Good morning ladies, I'm rarely first!

I hope you are all OK today.
How is your cold Lizzie? I think I have one too, I have a sore throat. GS2 had a bit of a cold so I'm guessing that's where I caught it. DD1 did too (his auntie) but wouldn't come into the house to pick up GS1 because of it, so we had no contact. It's a wonder we catch anything really with all the sanitising etc. Not easy to distance from a 4 year old you are looking after though!

This morning we are taking GS1 to a national Trust property. House shop and gallery are closed, but grounds, adventure playground and cafe for takeaway are open. DD will drop him here and we will drop him home afterwards.

    Have a good Sunday everyone.

Good morning Nanto, Gem and all who call in later.

Nanto - ahh, memories of sunny mornings from your pretty graphic. I think it's more likely to be hand-warming drinks like Gem's today. At least it's not raining!

Oh dear, there seem to be a lot of colds around, but it's that time of year. As you say, Gem, we should be avoiding things like that with all the distancing and hand sanitising.

Gem - have a lovely outing with your GS1 - I'm sure you will all enjoy the change of scene and a chance to blow the cobwebs away.

Nothing much planned for us today except taking Eva for a run in the paddock.

Have a good Sunday everyone. xx

Good morning, Oma. I'm sorry you've had such a bad night and I hope the hot shower has helped a bit. I think you should give yourself a day off from housework today and just relax.

I think a lot of us are feeling the need for a change of scenery now, but the weather doesn't encourage you to go out much.

Ah, I wasn't first in fact. Nan2 nipped in with a cheery graphic whilst I was posting

Poor Oma I hope your aches ease as the day goes on. Take it easy.

Daisy, I really know what you mean about lacking the impetus or desire to go out.
Our friends who called yesterday are good at getting out to walk. They both work in hospitals though, so it's probably needed for sanity!
I was telling them I rarely leave the house these days. Drive and short walk for school pick up, drive to click and collect, drive to mum's house - that's it!
We did so much getting out during the first lockdown. Walking in winter with not even a cafe at the end is no lure to me.
As we are taking GS out today, it is making me go out!

Gem, the cold is much better thanks, if it was a cold, I do think it was an allergic reaction to something. I will see how it goes, I have just been on the bike to the supermarket in the village, they have delicious apples on offer, the last day today, I was just reading about them, it is a new apple and that supermarket is the first to sell them as they have been involved in the growing etc. Enjoy your day out with GS1.

Oma, take it easy and think about yourself! That is what I get told

              Has anyone heard from Fairyqueen?

Lizzie, glad you are feeling better. At first I thought my sore throat was from talking, as it started after the Zoom meeting with friends last night!

I emailed FQ a few days ago but no reply. Hoping all is OK.

Lovely sunny morning here, slow this morning, not dressed yet. No plans, might write some Christmas cards. I agree Gemini, there isn't a lot of incentive to leave the house except for food and in your case fetching the GC from school. I am sure GS1 will enjoy his outing and gives mum some spare time. GD1 was so tired last evening after an early start, they had a better shift today but she will not have a day off until Wed. I feel she shouldn't be working now but has another 3 weeks to go. She looked so tired yesterday, her partner goes on the bed for a few hours after an early shift but it doesn't work for her. I do not think this has been a very happy pregnancy.

What is the name of the new variety of apples Lizzie, we will look out for them if and when they arrive here.

Oma sorry to hear you are suffering, I give you permission not to do any housework today. Are you able to go for a drive to the seaside?

I really must get out today if only a stroll around the garden.

Plant, they are called Sprank! Lovely to bite into!

You will notice if your GD is tired, some pregnancies are harder than others. I hope she can take it easy and manage to relax.

So many people out with dogs , ive never seen so many dogs down there , lots of young dogs people must have bought Pups in the lockdown .

We wrapped up in our big coats hats gloves and scarfs it was lovely in the sunshine ,

Just had a cup of tea and some pain killers , I intend ringing the Hospital at the end of the week , lockdown is nearly over and I cant wait any longer i have to get this injection see if it helps .

Poor GD she must be wishing this pregnancy was over bless her ,
Lizzie im not a great Apple eater as it takes me so long to eat a apple but i would like to try a new variety

Gem enjoy your outing im sure E will love it xx

Daisy will you get the grass cut today ?

Yes Lizzie must look out for those, although like Oma not so much an apple eater these days, used to be addicted to them and eat the core as well. Love them cooked of course.

Oma, that sounds a lovely outing for you both, blow those cobwebs away.

Oma, I am sure GD1 will be pleased when she starts her maternity leave in 3 weeks time. This baby was planned, shame it hasn't been as enjoyable nearer the end, she enjoys feeling it move and invites her sister to have a feel.

Those new type of apple sounds inviting I must look out for them I do enjoy a good apple.
Its sunny here today after a miserable one yesterday,it was dark all day then went straight into night time so very dreary all day really.
I'm having a quiet day today and have just done some washing so nothing exciting I had to freshen up the black bath towels I don't use them really they are just "for show" and I have the coloured ones for every day they are lime green and compliment the black towels well,so am just going to put them out to blow then back down on the sofa to watch TV with a hot cuppa .
                          Oma loving your avitar

Plant im sure she wasn't expecting feeling like she does but when baby gets here it will all vanish

Glamm I have Black and Grey in my downstairs loo , I do find over time the Black doesn't look as black ,but as they are only hand towels cheap enough to replace .
The old ones go to DD for the dog or I pack old towels up and take them to the local animal shelter .

I did have Black tea towels but every time I dried the dishes bits of black fluff came off onto them , no matter how many washes so they are now in the shed used as rags for B

Oma - Poor B having to use rags that with bits of black fluff coming off them! Oma - yes, it's time you got some proper help with all that pain. Don't forget to say it's keeping you awake at nights.

I like apples but so many in the supermarket are tasteless, even Coxes and Granny Smiths (my favourites). I wish there were more varieties, so I'll look out for Lizzie's Spranks if they arrive in the UK.

Plant - your poor GD1. The last month of pregnancy is hard. I think the only consolations I can offer her is that it's not hot weather and she can start counting down the days now. Will they be moving into their new flat before their little girl arrives? I know I asked before, but it seemed uncertain then.

Gem - I've even found myself saying I haven't had time to go for a walk some days!! What on earth have I been doing all day???

We haven't had any sunshine today! It's fairly mild, about 12C, but very cloudy, and now of course, it's going dark.

A lovely sunny day here (before it got dark!)
Very cold, but we all wrapped up warmly and had a good time. It did us all good to get out. I was OK when I was out, but could tell it was time for more painkillers by the time we got back as my throat was sore again and I felt tired. Not too bad though, and the fresh air did me good. Snuggled up warm for the evening now.

Oma, yes do get in touch about your shoulder. You have suffered enough.
I didn't enjoy being pregnant Plant, so can sympathise with your GD.
