      Good morning ladies.
Nan2, dinner sounds good. It's been a windy and wet night but the sun is shining now!

No plans today apart for going to Aldi. We haven't been for ages and our next supermarket delivery isn't until next week. So we fancy a browse of the middle shelves, and pick up a few things we need.
I also must do some housework, dust is gathering!!

      Have a good day everyone.

Good Thursday morning everyone. What a very grand graphic, Nanto - I love peacocks.

It rained hard here last night, but the sun is shining now. I might just get those tulips planted!

Have a good day, ladies - we're steadily getting through this lockdown in England - each day is a day closer to the end of it.

            Good morning ladies ,
We have just been to Lidl for fresh bread , I like to go early but I didn't actually go to bed till 5.30 so I slept till 7 when we would normally be in the shop for it opening at 7 .

Its a lovely bright day , its supposed to be like this tomorrow too , so if it is we intend well B intends getting the outside lights up ready for Christmas rather than do it in the rain and snow .

Daisy a good positive attitude as Gem said , we just have to keep telling ourselves its only another couple of weeks

Nanto dinner sounds like comfort food nice warming and hearty

Gem if you like Yoghurt Aldi has some new ones in , they are in sort of barrel style jars , they are £1.69 i think but enough for two or three portions
Do them in Vanilla, Blueberry , Lime and lemon ,
The Vanilla & Blueberry are lovely , haven't tried the Lime and lemon yet , nice and thick not like some of their yoghurts that are too thin and runny

            Hope everyone is ok xxx

Morning all or should I say afternoon. Had to go out very early to take my very pregnant GD1 to her midwife appointment and then take her to work. It seemed sensible to do my shopping in the Waitrose she works in, so not long back. I am pleased she has decided to give up driving, her tummy is touching the steering wheel and she has shortish legs so can't put the seat back. They have managed to change their ships so that they can travel together.

Lovely and sunny, must be quite wet for your bulb planting is they are going in a border Daisy.

Nanto, my OH would have loved your meals.

I decided to get a small amount of washing out for line drying and don't you know it has started to drizzle again so off down the garden to bring it in again, nothing too important just PJs & lounge suit so they can go on the maiden in the wetroom plenty of space in there,I am so fed up with this rain.
I've taken in my fushia plants into the shed for the winter I hope that is the right thing to do Daisy ? do I cover them in a plastic bag or leave them as they are.I am not doing too bad in the garden considering I don't have green fingers my master piece this year has got to be the new potatoes that I planted and the £1 packet of wild flower seeds that I bought in a super market and just them across the border at the bottom of the garden they looked delightful when they came up.
There is no housework to do today so I am having a lazy day making a Christmas card list ready to be posted I have already sent my friend in Scotland her Liverpool Calendar we swop local calendars every year with out fail.
Lunch time now so off to make a cheese and tomato sandwich and curl up and watch the news on TV.

Glamm I'm not sure what Daisy would recommend but I have been over wintering our fuchsias in an unheated grow house and all I do is cut them back a little as a tidy up , leave them in the pots and just make sure they don't get damp as they could rot so I wouldn't wrap them in any sort of plastic wrapping as they will definitely get damp .
In the spring bring them back outside, is a sunny spot if possible. If there is talk of frost overnight pop them back to where you had them stored over winter and bring back outside again the next day . When all threat of frost has passed prune them back hard to ground (or pot) level and they should regrow from the bottom.

We went to the pharmacy today to pick up our prescriptions ( when I say we I mean I donned on my face mask and went inside, OH waited outside ) . While in there the pharmacist asked if we had both had our flu vac, obviously they are trying to get as many people vaccinated as possible.

I have been on line and ordered some slippers from M and S . I have noticed that I seem to be getting through slippers at an alarming rate, I suppose its because I am home so much!

Daisy I haven't bothered with planting any bulbs this time , its a job I hate as its so hard on the knees even with padded kneeling pad

Bring me sunshine in your smile.

It's satisfying to have day like that Nan2. We did a big shop at Aldi this morning and cleaned downstairs this afternoon so a productive day here too
Oma, I got some of those yogurts. The lime and lemon and the vanilla.
Mimi, I think all our slippers have been well worn this year!
Glamma, we actually got some washing dried on the line today.
Plant you are a good Grandma taking GD for her midwife appointment.

Plant, when is the baby due? They seem to work almost to the due date nowadays.

Glamm, we have had rain here this morning but dry all afternoon, I hung my washing out as it usually does dry under the balcony roof. Nice to swop calendars each year. I usually get one from my friend in Aberdeen.

I have just been to pick up a prescription for medicine for my bladder, I haven't been taking if for a year, thought it may get better but it didn't so I decided to start on them again.

I have been to the physio and no more dry needling!!! I told him it was so painful last week I cried when I got home, he said " I have known you for years and you have never complained about pain in all those years"!!! I wasn't really complaining, just told him! I also have a strange kind of rash on the leg that the girl treated. I told him it has helped and that the pain has gone , that I am walking much better, he saw that for himself. He did some treatment and now I have to go to their gym, with help of a physio I will do exercises to get the muscle strength back again. I told him I walk but feel my leg on the way back hoe so now I haven't to go as far so that I don't strain it. I will get there someday.

The new baby is expected about the first week in January, GD has decided to finish work the beginning of December. They only allow her to work on the checkout as she is not allowed to lift and must not be on her feet too long.

Mimi - Daisy the Fuchsia Doctor completely agrees with you. If it's bitterly cold and you're worried Glamm you could wrap them in something like horticultural fleece, but as long as the shed is dry they should be ok without.

Plant - not long now till your new GGC arrives. I'm sure your GD is being sensible avoiding the Christmas rush and worries about Covid and other germs in a crowded supermarket.

Those yoghurts sounds lovely - I'd go for vanilla and blueberry.

Daisy I like Vanilla as I add my own fruit , haven't tried the lime & lemon yet .
Can you remember when Ski yoghurt first came out it used to have real big pieces of fruit in , now your lucky to get tiny bits of it and its thin now .
