a good Grandma, taking the girls What do they call Grandmas where you live?

I think football has changed over the years Gem, that is my thought anyway!! A Grandma is an Oma(xxxxx) here! It is a school day out, but, they have to find their own way there, if they went on public transport it was almost 90 minutes just to get there, I must say with the traffic it almost took me so long!

Plant GS isnt feeling well today its like a heavy flu at the minute but I think you always feel worse on a morning when you first wake so see how he is later today ,

Hope your Eye clears before you go away , Those Squirrels are naughty , I agree there is plenty this time of year for the birds to feed on ,

Gem enjoy your lovely free day , hope S does well today xxx

Lizzie a busy morning for you .

I sat with my earphones on as I browsed the internet last night , I looked up at the football now and then ,
it really doesn't interest e at all but I don't mind B watching it

I did say to B I wonder how much Covid will spread in the next few days after thousands of supporters together

Im not fat just 6ft too small

I'm enjoying my free day. I treated myself to breakfast in bed with TV, followed by a bath with bath bomb,
I have hung some washing out as it is such a nice day. I have a couple of bedroom drawers I have been meaning to sort out for ages, so that may be a job for this afternoon, listening to the Archers Omnibus on i player.
My tooth is at last starting to feel better. I still feel a bit 'off it' if I do much (hence a lazy day today) so I think there is some residual infection. I have now finished the antibiotics so I hope they have done their job.

Daisy has a busy week. I'm amazed she has checked in with us as much as she has
I think you do feel worse morning and late evening Oma, so hopefully your GS will feel better as the day goes on.

I now have an appt. with a physio when I get back from holiday and tomorrow I have an appt with a real doctor for him to look at my eye. He suggested I went to Oxford eye clinic. I think it is a burst blood vessel in the white of the eye and it will just get better in time.
