Good morning, Nanto and all who call in later.

I'm pleased to hear your DS2 is feeling better. I bet they will all feel like a delicious roast pork dinner.

It's still cold here but not as bad, and it's dry. I think it's suppose to warm up a bit from this coming week. I do hope so!

Plant - thinking of your GD today and hoping all goes well. I hope you've got the bubbly on ice ready to welcome your new GGD later today. xx

Whatever you're doing today, ladies, stay safe, well and warm. xx

Good morning everyone. Exciting day for you Plant today. Looking forward to hearing your news later on.

Enjoyed my evening last night. By chance caught the Billy Joel concert on tv at Shea Stadium. Had a good old sing-a-long. Then straight after that James Taylor concert. Contrasting performers but what talent. I loved James Taylor in my youth.... long flowing locks, beautiful eyes & velvety voice. Last night he stood there hardly recognisable as an old man. Not lost it tho'. His song "You've got a freind" helped me through many sticky patches.

Good morning Nan2, Daisy and everyone else.

Thinking of Plant's GD. I do hope the baby arrives today, safe and well. The 10th is a good date for a birthdate.
Nan2 it's good to hear your son is feeling like eating. A good sign! The roast pork dinner will be most welcome.

No plans here. Oh actually there is a plan! To post the completed permission form for my mum's Covid jab.

          Stay safe all. Happy Sunday.

Morning Oma. When I last asked the care home didn't have a date for the vaccinations. They have now sent me the form to sign which I am going to post back today. I hope this means it will happen in the near future.

I hope all the poorly ones feel better soon, your DS sounds on the mend Nanto, he will enjoy his dinner.

Nana, I thought you had a machine that did embroidery.

Frosty and foggy here this morning, hope the sun comes out later. something I ate yesterday gave me a tummy upset in the night and has left me with my AF playing up. I am going to rest my tummy and hope the da de da da stops soon. Of course my thoughts are with the expected parents but must be patient, it is possible that nothing will happen today. I think they are going to feel pretty bored just waiting.

We haven't heard from Wee Granny for some time, I hope all is well with her.

We have been alarmed to see that people are going to our local cafes for a takeaway but do not take it away. There are tables and chairs outside one and there must have been at least 25 people sitting and more standing talking. What is wrong with these people. Perhaps they should shut the takeaways as they are being abused. We have a small cafe on the green and he is doing take-away coffee and sandwiches, families are going for a walk and stopping there for a coffee and chat to friends, no distancing. Have any of you got the same problem?

Plant, it's not that long since WG posted, just a few days I think.
How stupid are people going against the rules like that? The numbers are alarming and rising. I don't know how they dare do this with no distancing.

we haven't been anywhere to see Plant , I do hope people in our area are abiding by the rules ,
I think that Cafe should remove the out door tables to stop this happening

                      No news from Plant yet.

Hubby delivered the dinner. Popped his head round the shop door to thank the shopkeeper.
DS didn't think N would eat all her dinner but she did.
Where DS works is closed for a week for deep cleaning.
                      Another 6 were positive.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

Plant how can people justify gatherings like that are they completley stupid we have seen a few people gathering outside coffee shops which I think should be closed as they dont really do takeaways as such ?? I hope you GD is ok and that she has an easy delivery will they allow daddy at the birth or have they stopped that now?
Take care ladies this 2nd variant is popping up everywhere according to the medical people & scientists.

Nanto - I had to smile - I read your comment about no news from Plant, and then "Hubby delivered ..." and my brain accelerated along totally the wrong path!!! I hope there are no more infections from your DS work place.

We haven't been anywhere to see cafes etc with customers, but I am worried about the number of people still crowding into the beauty spots round here. In the first lockdown most of the Forest car parks were closed - which didn't stop people coming but made them crowd into the car parks which were open, including the one at the end of our road which we have to walk past to get anywhere. I can understand people living in the town wanting to get out for a walk, but I wish they'd spread themselves out a bit for everyone's sake.

There's been a case of Alabama Rot in one of the most popular places where people park to walk their dogs, and that is another risk I wouldn't take, it's such a terrible disease.

Plant - I do hope you are feeling better, and everything is going well at the hospital. Sending hugs. xx

Gem - Hopefully your mum's vaccination will be soon.

Lizzie - is your eye feeling better?

Nana - two serendipity programmes - lovely.

Oma - thank you for asking. Quick update on the family - DS1 finished his radiotherapy plus chemo last Wednesday. He says he's got far fewer tablets to take at the moment! His hair was looking a bit patchy from the radiotherapy, so DIL gave him a Grade OO, but he's kept his beard. He says to keep warm! He's now got to wait for a month for an MRI to see if the treatment has had any effect, and will then go on to one week of chemo, followed by three weeks off. So it's a waiting game again, but DS is very upbeat, chatty and his sense of humour is in good shape. GS1 is very sensitive to what is going on, and tries to do things to help DS and DIL. But both boys are coping very well. J's got an eye appointment this coming Thursday, and it was made since this lockdown started, so I guess it will go ahead as planned.

                          Stay warm, everyone.

Good to know your eye is improving Lizzie.
Daisy, I'm keeping all crossed for your son's results.
I wonder if Plant's GD is in labour yet? Or if the baby is possibly here?!

Friends knocked on the door earlier and we had a doorstep chat, which was very nice.

I was wondering about WeeG as I think the last time she posted she said she needed to get her head around something before posting about it. Has GrannyJules posted at all? Glad your DS is managing to keep upbeat Daisy.
