LOL Clover, not quite that bad!
The first dentist went as far as he could, so the next step was book me in another time for surgery. Luckily he called in a more senior dentist for her advice first ,and she managed. There was an awful lot of pulling and tugging though! He had got the crown off easily , but the rest was decaying and hard to remove.

We restart looking after our two youngest grandsons this week which will be one day a week. This day will move depending on DILs shifts (Midwife). We haven’t looked after them since before Christmas, although we have seen them outside. We are taking them on Thursday to Grantham Water and meeting up with our other DIL and her two boys. I’m thinking of taking a small picnic. They have an Easter Trail so we may join in with that. We will now be in a bubble with younger Son so we count as one family, that means we can all meet with our second son and his family in my garden for an Easter Egg Hunt on Sunday yay!

Gem some years ago that happened to me the first Dentist was new and being ever so gentle but just couldn't get the tooth out , like you the crown came away easy but the tooth under was being a problem ,
45 minutes he tried , eventually he called in a older Dentist ,

This one took no messing he went in like miner looking for Gold , lots of tugging pushing and pure force and it was out , at one point I thought he was going to climb on the chair to get a better grip hahaha

You will feel the soreness tomorrow I bet make sure you have the pain killers handy xxx

Avo what a lovely day to look forward too the Children will have a lovely time too

          Ouch Gem, sounds sore.

Plant, i did a full english for dinner not a roast dinner.

          Lizzie the pots look well.
Love the story behind the plant pots.

Weather is lovely today. Blowy but warm.
Cleaned the bathroom and out the towels in to wash.
They have dried lovely on the line.

It was a good day, until....
I looked in the fridge noticed my mint chocolate had gone.
Mam gave me 4 bars of chocolate, only small thin ones.
2 were mint and 2 orange and almond.
B****Y hubby has eaten both mint ones.
          I was furious.

What a lovely day today has been. I’ve been out in the garden, managed to get the grass cut and lots more tidying up. Window cleaner came, so all sparkling again. My friends DH came round and finished off a little job he was kindly doing for me and he has also freshened up the two front bay window walls. So kind, he is like my DH, always like to be busy.

Ouch, Gem, hope it’s not too painful. My dentist wants to remove a crown to see what’s underneath as he’s not happy with it. Gulp!

Shame about your chocolate Nan2, I’d have been cross too!

Nan2. I would be furious too!!
Enfys, that does sound a nice day
Avo, it's lovely to be able to get back to childcare. It makes life more normal.

I have had a nice quiet afternoon. On Netflix I watched film called Wonder, which was very good.
I have all 3 GC here for the day tomorrow and OH will be out at golf a lot of the time, so a good rest today was wise! They are all very good though, and with the possible exception of GS2 will understand if I need to sit around a lot! I have an Easter egg hunt planned with small hollow eggs. The forecast is very good so I will hide those around the garden .

Gem, what a horrid time for you at the dentist. Do you have to go back to have the stitch removed or will it dissolve? I do hope you are ok looking after the children tomorrow. It's forecast a nice day for S's return to the golf course.

Enfys, it's very satisfying to tick these jobs off the To Do list and get everything all nice and fresh. I think it does you good being outside as well. You'd think in this day and age dentists would be able to see beneath a crown without having to take it off. I hope it's nothing painful.

Avo, I bet your two little GSs are as delighted as you are. Fingers crossed for good weather for your get together on Thursday. I'm sure there will be some very excited little boys.

Nanto, does your OH know that he eats your choc mint bars at his peril? These OHs can be very naughty, even reckless! Tut, tut..

Oma, I have a wonderful picture in my head of your dentist mining for gold! OH put our kitchen tv on the wall on one of those swivel stand thingies, and it's much better than having it standing on top of the fridge.

Lizzie, the pots looks great. You're very resourceful. Some years ago we got some stone effect paint from B&Q. It was in a spray can and we used it on two bedside tables. We'd got a pair of old pub tables, the kind with a fancy ornate foot and stem and OH made a plywood top for them and I sprayed them with this 'stone' paint. It was really easy to use and we were pleased with the effect. It's never chipped or anything.

Clover - you made me laugh, but poor Gem! What does it feel like to be able to travel anywhere in Wales now?

DS1 and DIL arrived in time for a relaxing coffee, and some home-baked goodies! It's been an absolutely glorious day with a clear blue sky, and OH didn't think to wear a hat and has got sunburn on his head! At least it shows we were outside. Haha. DS2 and DIL2 brought Cooper round and were able to have a quick chat with his brother.

I made a cottage pie for lunch, with tender stem broccoli, peas and corn on the cobs, with strawberries and ice cream for afters. Strawberries aren't great at this time of year, but they were better than I'd expected.

We just sat in the sun and chatted. A simple pleasure but one we've missed so very much. DS1 has to go for an eye check-up tomorrow as part of the checks for the clinical trial.

I am surprised how tired I am though. Just being with people, I suppose. We've become hermits.

