Bitterly cold here, very fine sprinkle of snow. I shall not be going out today except to the dustbin. Apart from putting some washing on I have no other plans. Might do some machine sewing on a Christmas table runner I started ages ago. I had a look on Utube to see how to finish it off. I was going to a class but Covid put a stop to that and I was left high and dry. Might get it finished for next Christmas.

Daisy 7am is far too early to get up on a winters day.

Oma, pleased to hear you had a good nights sleep.

Gemini, enjoy your visit to Aldi, very sad when we look forward to a trip to the supermarket. Did you see the programme on BBC1, I thought of you as it was music from the shows and I know you like your theatre. Later on 4 there was a programme about Andrew Lloyd Webber, I recorded that as it was on late.

My computer is on a go slow again, it is old like me, so I will report back later when it has warmed up

Oma, it is the same here, I wouldn't mind a walk, keep looking out and no-one about so I won't bother either.

I got a message from DS1 yesterday that GD2 had been out with her sleigh all day! Oh to be young!!! Then I messaged him to tell him I hope she doesn't try the ice yet!!! That was my nightmare when the boys were young and skating, going through the ice. I did read the ice is getting stronger by the hour.

Lizzie - At this rate the ice should be safe. I always think it's great to see children enjoying the snow. We've had a few flakes and that's it.

Gem - I thought o you when the musicals programme came on. You'll enjoy it, I'm sure.

Plant - I remember you talking about the Christmas table runner. I hope you can get at least some work done on it. I totally agree about 7 am being too early to get up, especially in winter, especially in lockdown when you've got nothing specific to get up for! Stay warm and safe.

Oma - lucky Storm - his perfect day!

I have downloaded the musicals programme to watch later.
Today it had snowed, big flakes, many times. In between snow showers the sun has shone!
We went to my mums to put away the wheelie bin and check for post, and from there to Aldi.
We put away the shopping, had a cuppa and watched the final part of The Pembrokeshire Murders.
That filling I had replaced a couple of weeks ago? It is broken or some tooth around it has - or both. It has never felt right and I have avoided eating on that side to be honest but today I did. Another trip to the dentist I suppose. I will phone tomorrow.

                Quiz night tonight.

Gemini, I know you will enjoy that programme and also on BBC4 at 9pm there was a programme called Imagine about Andrew Lloyd, Tim Rice and others. Very enjoyable.

My DD came in this morning and told me that GD's partner was having to isolate again as he had been contacted to inform him that he had, at some time, been in contact with someone who now had Covid. This means I will not be able to go in next door as a precaution, my DD thought that would be unwise. We think he and GD had the virus last March, my DD and Sil were very poorly too. I do hope he doesn't develop the virus or he will not be seeing his new daughter for some time. I do think shop assistants should be offered the vaccine, they are constantly in contact with customers, some not wearing masks. I consider them to be front-line workers.

Plant - I feel very sorry for your GD's partner being 'in contact' again, especially at the moment with their new baby. I agree about supermarket staff being front line workers. Keeping fingers crossed for him. xx

Gem - how much snow did you have? I bet the GCs are loving it.

Oma - I hope Storm has gone in now and isn't still rolling around in the snow.

Well done on your quiz success, Gem. I'm sure GS1 is hoping you will have enough snow to play in.

We're having Cooper tomorrow - I don't know how he feels about snow, but I don't think he's ever seen it.
