I haven't heard today how friends daughter is recovering, they told her it will take a while to fully recover.

Oma, ginger cake!! That was my fathers favourite, maybe only, buy from Marks and Spencers!! Many years ago. He loved that then across the road to Thornton's chocolate shop for his Russian caramels! Memories.

You have a busy day Gem, watch the knee's!

We have a postal app for deliveries and I see that the first album that I made arrives later today.

I have stripped my bed as well, duvet out on the balcony getting some fresh air. I am going out to get mine now, may get some amaryllis for myself on the way, or roses, I know I am not allergic to those.

Lizzie, I hope your friend's daughter makes a good recovery.

Oma, good result from your surgery at last, hope that injection they are offering gives you relief from the pain, how long will it last?

Must do a bit of the dreaded housework today but it is already nearly 10am and I have only just finished breakfast and am not dressed yet. I will tackle the bathrooms, the SRoom will have to wait. Will look in later.

Plenty of time for housework during lockdown Plant, so no rush to get it all done One of my lockdown plans is to thoroughly spring clean the conservatory, something we have talked about for ages and never do!!

Plant I hope it lasts a while , i have had them before in my fingers knees and shoulder and they have lasted a long time , this one will be done at the Hospital .

As Gem said plenty time for housework during lockdown .

Lizzie B puts chunks of Ginger in .
He has a large jar of it in syrup he made a few month ago and he adds some of the syrup so its really gingery , The syrup goes well on Porridge too

Gem i think you should rest your knees for a day or two just to make sure xxx

We are lucky we have a regular slot with Asda every Friday , we found even in the big lockdown you can get a Iceland slot whenever you need it they very good but i think thats because its not a supermarket is it .

We like ginger cake as well. The one i made a few months ago,was a cake mix,and that had pieces of ginger in.

Lizzie, hope your friends daughter makes a good recovery.

Our new windows are coming on Monday. he said the only think that will stop them from working,is if we have a force 10 gale.

Fingers crossed no gale force winds then Nan2!

A successful morning. Sainsbury's shopping collected ( they have moved the collection point since we last collected so we had to drive around a bit looking for it!) Both my M&S orders were there to pick up, and 2 online orders arrived at the house this morning. One before we went out and one after we got back. Excellent timing!
The sun is out now and all fog gone, so I won't have a foggy drive to school.

Another lovely sunny day here. I went for a walk at the beach with DD and Dexter, really lovely but a chilly wind. Being out in the sunshine was wonderful and we took coffee with us and sat and people watched for a while. We have both said we will get out as much as we can when the weather permits and Dexter appreciates the long walks.

Fish and chips for lunch the I feel I need to hoover....however, I may not!! A new book is calling me, rude to ignore it 📚.

Have a good day everyone 🌞

We have to return to UK tomorrow on a repatriation flight or stay until 7 December! Had a good break, even if it’s being cut short! I have enjoyed the sunshine and warm weather. We had an enormous thunderstorm on and off all night and rain this morning. Looking brighter now.

Safe journey home Avo. At least you've had a little break.

Been very sunny here,a bit chilly though.

Avo - what a pity you have had to cut short your long awaited holiday. Safe journey home. I noticed there were more flights than usual going into Bournemouth the day before lockdown and I wondered if they were repatriation flights.

Enfys - I was saying to OH today that the beach is calling. We didn't have time today and Eva needed a run off lead. There's something about sea air that does you good.

Gem - one of those rare days when loads of things could have gone wrong, especially with collections and deliveries, but everything went smoothly. Lovely.

Plant - I'm quite sure the sunroom will wait!

Nanto - fingers crossed for a calm day on Monday for your new windows.

Oma - all this talk of ginger and ginger in syrup is making my mouth water. Did B make the syruppy-ginger himself?

Lizzie - were you pleased with your photo album?

I know I am going to rock the boat but well here goes..........

I detest ginger cake and that also applies to ginger biscuits and ginger beer...... hope I am not sent to sit on the naughty step .