Daisy that's what B did with our TV put it on a swivel mount , it wasn't taking a lot of room up but its better on the wall .

Couldn't find any Crocosmia bulbs anywhere went to two garden centres and B&Q , , one garden centre had the ones that grow about 4ft but I want the smaller variety
I have looked online and can get them there but one well known nursery wanted £7.99 delivery and the bulbs were only £4.99

Did get some Lily of the valley bulbs and Freesia bulbs and a Gooseberry bush though

How is your son feeling about the trial Daisy ?

Nanto no desserts for OH for a week for being so naughty

Enfys its nice when you can call on a handyman isnt it

Gem how you feeling now ? did you manage to eat anything ?

Oma I was desperate for my lunch by 2pm! For lunch I had white bread with cheese spread on and 3 Jaffa cakes. Tonight I had a baked potato with cheese and 2 yogurts. All of that eaten very slowly and carefully!
What a shame you couldn't find the bulbs you were looking for.

I'm glad you had such a lovely day Daisy
I go back to the dentist in 2 weeks for a check and the stitch removing

Good morning, we also had lovely weather yesterday, I got the olive trees cut back so will see how they grow now.

                        Your lunch sounds delicious Daisy!

Nanto, I can understand you being annoyed with OH, eating the mint bars and leaving the others!!!!!!

Gem, I hope your mouth is less sore this morning.

Enfys, nice of the friend to help you, you will appreciate things like that.

Avo, you would enjoy having the GS,s.

Oma, I had to Google which bulbs you were looking for!! I hope you find them.

I had a bike ride yesterday afternoon, chose the wrong roads at a busy time. I did enjoy the ride though. I have to go this morning for a service for my bike, I was thinking of giving it a miss then decided I do more kms on the bike then in the car at the moment and I take that every year so decided to go. It usually only takes about 30 minutes.

Good morning Lizzie, and all who follow.

Its forecast to be lovely again, like it was yesterday.
Got a load of darks in the washer, will get them hung on the line before i go to in laws.

Hubby has requested a salad for dinner. We like it with something warm, so i'm doing chicken with it.

Have a lovely warm day ladies.

                            Morning all.

Nan2 we had salad on Saturday. We had it with homemade quiche and a jacket potato. One of my favourite/ comfort food is jacket potato with lots of coleslaw.

Looks like being a nice day again today, shame I will have to spend some of it at the dentist. It's part two of my treatment. I am having 4 fillings.
Talking of dentist mishaps, years ago the dentist injected into my cheek instead of my gum. For hours I loked like a hamster storing its food inside the side of my mouth!
Gem I hope your mouth is more comfortable today.

A week next Friday I am travelling to Ross for a mammogram which is a bit inconvenient as the breast screening unit is normally in the supermarket in town .
I have been waiting almost a year for this appointment and if I were to wait until the unit is closer to my home town I would be waiting another year without any guarantees that the unit will have been allocated back here.

The garden is coming along slowly. Next week we are having a delivery of garden gravel for the boarder and this week we have got someone coming to give us an estimate for taking up the old neglected lawn ( when I say old lawn, what I should say is patches of weeds ) and lay a new lawn . We have taken up the old stepping stones that were there and we are keeping them . There is enough to lay some as a path to my washing airer and the rest will lead to the boarder. These stepping stones are like huge penny farthings with a lovely Robin on each one.

As yesterday was the first day of outdoor sports allowed we discovered that our garden backs on to the tennis club a lot closer that we originally thought. We can't see much but we can hear the balls hitting the rackets which I think is a lovely sound, it reminds me of playing tennis at school which by the way I entered and won a competition to join that actual tennis club. I was so excited about having coaching lessons but sadly fate stepped in , my life turned upside down and things changed forever.

                            Enjoy the lovely day everyone

                              Good morning everyone.
The sun is shining and a lovely day is forecast here, I hope it is for everyone.

Very wise to get your bike serviced Lizzie.
Nan2, salad for dinner is a good choice for a warm day.
Steady on there Mimi. Dentist and mammogram in the same week! I agree the sound of the tennis club will be a nice one. That's sad about your missing out on tennis coaching.

My mouth is OK thanks ladies. I took some painkillers in the early hours as the cheek was a bit too tender to sleep on that side, but it feels OK now. Soft foods for a day or two!
OH is raring to get onto the golf course today. I have all the GC for the day. Both DDs have important meetings today. I like to have all 3 here once each holidays if possible, so it suits everyone.
Zoom committee meeting for OH this evening, so I shall be putting my feet up after the children have gone.

                              Happy sunny Tuesday everyone.

Well we did intend going to The Range then to see MIL for the first time since Christmas day ,
Went for a shower cleaned bathroom flushed toilet and the Flush button stuck down and wont release so the toilet is flushing all the time ,
Being on a metre we don't want that
So B had to take the lid off tie the flush up to stop it and called for a plumber , he cant give a time it can be anytime up till 4pm , so we going no where
