It's started raining here now, and the wind's got up too. It's time we had some better weather.

Plant, it is so easy to fall, the neighbour under here fell over a rug in the hall going to the toilet, she couldn't get up and spent the night on the floor. She now has one of those alarms. I hope you have no aches and pains from the fall.

Lizzie, my mum had rugs all over and refused to get rid of them At least now there will be no rugs where she is!

Yes Gem, they can be dangerous, a lady who used to go to the exercise class where I did coffee, she tripped over a rug and broke so many bones.

About de cluttering, I knew my sister was a hoarder, I often mentioned it when I stayed there, I was chatting to BIL this morning, he said he had been tidying the kitchen cupboards out and I would never believe how much he has to take to the charity shop, I told him I can imagine!!!!

I reinacted the reason for my fall last night and I could see how it happened, I do have an alarm but apart from being a bit shaken and puzzled why it happened I am fine. I think the extra lbs as a result of no exercise saved my hip. I did discovered a bruise on my arm.
I don't think they will insert another fib. detector Daisy.

Neither my OH or myself were/are hoarders so the loft isn't too bad, we had a turn-out when we moved things from the main bungalow to the annnexe. I have said to youngest GS's to come and have a look around to see if there is anything they would like. I am ashamed to say there is a beaver lamb fur coat up there.

Nanto - I think you are the first GRU granny to have the second vaccine? I hope you don't get any side effects.

We have rugs on our hard floors in the living room hall and bedroom. The one in the hall is constantly ruffled up because both Eva and Cooper skid over it when they're trying to greet visitors, the post or someone parking over the road!

It's been a busy day today. I spent most of the morning portioning up dog food and did some more ironing this afternoon, made a vegetable stir fry for dinner and am now relaxing with Gardener's World.

OH got discharged from hospital at 9.30 last night!!! He hasn't done much today apart from read the paper, watch a bit of television and sleep! He's tucked up in bed now, with painkillers beside him in case he needs them during the night. It looks horrible where he's had the op, they really shaved his head, now it's covered in a dressing , lovely bruises all around it and down his neck. As DD said, it's a good job we're not househunting this weekend! I think a hat would have had to be worn. He was impressed with the cleanliness and of the hospital and with the staff who looked after him. He goes back next Thursday to see the consultant and get his stitches out.

Today started out glorious and then down came the rain again! We are forecast to be in the 20s next week. I hope so!

Hope Plant isn't suffering any after effects of her fall. And that Oma hasn't had any more dizzy spells. I felt a bit light headed today, but I think it was just because I hadn't had anything to eat since yesterday.

WeeGranny, many thanks for the update on your OH. It was a long day yesterday for both of you, so I think he needed a quiet day today. It sounds as though he was well looked after. I should think you are exhausted as well as being hungry so no wonder you were feeling a bit light headed. Night, night, sleep well. xx

Supermarket shopping today, if hubby's pal comes to pick up his lawn mower at a reasonable time.
Something wasn't right with it,but its ok now.

Lovely Spring graphic to greet the last day of "winter time". I've been trying all week to push Eva's dinner back a little bit each day otherwise we get bombarded with big soulful eyes following our every move for days until she finally gets the message - the humans have gone bonkers and messed up dinner time!

I'm going to get some housework done today. I keep getting the urge to Spring clean, so I give myself a good talking to until I get over it. I've got some washing in but don't know if I can trust the weather today! Roll on next week's heat wave.

WeeGranny - I hope both you and your OH have slept well and are both feeling better this morning. Sending hugs. xx

Had a reasonable sleep last night so i was up with the larks ,
Put washing on then got a bucket of water and cleaned all downstairs paintwork , doors skirting etc and did a general clean through .

Went to put clothes in Tumble and it wasn't working , changed the fuse still dead , Pulled it out and dragged it into kitchen tried the plug in another socket and it worked ,
So we realised it was the socket ,

Off B went to Screwfix for a new one , came back took the socket cover off only to discover it was a wire come loose , socket was fine

Decided in stead of taking the new socket back we will keep it for emergency replacement in the future , Clothes happily tumbling now .

Good morning, it is a very cold wind, at least a better forecast next week. I didn't feel well yesterday, so tired, I slept most of the day so I hope I feel better today. I hope your hubby is feeling better today WG.
