Glamm is it really that long since your accident

We watched on the news about the hail storm they were massive ,
Your very organised , i have B's Birthday cards in and some Xmas cards but not the special ones , I do have some nice ones so if i cant get out i can send them ,

I have two little Fushia plants in my garden I bought on sale in Morrison's for 48p last year , I left them out in the pots over the winter thinking they would die as they were none to healthy ,
I was surprised when they came back this year and they are still in full bloom .

I dont understand the American elections I barely understand our own but they do seem to drag it out a bit and its very confusing .

Storm is laying asleep amongst the leaves in the garden at the minute , i will have to rub him down before he gets into the sitting room ,
He hates the rain and wind but loves the snow .

      Afternoon noon all.

Gardening all done for the time being, everything that needs sheltering from the winter is tucked up in the grow house or in the shed. Even the outdoor tap has its warm padded coat on to protect it from the cold !

Oma I have an appointment with my hairdresser in December, fingers crossed they will up open again by then . How is your shoulder.

Glamm well done with the Christmas shopping. I dont usually start mine much before December but this year has been different. I have all my cards and wrapping paper. Got Christmas puds and cake and yesterday we took delivery of a turkey crown from our local butcher.
I rang him on Monday to see if I needed to order the turkey early. He said that chickens and turkeys were selling fast , especially the smaller turkeys so if I was happy to have one now to put in the freezer he would deliver it to me.
He said he couldn't guarantee that the prices wouldn't rise in December. Well I didn't need telling twice . The turkey crown is now sitting in my freezer. He even added pigs in blankets to my order As for Christmas presents... well I don't know what to by anyone at the moment. Amazon gift cards seem to bethe easier option.

We could do with a ' what to buy family and friends ' thread if anyone has any ideas?!

      Have a good day everyone
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

Good afternoon..or is it evening? It was a lovely day here today, I managed a walk this morning but have felt so tired this last few days. I nodded off after ,inch and DD woke me when she popped in on her way home from work! She had left early, ut even so I’d been asleep for ages.

I’ve hurt my shoulder so can’t knit ☹️, such a nuisance.

I went to my friends for coffee yesterday and we are trying to think where we can meet outside now we aren’t allowed in each other’s houses. It’s a bit chilly to sit outside so think we’ll have to .walk and chat. GD’s restaurant will be closed, they might do take aways, but we have’nt the worry of her being abroad this time round.

Hope your physio call goes well Oma, but can’t imagine them doing much for you without seeing you.

Off now for tea, and I’ll probably fall asleep again this evening 😴

Enfys - I'm not surprised tiredness is catching up with you. You've coped with so much worry and loss and it's exhausting. Sleep as much as you need to. xx I also think the cold weather is tiring. We've had a couple of days of glorious sunshine, but it's been very chilly.I hope your shoulder's soon better.

Oma - I do hope you can get your shoulder treated properly so you can at least get some sleep.

Grauntie - on the subject of poorly shoulders (there seem to be a lot of them around at the moment) are you getting any checkups for yours?

Mimi - you are well organised this year, but things are a bit different and even I bought Christmas cards today. I like to buy charity cards if possible and I suppose the charity shops will be closed after today which would be too late to get cards to send abroad.

Gem - I have no idea what any of our GCs would like for Christmas!

Thinking about Plant's shed dwellers - I read somewhere that house sales and moves can still take place through lockdown. Fingers crossed they can move into their flat soon.

Fuschia plants - some are hardy, many aren't. If you're leaving them outside in pots put them in a sheltered corner and/or give them a bit of protection - fleece, cosy winter coats or even dry leaves piled onto the surface of the soil. Don't cut them back - leave them till spring. This is the counsel of perfection - I haven't done mine yet!!

