Take care out there Plant, I hope there is no ice.
Daisy, I hope that baby is OK now.
Lots of people to remember this year Oma xxx

OH just set off with handwarmer, to the golf course. I'm still in my PJs, I'd better get dressed!

It's snowing here, big flakes! Most unusual for Christmas Eve.
I'm glad OH took her wooly hat!

I'm back, everything okay now for another 6 months. The nurse told me they haven't got the vaccines yet and they will be given at a hospital some miles from here. Sil gone to get some bits from Waitrose and to see his mother, hope that goes okay. GD1's partner who works at Waitrose said the shelves were a bit empty yesterday so they decided to get the Easter eggs out! I have made loads of blinis for Christmas, we shall eat them Christmas morning waiting for lunch to cook. I will load them with soured cream and smoked salmon in the morning.

Oma, very sad for your brother's family, I am pleased to say we have no snow. It is a chilly but sunny day here.

Grauntie, Atlas deserved a face lift if he has been outside all that time.

Enfys, I hope you have dried out, shame about the parking. I am pleased you are going to your DD's for Christmas Day.

Lizzie, I have never ordered specs. on line, I know some of the family do. I am due to have a test and have an appt. in the New Year but I am not happy to keep it.

Daisy, when are you travelling to spend Christmas with your DS's family?

Gemini, what a fun time you and your GC had, they will remember those times when they are older. No snow here or ice, the GC will hope it settles so they can build a snowman.

Plant, pleased you got your injection! I had my eyes tested a few months ago, not much different to a few years ago so no problem there.

It is dry here at the moment, with sun!

Just chatting with my sisters DS2, he lost his job in March and luckily he has found a new position, which he is very pleased about, his DD is 12 years old today, very teary for her nan!

Snow went on for some time and it was very dark. I went around switching all the Christmas lights on. It's wet so the snow won't settle.
Now it has stopped and it's bright and sunny!! I have switched off all lights except the Christmas tree .

We've got sunshine at the moment!

Oma - How lovely that all your brother's children got in touch with you. What a lovely family he brought up. I'll be thinking of all of you tomorrow, and all our Grannies, especially those who have had so much sadness this year.

Our road's support group had a lovely message yesterday from one of the members. She's a GP and has been treating Covid patients from the beginning. She volunteered to take part in the Oxford/AstraZenica trial for the vaccine. It was a blind trial so she didn't know if it was the real thing or a placebo. But her son recently had Covid and she had a test, which was negative. Then she was offered the Pfizer vaccine because of her job so they 'unblinded' for her - and she had had the real vaccine. She is very optimistic that there is light at the end of the tunnel and if we can all hang on in there for a bit longer things will get better. What a lovely Christmas message, isn't it.

I hope that all poorly people soon recover, that those who are sad find happy and that we all stay safe and well.

Good morning dear friends, and MERRY CHRISTMAS to all!!

We are still in bed with a morning cuppa. I've had my shower though.
Breakfast and presents next, then off to DD1, followed by DD2.

I know this is an odd Christmas for us all, and worse for some than others. I hope we all feel some joy and love wherever we are.

See you in the Tea Rooms, followed by the Granny's Arms for a quick one tonight
