What a lovely name, Willow, how lovely for you to see her. Well done to your son for being nominated as colleague of the year.

Weather very sunny here too but very cold but the wind has dropped, should go for a stroll but ....... well I do have some mixture in the bed machine which I shall turn into Pittas.
I need to sort out my wardrobe, I think I will wait until the charity shops open again.

Mimi, I hadn't realised the bungalow buying was finalised, bet you are excited. I hope you will not have to wait too long for the internet to be laid on, we would love to know how you are settling in.

They are only £25 cheques, but i can't seem to win with mine.

Mimi - how exciting to be moving to your new home. I hope the paint dries soon and everything goes smoothly. Is it far away? (I think you said, but I'm afraid I can't remember.) Sorting everything out is a big job, but you feel great when it's done, don't you. Wishing you all the luck with everything. Pop in when you can, and I do hope you get re-connected very quickly. xx

Glamm - it's good the physio exercises are working - a painful back is horrible. What a lovely surprise to see Willow and your son. Congratulations to your son on his nomination - you must be very proud of him.

What a pity about your Hotter shoes. I'm going to get on with some more wardrobe sorting - there will be another charity collection for our village pre-school next month, so a good cause. I'm sure your local dogs home will be very grateful - I think a lot are struggling at the moment because they can't do their usual fund-raising activities. The one we got Eva from isn't rehoming either at the moment, so their costs must be mounting up.

Oma - We never expected to become our children's children, did we, getting told off for being naughty!

Gem - did you have a good day with the GCs?

Plant - your family is so busy and I can imagine your DD feeling a bit stressed with everything that's going on. Weight measurements are funny - I use metric for cooking/baking, and keep track of Eva's weight in kilos, but I weigh myself in stones and pounds (too many of them!)

Nanto - congratulations to your OH on his win - what's the secret?

Good morning everyone, and Happy Friday.

            Nan2, those £25s add up!
Mimi good luck with your move. I hope all goes smoothly and you are not away for the internet as us for long!
Glamma sorting out my wardrobe is (still) on my To Do list.

Daisy, we had a good day. The only downside was GS deciding he didn't want his tea, without even picking up a fork to try any. If he hadn't been happy and active all day and eaten a good lunch I would have thought maybe he was ill. After all the usual persuasions and with him moaning I said he should leave the table if he wasn't going to eat anything and stop spoiling his sisters tea time. We then heard him wailing loudly upstairs (he is a drama queen ) I went to him and asked what all the noise was about. Because I didn't like him any more, apparently! I told him to come to me and we had a cuddle and I told him I and all his family will ALWAYS love him, very much, but that didn't mean we couldn't be a bit annoyed with him sometimes! All was fine after that. He still didn't eat any tea though.

I am going for my vaccine this morning. The site is about 5 miles away, so we get a drive out! No other plans today.

Good morning, I have just been down to get rib of my rubbish, oh dear, a bitter cold wind, I will have a walk later on as I need to post a birthday card. I got to the Lidl yesterday, using Nordic poles to stop me falling!!

Gem, children can get like that, deciding not to eat, of course you love him!

Good idea to use the poles Lizzie!
GS2 is the only one of the 3 to be fussy over food. For well over year he ate a very small variety of food, rejecting most things. He's a lot better now, but is naturally suspicious of food and reluctant to ever try anything new (Last night's tea was home made shepherds' pie, with peas and sweetcorn. Hardly a new dish!)

                  Good morning ladies ,
We had another layer of snow during the night , Its very very cold but the sun is out

Washing done now in the dryer ,
Had a chat with my sister really early this morning (5.15 ) she hadn't slept and I hadn't so we put the world to rights

B has to go for a Covid test at lunch time as he has the Camera investigation on Monday

Lizzie be careful walking in the snow just as well you have your Nordic poles .

Gem bless him he must have been really upset thinking Grandma didn't like him good luck with your jab is S driving you there ?

Mimi when do you think you will get in the Bungalow is there much more painting to do ?

Daisy how was Cooper with the snow ?

Nanto those little wins bring a smile well done that man

Plant I cant work in Metric I still use Pounds and ounces , how is GD's partner ? hope any tests for the Covid was negative .

I feel a bit wobbly in my legs this morning , not ill or anything just a bit of a wobble , sometimes i get a bit shaky if my sugar drops so could be that ,
I felt like Mrs Overall from Acorn Antiques just needed the wrinkled tights hahaha

When I did get some sleep last night I had a weird dream ( Not unusual for me mind you )

I had Elton John staying with me and he wanted Hot Ribena and Toast for his breakfast and he was sitting at my table dunking the toast in Ribena like dipping toast in eggs and I was telling him he was disgusting

Now where did that come from hahaha

Im not fat just 6ft too small

Oma, dreams are very strange sometimes, did Elton John stay for lunch.

Difficult to handle a child who doesn't want to eat the food put in front of them Gemini. My Sil says his father used to make them stay at the table until they ate the food they really didn't like, how stupid is that. I am sure your GS1 knows you love him very much.

I will use metric if I am using a recipe but prefer pounds and ounces. Baby H was 9.4lbs when weighed this week.
I have to go to the hospital to pick up my tablets, I shall go today in case we have more snow.

Oma, love your dream!!! Elton John eating toast dipped in Ribena!!! Yes, I am pleased with the poles, I just had a walk to the letter box, on arriving back in the flat a neighbour had just slipped on an ice patch, so I was pleased I had used them!

Hello one and all. It's not quite as cold - but certainly not warm - and the sun is shining, which makes such a difference.

Gem - I hope your vaccination went ok and you didn't have to wait.

My DS1 was the second fussiest child I ever knew - he would eat bananas, yoghurt, Weetabix and eggs. Fortunately all reasonably healthy choices but I always worried he'd 'go off' one of those. The fussiest was a friend's son who would only eat dry toast!

Oma - what an interesting dream! Take it easy today if you're still feeling a bit wobbly. xx

We didn't get enough snow for the dogs to notice!

Plant - His doing well gaining weight. I bet she's gorgeous.

Lizzie - I see a lot of people round here using walking poles. Do they help with walking when it's not icy?

I went to fetch Cooper and GD1 has an Inset day today so at her request, I gave her a little shorthand lesson. I'm a bit rusty - I shall have to do some revision!

I love walking with the poles Daisy, it helps me walk better. They are handy in the snow but I had to watch out for the ice.

I would like to dream about Elton John!
No waiting for the vaccination Daisy. York is some sort of vaccine supercentre I gather. You go in give details, got to vaccinator (there are a lot) have vaccine, go to post vaccine area for 15 mins, go out.
GS2 is fine today, full of beans, so my slight worry that he wasn't eating because he was coming down with something was unfounded!

                              Hope the jab went well.
I'm the only one i know, that didn't have to wait 15 minutes after the jab.

Lizzie,a good idea to walk with poles.

Sorry ladies, but if i had dream about Elton John,i would call it a nightmare.
