Good morning. I overslept, didn’t wake until 9.15!

Glad your face is a bit easier Gem. Hope your appointment with the doctor helps Oma. When I had my bad bouts of vertigo I was advised to sit upright which really helped. If I lie down it makes it worse, might be worth trying, it is awful.

Had a nice surprise yesterday, my friend popped round and we sat in the garden in the sunshine. She often calls in when she’s been to the PO so it was lovely to be able to invite her in.

I must get my act together now, I’m not even dressed yet. No plans, I’ll just go with the flow. Have a good day everyone 🌞

Been to MIL's she was pleased to see us and chatted nicely for about a hour then the moans started , and the job list came out

She had bought a new Blind for the kitchen so B said he would put it up , This was the Blind she has complained about all during lockdown as no one could go to put it up ,

Just about to open it when she said no she has decided she doesn't like the colour so sending it back

She then wanted her Battery changed in fire alarm , got ladders out took cover off batteries out , she hadn't bought new batteries , so old ones put back in till next time .

Could I put new shower curtain up , did that its not hanging right , told her to wait till its had time to hang and get the creases out it will be fine ,

Then she wanted us to call The Range she isn't happy with the new sofas the seat cushions are wrinkling , well yes they are fabric you will get a few wrinkles fabric stretches ,
Then said she had already had someone out to see it they said the same thing so no we not phoning again , and when you leave it the wrinkles come out so its not a problem ,
We knew this would happen .

But all in all she was happy to have us there we even got a hug when we came out

That was a nice day for you yesterday after the funeral was over Plant.
Busy bee Lizzie! I'm so sorry about your friend, not the news she wanted.
Enfys, these little things will brighten our days
Oma, on balance that was a good positive vest, considering she had several weeks of moaning to get in
        What did the Dr say?

A nice visit to my mum, She was thrilled with the eggs, cards and chocolate bunny she got. Someone brought ice lollies round to everyone while I was there and mum loves those so that was nice. Several ladies were sitting in the courtyard with sunhats on, but mum isn't an outdoor person generally.

Another lovely visit to MIL for you.

Went the day well here. Hubby went to see his pal for a couple of hours this morning.
So, i got my jobs done in half the time it takes when hubby is here.
Had something to eat when he came home.
Then out into the garden. Hubby did his bits and bobs,i cut the grass.
I didn't bother with a shower this morning, knowing we were going to be gardening.
So, it was about ¼ to 3 when i got showered.
Then brought towels in off the line.
We've just had a cuppa in the garden with some millionaires shortbread.
Supposed to be turning cool tomorrow,so i've taken some beef casserole out of the freezer for tomorrow.

Lizzie, did you manage to get a bike ride?

I wrote this out earlier, and thought i had posted it,but i must have forgotten to click post reply.

All at once a lot of seem to be busy!

By the time the dog bedding was washed the sun had disappeared, the temperature had dropped several degrees and a sea mist rolled in. I started pruning things in pots before repotting them, but didn't get as much done as I'd hoped. But it was nice to have a cup of tea in the garden with my friend this afternoon. Almost back to normal!

Glamm - just a thought. You were very busy last week - perhaps it's just caught up with you and you need a few easy days.

Oma - I had to smile about your MIL - but at least the first hour was lovely.

Gem, poor you. I hope tomorrow your face will feel more like it usually does. Glad you mum was in good spirits.

Enfys - how lovely to see your friend, and it was such a lovely day yesterday to be sitting out enjoying the sunshine. You must have needed the sleep.

Lizzie - I do hope your friend is ok and she gets the results of the lung biopsy quickly. You did well to get one of the bargain coffee machines.

Plant - how lovely to have a chance to go and see your little GGD - and rounding the evening off with a G&T in the garden.

Nanto - isn't it amazing what you can get done when you have the house to yourself for a bit!

Gemini, I bet your mother was pleased with your visit and her gifts. Hope your face is less sore.

Oma, hope you have been more steady today, I hope the tablets are successful.

GS2 back home today for one night. I am afraid Sil's mother is not at all well and they are not expecting her to get better, she is being treated with end of life care so all the family are arranging visits to see her. He is going to see her tomorrow and then return to London. Very sad for them all.

GGC have just gone home, I think my DD is exhausted, her little GD is into everything and knows what she wants. When we were not looking she went into the utility room and put the cat's dried food into his water bowl and made a nice pudding. Normally she would eat anything but is now getting very picky.
What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare

Good morning everyone, yes Nanto, I went and got the tulips, I got one for DIL as well and took them on my way home, in the afternoon I went for a ride but it was so warm, 27 degrees, I stopped to look at the friends caravan, they were putting the awning on so I helped them with that, too warm though so I came home, with fresh peppers and cucumbers as both her sons are growers, it should be cooler today. She is very positive about her lungs, they have an appointment with the specialist this morning.

Oma, I hope the tablets help, I bet you MIL had a list of all her complaints!!

Plant, it doesn't sound good for you SIL's mother. Your DD will be tired after having the GC.

My friend phoned from Aberdeen yesterday, it was 5 degrees there.

Gem, your mother will enjoy you visiting more often.

Feels cooler this morning and its drizzling a bit.

Gem, pleased you had a lovely visit with your Mum.
Hope your mouth is less sore today.

I've already cleaned the bottom oven and done a bit of tidying round.
Going to change the bedding this morning and get it washed, then clean the bedrooms.
Hubby will be out for an hour this morning,so i'll be able to crack on.

Beef casserole for dinner today.Took it out of the freezer yesterday.
                      Might have dumplings with it.

                        Good morning ladies.

Nan2, I heard on the car radio yesterday that today's temperature is to be half yesterdays! It was 22 degrees when I was driving, I had the air con going!
Your dinner sounds good. I am still on soft foods, I could eat that!
Good to know your friend feels positive Lizzie.

Golf again for OH. My friend M is coming round for coffee this morning. We haven't met up since before Christmas. Coffee in the garden was the plan, but we may move that to conservatory with door open!
I still have a hamster cheek.
This is the first green (garden waste) bin collection of the year. I can see everyone's full bins waiting to be emptied.

Have a good first day of April everyone. I hope no one tricks you!

DS1 going for his first jab today.
Don't know why he is so late because he's 51.
His younger brother had his done 3 or 4 weeks ago.

Good morning everyone. After yesterday's disappointing weather - misty and cool, the sun is having another try today. I hope I can get some gardening done.

We've been having trouble getting the sound right on our new tv so DIL2 is calling round this morning to give us a hand - she's good at that sort of thing - and will bring Cooper for a short play date. Eva's hurt her paw so we don't want her to overdo things, but a bit of time together will do them both good.

Plant - sad news about your SIL's mum, but thank goodness the family are able to visit her. xx Your GGD1 sounds a little pickle, but while she's exploring she's learning! I don't suppose the cat saw it that way, though!

Gem - pleased to hear you're a bit better. Enjoy coffee with your friend.

                            Nanto - dinner sounds delicious.

Lizzie - all the fresh produce sounds lovely. I hope your friend gets good news. xx

I'd better get a move on or DIL will be here before I've had my shower.

Gem, the same here with the temperature, I was going on the bike but had a diversion,I was talking to a friend near my garage, looked up and a young man was getting rid of the fly screens for the windows of the flat that is being renovated, all made to measure, mine are 30 years old and need re-newing, I asked if I could have them, the cheek of it, I have them so will clean them up, the men also helped to fix my bike carrier on the car, it seems to get heavier each year.
