Good Summer-time Sunday morning to everyone.

Nanto - taste of things to come? Relaxing in the sunshine with a glass of bubbly.

Oma - you must have been so pleased to see M and C. Great news to hear that C is looking well. xx

Lizzie - I'm sure your friend will enjoy her caravan break after all that treatment. Your other friend's DD is having a touch time. I hope she comes through it all safely.

Gem - that deck sounds as though it was built to last! Well done to S for getting to grips with it. Enjoy your relaxed day.

I need to spend time in the kitchen today. DS1 and DIL are coming for lunch to celebrate being able to have 6 people in the garden. I thought I'd keep it simple with a cottage pie so I can dish it up in the kitchen. We're out of bread and cakes so I need to bake as well.

Daisy, enjoy your family lunch, first of many I hope.

Lizzie, I hope the sun shines for your friend.

Most of my clocks change themselves, but not my bedroom electric clock, I thought it did so stayed in bed a bit longer than I expected. I just have the heating clock to change. I think I will give the sun room an airing, who knows I might be using it soon.

Oma, how nice for you to have a visit from M and C. How is your balance, when do you talk to a doctor?

Im not too bad thank you Plant , I speak to the Dr on Wednesday about that and have more tests coming back about my white cell count so see what happens with that ,
We spent ages doing our clocks before bed last night then this morning remembered our watches had to be changed

Gem SIL took their Decking out a couple of summers ago it was hard work , theirs stretched across the back of the house , some planks were very rotten but others were a pig to get up .

Daisy enjoy your lunch it will seem very strange

Lizzie that poor girl , life is throwing a lot at that family isnt it .

          Stay safe everyone. xxx

It's not often I get on here before Nanto, but I want to finish off getting lunch ready so I can relax and enjoy seeing DS and DIL later.

Good morning, sunny after a dull, windy and cold day yesterday. I have been to the Lidl and came back and decided to paint 2 concrete plant containers I have on the front, a couple of years ago they were down in the hall for someone to take, as I am an early bird, I saw them and took them, they are very heavy so I had to get a trolley to put them on. Months later a friend came up here, the one with Alzheimers, she told me they were hers and she got them when they lived on Curacau, they lived there a few years, her hubby died whilst they were there, sad, she told me the containers were made by the prisoners on the island so they have a story behind them.

IMG_4245.jpgIMG_4248.jpg Oma, they are off white, whilst in the UK a couple of years ago, at B&Q I discovered paint for outdoors, covers almost any surface, I use it for the potting table and then 2 large pots I had. I will be very upset when the pot is empty! This is before and after. These are not the concrete ones or I would never be able to move them!

A good find Lizzie, you are so enterprising. A very good story behind those pots.

Daisy, I hope the sun shines for your family lunch.

Gemini, I hope the trip to the dentist goes okay and not too expensive.

Nanto, roast dinner today, yum yum. Your OH is a very lucky man.

No real plans for today, I might clean the bathrooms unless anything else takes my fancy.

I'm back, after a very difficult extraction involving two dentists and a stitch
I am told to rest today, so that is exactly what I am doing! I can't eat until 2pm, which of course makes me hungry!

Lizzie, you are so good at DIY and restoring things!
                          Yummy dinner Nan2.

Gem that extraction was something you could have done without!

I'm sorry but when you mentioned two dentists I visualised one with his knee on your chest yanking away and the other one holding you down!!

Seriously though I hope you do take it easy and enjoy your lunch when you get it.

                                Lizzie your pots look lovely.
