Nanto I don't like oven chips either ,
My friend has a air fryer and she loves it but it does take at least 45 minutes to do chips , I don't have the patience to wait that long but she does
Glamm hope Pop's is ok ,
I also love Freesias but the shop bought ones these days don't seem to have much smell do they .

Nanto - thank you for asking about M. She's doing really well from a medical point of view. Her follow-up appointment sounded as though everything was good. She's got tablets, which I assume are Tamoxifen (she didn't know what they were). No other treatment suggested. She's not coping so well with this lockdown because all her social activities are closed down, and she can't even come round here for a coffee and chat.
Plant - I hope everything is going well for GD1. xxx
Oma - Poor DD - how awful. It doesn't sound as though the man was very co-operative.

Daisy, if M is post menopausal which I presume she is, it won't be Tamoxifen. I think it will be Anastrozole, also known as Arimidex, which both OH and I take. It must be hard for her with no social activities or seeing friends.“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Gem, yes she is post-menopausal. She didn't know the name of the tablets - thank you. I didn't realise the difference. Yes, it is hard for her, although she does keep in close touch with all her social contacts and goes out for a long walk every day round the village."Joy is what happens to us when we allow ourselves to recognise how good things really are. Baby arrived by Cesarean Section about 10.15, she has already had a feed, eyes wide open and weighed 8lb 4.oz. Will try and send a picture tomorrow. DD is so excited, sending pics to all the children. I can relax now and know they are both in good hands. I expect her partner is exhausted, he will probably come home and have a good sleep. I hope GD and baby have a good night. Shame we can't go and see her. What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare

Good morning everyone, what great news to wake up to - the birth of Plant's third GGC.
Plant - you must be so pleased, relieved and excited. I hope mummy gets a chance to rest for a few days - new mums don't get pampered like we did and I certainly think mums who have had a C Section need to recover from the op as well as everything else. Baby was a good weight, Plant, and we all look forward to hearing more news. I hope the new daddy isn't too excited to sleep! Lots of love to everyone.
It's raining here - that sort of steady rain that looks as though it's here for the day. Never mind.
I'll pop back later when I'm dressed!!

Had a message from GD, she says she is feeling sore and can't wait to get home, no news how long they will have to stay in the hospital. I feel absolutely shattered today and I haven't had the baby. I think I was so tense all day waiting for news. I am just going to take things easy today.