We went out early to do some shopping this morning. I got Christmas cards and there were no queues, thank goodness. The bank was a different matter - quite a long line of people waiting for them to open. We called in on DS2 and DIL but didn't stop - they were very busy with it being the last day before lockdown. Then we went on to a local garden centre, who had very little of what I wanted, but I got a selection of bird seed and some potting compost to repot a beautiful Canna lily. It was a present for my birthday in May and it's grown so much it distorted the shape of the plastic inner pot and I couldn't get it out of the lovely pottery pot it came in! I've had to cut the plastic pot and break it up, but it's now in a nice new pot with fresh compost and tucked up in the greenhouse.

I also got a couple of trays of pretty little violas, some tulip bulbs and a tray of wallflowers for a bit of colour in the back garden. Guess what I'm doing tomorrow!!

Enfys, sleep when you need to and never feel guilty about having a nap during the day.

Oma, I do hope your shoulder gets some kind of treatment soon. I know how painful it can be. How a physio can help you over the phone I do not know but hope they can tell you something helpful.

Daisy, shopping with no queue's would be good, I saw a photo of queue's for Primark, one of the comments was " I can understand them queuing to get out of Primark but not to get in"!!!!!

I did get to the library yesterday, it was quite busy with it now being closed for a fortnight, at least.

Good morning everyone. Although it's frosty again, it's bright and sunny, so I'm going to get to work on the garden again - while I'm in the mood.

I'll pop back later, but I hope everyone is ok on this first day of Lockdown Mark2! xxx

Nice and bright this morning, didn't get the frost that was forecast.

I was awake most of the night, so didn't wake up until 7.30.
                    Ah well, onwards and upwards.

                      Good morning everyone.
Nan2, I love the graphic No frost for us this morning, unlike yesterday.
Sorry you had a bad night. I was awake reading between 3 and 5, but did manage to get back to sleep until 8.

Enfys I'm sorry you hurt your shoulder (there's a lot of it about on here!) I hope it's better soon. Yes walk, chat, sit on benches if it's not too cold, will be the way to socialise for the next month.
Daisy, I think we should resurrect the LockDown Diaries!
Let us know how the phone physio goes Oma.
Lizzie I agree, I would queue to get out of Primark!!

No plans, as we in lockdown again.
I have newsletters to deliver, which I may do today, or another day.

                      Have a nice day ladies.

My Aqua teacher is holding a Zoom exercise class this morning, just stretching etc. I shall attempt to join in but have to be a bit careful about my neck, which is feeling a bit better.

Oma, I hope you get some help with your shoulder soon.

Enfys, I think your body needs that total rest after all the months of worry and tension. Go with it and don't feel guilty. So sorry you have a shoulder problem.

I am planning to go to a farm shop today to get veg. on the way I am going to drop off a cottage pie and scones to GS1 and family. My DD is going to do her day of looking after her GC at their house so I will not get to see them until after lockdown. I will leave the pie and scones on the step and ring the bell.

Lizzie what could Primark have that people feel the need to queue like that , although the youngsters all seem to love it ,
They sell cheap clothes and as we live in a throw away society its ideal for them , buy cheap wear once throw away

Plant, maybe you should be in the shower for your aqua class Seriously though, yes be careful of your neck.

Oma, no golf It is one of the safest sports for distancing, but golf clubs are not allowed to open now. Instead of the golf course this morning OH is at the dining room table with a jigsaw!
I can still do childcare. I will pick up GD and GS2 from school tomorrow and bring them back here for tea.

Exciting activity for me today will be colouring my hair. I am also expecting several parcels and some are due today.

Enfys you have been through so much it's not wonder you are feeling so unwell, it's your body telling you to slow down, take a deep breath and try not to think about things too much .
This also applies to Clover and Glamm . Be kind to yourselves, heaven knows that's difficult with the way things are.

We have been for a stroll this morning in the sunshine . Saw a few neighbours not bothered about social distancing, . Dread to think what it will be like tonight when they have a fireworks party in their garden.

Have a good day everyone, I'm off to clean the fridge, oh the non stop excitement....when will it start!

Plant B almost joined you with a sore neck , by the time he went through them all I wanted to put my hands around his neck and squeeze

I made him choose just a normal Ding Dong but he discovered a Jingle bells one he said he's putting on at Christmas Not if i have anything to do with it hahaha
